Bone Ring of Disharmony is now a CONFIRMED drop on Foreman Gworknop.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12626

(Edit: Tag Foreman Gworknop as a raid encounter in the Mob Graveyard. Also do the same for acryliacavernes 1.0 - Witchdoctor Gnorgtarg.)

Added Witchdoctor Gnorgtarg. Is he part of the "The Foreman's Ring" event or a separate encounter? If the latter, please provide details.

Tackled him again, more new loot discovered for his table....

Bloodstained Robes
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=64630

Please at to his table.

(If also possible, manually make that item (Vial of Suspened Mana) as it is no longer possible to send a cross server tell from Al'Kabor. Not sure when, if ever, it'll be fixed)

Note: These robes may be bugged... no slot to wear them.

We have no way to manually create items and instead rely on people to run Item Collector as they play for both new items and updates to already-uploaded items.

This is a ***new drop***, not on Google anywhere. (Grats Celede)

Vial of Suspended Mana

Please create a page for it. The screen shot of it is here: http://idisk.mac.com/wyatt_lavigne/public/VialofSuspendedMana.jpg

Please create a page for it and link it to both Foreman Gworknop and the Foreman's Ring.

Thanks.

We no longer manually create item pages, instead relying on people to download and run Item Collector in the background as they play. Since you're on a Mac-only server, this won't work, but if you can link the item in serverwide channels it should show up eventually.

Sadly, a cross server tell is no longer possible on Al'Kabor. I guess it was broken about a year ago or more. There is no way I can get that data to a PC server. Manual seems the only option for Al'Kabor.

I am most pleased to announce that Foreman Gworknop was downed on Sunday, August 14th, 2011 in an open raid on Al'Kabor. This is the first time he's been killed since April 2003, as at the moment he is an Al'Kabor only mob.

Raid Information:

Max hit of 750.
Triples
Procs a 1k lifetap (-350 MR check) called Terror Lifetap (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=13323)
Permarooted
Summons
Unslowable
Rootable and snareable (go figure on a permarooted mob)

He is surrounded by 10 permarooted, unslowable, summoning guards. (When we first killed him, he popped twice along with 20 guards).

Strategy Information for the Foreman's Ring:

To start the ring, you must kill ALL the Grimling Death Guards BEFORE they respawn. You have approximately 12 minutes to kill all 10. If you take longer than that, then they will start to repop and you'll have to up your DPS and try again.

The targetable version of Foreman Gworknop will spawn with 10 undead Death Guards. At this point you have a choice to make: You can either choose to wait approximately 20 to 30 minutes for the guards to despawn on their own or (if sufficient force) you can choose to kill all 10 first to save some time.

If you decide not to wait, then have between 1 and 5 people aggro ALL the guards and the Foreman. Those people stay out of the fight until only the Foreman is left standing. This is done so that the guards and the Foreman do not attack anyone that is next to them.

The MT engages and starts to kill the 10 guards one by one by one. The raid assists and kills the guards. It is EXTREMELY important that melee toons watch for a shielding emote. The other guards will occasionally shield the currently being killed mob. When this happens, they take 75% of the melee damage that is currently being dished out on the MA's target (nukers can keep nuking as shielding doesn't shield from nuke damage). If melee peeps are too slow to stop attacking in time, the shielding guard will reach 98% health and summon the peeps that initially aggroed it. At that point all 10 (or less remaining) guards along with the Foreman will all gang up and basically instantly kill the toon that was assigned to aggro them. At that point of the toon being killed, aggro will be lost all all remaining guards and the Foreman will lay wasted to the raid in short order.

If all goes well, all 10 guards will be killed with no mishaps (in our case 20 the first time), and the raid tanks and spanks the Foreman.

Summary: The key to this is to have 1 to 5 people aggro all the guards and the Foreman. The guards are killed one by one until only the Foreman is left standing. Melee must be hyper careful to stop attacking the instant they see a shielding emote or they'll wipe the raid.

Loot Information: (More will be added as time goes on)

Bloodstained Robes (confirmed)
Bone Ring of Disharmony (confirmed)
Crown of the Defender (confirmed)
Emaciated Maul of the Overseer (confirmed)
Short Bone Blade of the Grimling (confirmed)
Vial of Suspended Mana (confirmed) (This drop is NOT in Lucy/on the internet)

Note: The Foreman only drops one item per kill of him. HOWEVER, it seems you can trigger his ring event again and again and again.

Is this the Ring of Fire event or a separate event? If separate, does the event have a name?

This is a separate ring called "The Foreman's Ring".

I'll keep updating the loot as it drops. When I post confirmed drops, I'll be asking you to remove the ODD item from the Ring of Fire, as I think one or two drops from that ring are actually from The Foreman's Ring.

Later on this year, we'll be doing the Summoner's Ring, Archmage Ring and the Ring of Slaughter. At the moment, we haven't attempted them yet. When we do, I might be asking you to set up a separate quest section for each of those rings depending upon how involved they are.

I've added a placeholder quest where you can add more information as you come across it.
