Killing the Age Old Rockhopper causes all rockhoppers to despawn. The room the Sambata Tribal Adivsor spawns are replaced by the Sambata Tribesmen. The named can now be camped.
Dropped a Leather Handled something or other sword, maybe longsword, today. Rotted before I went back to check the name but he had another sword with him besides the Veen's Shortsword.
just killed this fellow at location +1460,-1814 Hit him for a total of 21k and no rune or any other loot. Killde the regular Sambata several times to get the spawn. Have beeen camping for 3 hours to get nothing. Oh well need the rune will keep going>
I requested that the rune he drops be increased. What they did was increas the mobs attack.he now hits for 157 damage an has a additional 4500 hit points.an he still dosent drop the rune!i have tried this for over 3 months now.
I was shard farming here with my 65 chanter, and he was here and conned DB. I was kind of surprised, because the others are green or LB, but I thought he was about 50 or so. I pulled him, rune tanked him easily (he hit for 60s when rune broke), and let my pet melee as I nuked, dotted, and slowed. He had a lot of hp, but I didn't get below 90m or 80% hp (while he only crunched through one rune, he did dot me a few times which got my hp down). He had no loot except a rune and a 5/27 sword with no stats.
Surprised to learn he is 60, although I did get almost a blue of AA xp, so he could be.
Solo'd him a while back, the erudite version, just a 65 necro by myself. He does hit as hard as they say, doesn't summon though. Let pet tank, Mind Wracked every chance I got and was in SoS form the whole time. Healed pet only a handful of times though, Horror, Blood of Thule, and Funeral Pyre of Kelador stuck right off the bat, no problems landing them. He did keep dispelling my pet though, that was annoying, luckily pet like to keep its DS up all the freakin time though. Pet kept aggro and was a short sweet waste of time, as the stingy punk didn't drop anything. Good luck to the rest of you.
Ok I lied, he spawned again and I took a more aggressive approach, slowed, dotted and nuked while melee'ing with pet. He dropped pretty quick and I was still 60 mana. He didnt dot me or dispell the pet or myself. Lots of interrupts from the pet proc helps. I've seen him drop a 62 druid in seconds, so if his spells stick on you, you might be in a world of hurt and it can go either way pretty quickly.
Solo'd him with 62 BST. He dispelled the pet alot so much of my mana was spent rebuffing pet. His resist against slow was pretty good, took 4 tries to stick it. About a 5 min fight and almost OOM afterwards, didnt have to hit paragon though. He's definitely not as easy as some people say.
I'm a level 62 shaman, and I have soloed other somewhat tough mobs.
This guy is way harder than I expected. I was camping my lucid shard and didn't think to con him. This ******* was dual wielding his sword and hammer. Hits for around 175, dispells, and uses necro dots. He made the emp of seb look like a *****.
The first time I fought him he killed my pet and almost got me. The second time I junk buffed myself and my pet. All my resists were over 150 and he didn't land a single spell on me. He still wasn't easy, but my bess guess is he would have been half as hard without dual wielding and if I had torpor.
I am not sure what Verant are playing at with this guy, I assumed he was a bug but as he is still there, maybe not. The mob that originally spawned in his spot was a A Tribal Advisor, a 40th Cleric who dropped Cleric items, apparently this mob now spawns outside. Now we have a 60 Erudite Necro I mean, WTF? the hunting ground is really for High 30's to 40's and there is a 60th Necro in there...Who is also guarding the area that spawns many of the TS drop mobs making those quests even more of a pain than they were. With the exception of the sword, he is still dropping the original Tribal advisors items, so I still think this is a ***** up.
I took my Beastlord from 39 - 50 farming hopper hides, so everytime the tribals were up I had to kill the leader so I saw him a lot. He does not spawn outside, he spawns in the left (I think, it's been a while) side cave all the way in. You have to almost be looking for him as there are tons of mobs you have to get past to even get deep enough inside to even see him. Never once did I see him pop anywhere else. Trying (probably unsuccessfully) not to make this sound like a flame.
