in the vah shir fort in Grimling Forest. The guards *do* attack if you kill it there, however.

I went to the Shar Vahl zone here and didnt see the Grimling Prisoner listed. Anways, I killed them very easy with my 39 Warrior. They had less than 200hp, and the guards didnt even come to help. I also attacked Gendalic after he cast 251 damage on me and I resisted his root, after hitting him for around 500hp he fell. Neither had loot or faction hits.

Has anyone killed these prisoners? It would seem easy enough to take two of them by locking yourself in the cell with them. Do the guards come and protest?

I've done just that... it was pretty easy, if you're at a good level... but then his buddies in the other cells came and tried to beat up on me too... i ended up having to run after taking about 4 out, and two still came for me wile i was in the room with the Shaman and Beastlord spell vendors
