Ok Corruptor was DB to me at 54. I hit myself with all buffs Virtue an KEI plus my Infusion of the faithful. Hit him with 3 dots then Scoraie a couple of times not even a challenge.
Is it possible to solo this. How long does it take to complete handins? Can you do the handins and clear the area before the corruptor and reavers arrive?
Yes, this can be soloed quite easily if you can handle the Dark Elf Corrupter alone. Just did this with my 60 druid. After the hand in to Althene, Sionae pops to the north within tracking distance, after that Nuien pops to the west on the hill, then Teloa pops to the east on cliff. I then gated to the ridge where the corruptor spawns and waited about 2 min for him to pop. I immediately rooted him, piled on dots, then nuked until dead, which took about 1 min tops. Looted tome and ran to Althele only to see reavers kill the whole group. Waited an hour for Althele to pop, did turn in, done. If you don't mind waiting an hour just ignore the reavers.
I will second that warning.. watch for him on track and stay far away unless you have a good high-level tank and healer there to deal with him. He is part of the Warrior epic 1.5.. hits for up to 658 and summons.
Lucky for me I was killed by him on the way to do my turn-in to spawn the corruptor and not after. Think I would kill myself if I had to do that Faelin camp again. :P
Myself 52 ranger and a 58 rogue went to karna. I did my turn ins as rogue hung out at the posted loc. Corrupted spawns first. bout 5 secs later the two reavers pop. We let the reavers run and took down the corrupted easily (me to 60% and rogue to 80% .. virted both). I could have snared the two but why? I thought this would be tough with the two of us. So needless to say reavers killed althele and together my team took em down after for giggles. Camped there and came back on next day. Althele was back and i did turn in. Hope this helps. Three low 50 toons could handle this part easy. Good luck.
I can confirm after Athele has been killed by reavers reaching her camp she respawns in an hour. If you do nothing else just focus on rooting and killing the corruptor. From all these posts I expected a big thing, but hell if you can believe it this fight is easier than the final fight you have to do for the lvl 49 ranger spell Call of Flame. Just get 1 wizard with Strike of Solusek to come and wait at the spot and he's dead in 3 nukes maybe 2 if there's a critical hit. Anyway the point is kill the corruptor anyway you can and don't worry about the reavers if you can't kill them because athele will take the book hand in just fine after she respawns from being killed...
I tried doing the hand-in with a friend of mine (hes a 47 ranger, I'm a 51 ranger)He did his hand-ins first, got the Corrupter and Reavers to spawn and we killed them, but before he turned in his Fleshbound Tome, group told me to do my hand-ins so we wouldn't have to wait for druids to re-spawn again. Bad idea. Did all the hand-ins, druids said all the stuff they are supposed to, but because they were all in a group together and 47 ranger friend hadn't turned in his Tome, the Corrupter and Reavers never popped a second time. Had to start the whole thing over.
So, if you are doing this with a pal, do the WHOLE thing once, wait for re-spawn, then do again. Tough lesson to learn.
No matter which zone you come from, you'll head South. If you look at the map, she is just a little West of Sharna (Merchant) and on the downslope to the shoreline.
She stands in a group with Tholris and I would assume his pet wolf, Fang. This loc is -3658, -1590 and so far she hasn't moved in the past 20 minutes.
But first i would mark the spot on the hill where the DE Corruptor and DE Reavers are supposed to spawn, -1500, -1000. This is place where you want to place your group. Have an enchie mezz the Reavers while your tanks beat the snot out of The DE Corruptor.
I have not confirmed that last part, but I will very soon (later today) and I will edit this post yet again.
--edit--
I can now confirm this. The DE Reavers will pop 20 feet or so off to the East of the that loc, and 20 sec before the DE Corruptor pops. The Corruptor pops at that specific location after there's a /say by the Corruptor about "innoruuk".
I turned in my worn metal coin to athele which spawned Sionae. Turned in the braided grass amulet to her and received the frayed braided grass amulet which spawned Nuien. Gave that item to Nuien who gave it back (supposed to) and that spawned Teola. Gave that item to Teloa and gated myself back to my party.
Party at loc -1500, -1000. 51 SK (MA) 56 Ench (mezzed the DE Reavers) 41 SK (doing whatever lol) 53 MNK (dps) 54 Necro (did his thing) and me, 51 DRU (didn't even have to heal 'til after all 3 mobs were killed)
But yeah, bind yourself at your party's loc and after the 4th turn in (the one to Teola) gate back asap and wait about 10 seconds max. The SK wailed on him and did his HT for fun. The Corruptor conned DB to my 51 and had the hp of a seafury. Don't recall how much any of the mobs hit for.
My guildmates and I have done this portion of the epic six times over the past couple of days. When the DE Corruptor is killed and the Fleshbound Tomb is returned to Althele the respawn time appears to be one hour. Our first attempt failed as the DE Corruptor despawned on us. In this instance her respawn time seemed to be 30 minutes. We never let the DE Reavers kill the druids, so I cannot comment on the respawn time under those circumstances.
Heh, I've done lots of killing in Growth, so she's KoS to me, but Fang and Tholris are on the exact same faction as her by the site, but Fang is apprehensive and Tholris is indifferent. I wonder if those factions are right.
