I found it very easy to use the pet trick with just one pet. Just put pet on guard as mentioned and move in that direction a little bit. Call pet and have him guard there. Move foward again. Eventually you will run across him or DS, or your pet will turn around, meaning you went too far or veered off course slightly. All in all it took me bout 3 minutes to find him.

Just an advice to avoid to be killed...

First, always use a sow, maybe run3 but not sure... If Death Squad appears, flee if you may not fight...

Second, it seems that if you are not touching the ground, trap are not activated... So SOE is not recommanded.

Then to finish, use a pet mago as this nice one may show the nearest target when he is guarding... Just run in the direction indicated by the fabulous one (thks Elowindel). Of course, cautious, trap may hide an embush... and kill you like a small frog.

Okay, I had no idea what this post meant, so here is the clarification -

Go find you a snow bunny and charm it(be sure to be SoWed). go near the Kael chasm and do a "/pet guard here" command. The pet will turn towards the nearest NPC. Get behind the pet then run in a straight line in the direction the pet is facing and you will either get Tanik or the Death Squads. Either way, you find the trip point.

Normally he despawns very quickly, but can be held indefinately by a constant barrage of Hails.

Use a level 1 Rallos Zek warrior to spring the traps. The Kromrif Death Squad will just stand there staring at him until they despawn. Tanik will not attack him either.

Note that the trap locations are RANDOM after every server reset. They are all in the same general area, but their exact location does change on server resets. They do not move otherwise though. They seem to have a respawn time of several minutes after their tripped mobs despawn, but I'm not sure of how long. Also, multiple traps can be sprung at the same time (ie, you could have 3 seperate sets of the KDS up at once).

HOW do i use a Level 1 Rallos Zek warrior What is a L1 RZ Warrior? Where do i find one? How do i get him to do what is required...those are just a few of the questions off the top of my head. A little more detail would sure help.
My druid tried for 3 hours - nothing, not even a ds to break the boredom. My daughter's shammy, on the other hand, managed to trip the ds 5 times, dying once.

He was meaning create a new toon, a WAR that follows Rallos Zek. Use him to pop the traps since the death squads won't attack.

If i had to guess..it would be to run over the spawn points..facing tunnel to kael, 2 on right and 2 on left. The left ones run parralel with kael tunnel, right ones are perpendicular near the part of the tunnel that starts going west (beginning of ramp).
