Spirit of Tawro  

easily soloable as a 71 necro with 100 aa. Dropped wand of cursed souls, edge of honor, and bracelet of beauty. Thought I'd kill bosses in UP for the heck of it. The good old days.

Attempting to get a 74 Paladin and a 69 Necro through the tunnels to the PH and eventually the Spirit along with a 35 Pally (Mine). This is going to be one happy lvl 35 Pally wielding a nice axe or hammer.. Let you all know how it works out.

Seems to me that the 74 Pally is tearing up the netherbians so far...
It's insane to be a 35 pally watching this guy ravage through them..
Necromancer is waiting atop looking at the PH with growing eagerness.

*Sigh* He's dead.. but no axe, or hammer for that matter. 74 Pally went LD after we got the Spirit down to 28%... yay for me, FD.
Dropped: Bracelet of Might, Longsword of Freedom, Rod of Virtue.

Meh, killed again, this time only dropping Bracelet of Sense, Wand of Cursed Souls, and the Rod of Virtue. Guess I'm waiting another 10 hours. yay..

Anyone know the spawn time on this joker? Killed him 3 times now, off and on over 5 days, anyone know roundabout what his spawn time is? 0-3 on word drops though ( easily, (stress easily) done by 69 mage and 61 shaman for slow.

me 65 pal, my ranger 65, and a 61 bard took this dude down. fairly easy, here's how:
just used invis versus undead for the netherbian mobs, and proceeded to the Swarmcaller. Swarmacaller is immune to rng's harmony but not Root. Rooted swarmcaller and ran past him and camped aggro.

camped back in and proceeded to first snow room with 4 vas ren aliens. There's three on the right side of the room and 1 on the left. The casters see through invis; they don't resist harmony though. kill them or try to invis/harmony past, your call.

bard slowed Tawro, I tashed with journeyman's stick, and weakened mob with a cracked claw of zlandicar. Ranger also used his proc-Slowing sword to help out some. Once real tawro popped did all that again, had ranger layout all of his DoTs, and had paladin use Heal over Time spells on himself for the duration of the battle. Ending up using lay hands and having 40mana by the time he was dead; total kill time was about 15 minutes. Was able do it with just self buffs and without KEI. Fun stuff

The adds are easy to take care of..Invis vs Undead puller zone adds...wait til adds gone MT tags him and you fight. easy way to make 7-8k every few days.

61 Cleric, 61 Monk, 61 Shadowknight, 52 Shadowknight, 62 Shaman. After owning Radir we were pretty confident that killing Tawro would be just as easy. You have to be very carefull while in the entrance of Tawros cave there is horrible aggro here and wanderers will add and attack you from outside the cave. Ive done Tawro maybe three times and its happened every time. So you will want to med up outside somewhere if you need to and pull see invis mobs in the first room outside so you can invis past the rest to the relative safety of the second hallway ASAP. The first part of the cave which is the dirt part has Netherbians which are all pretty straightforward but they will run at low health the only ones that see through invis I think are the hive fiends. The second room (i think) is where the Swarmcaller spawns and subsequently the Swarmlord and Fleshrot in a mini ring. If you are going for Tawro you dont have to worry about the Swarmlord and his minions untill you are on the way back. All named in this room see invis. When the cave turns to ice it gets hairy. Syl Ren cannot be stunned, Warders/Callers will gate (I dont remember which) and can cast a mean cold based AoE rain spell that does 1-2k damage I estimate and the casters see invis. Theres only one room full of these bastards after that you get Tawro and he is very easy fight he does not do anything but does enrage there are no other mobs in his room to split. In any case going after Tawro is more difficult as there are more see invis mobs, they run, half cant be stunned and they gate and cast an obscene AoE spell. Other then that the cave is much smaller than Radir's with only 3-4 rooms or so.

On Veeshan server me and my guild (Das Ubel) dropped this guy in approx. 9 minutes. I know this because I had just recast Legacy of Thorns when we killed his first form and it ran out mid battle. He's a long fight but not really a difficult one I gotta say, we had our guild leader (SK) tank him while the clerics healed when required. Blah blah blah, usual strategy. He dropped the Longsword of Freedom, the Edge of Honor, and the Bracelet of Fortitude. Our other SK got the edge, only person that could use the LSoF was a rogue and he didn't really seem to want it when I talked to him, and the BoF went to one of our monks. Gratz to them says me, but where the hell is the DRUID gear! Oh well, next time maybe. ;)

We did him with 2 players both dual boxing. 60 druid, 60 necro, 62 pally and 56 shammy. Shammy landed slow on second try after malo. He dropped Bracelet of Sense , Stave of Wit and Flaming Dirk Shammy won the bracer, Necro looted the stave and alt of necro won the dirk. Nice rewards for a relatively easy fight.

A relatively easy encounter; can invis to his cave, no adds in his cave. Slowable by a 55 shaman, also slowable by 54 BL epic proc. Fight can take a long time, but as long as cleric/CHer has mana is very doable.

UP is a strange zone sometimes; watch out for warping 'under the world'. Our ranger missed the fight because she was summoned there by Neth. Swarmcaller who warped under the world at low health and nabbed her. She finished it off (probably also due to DoT damage on him) but could not get out. A mage grouped but left at zoneline might be a decent precaution.

My 51 rogue is now the proud owner of a Flaming Dirk, yay.

The group was: 56 cleric, 56 enchanter (me), 53 ranger, 59 warrior, and 50-something ranger.

We didn't fight our way in exactly, except a few critters; invisibility and SoW got us in just fine. The spirit took a lot longer to kill than Tawro Earthquake himself.

Dropped Wand of Cursed Souls and Bracelet of Might.

Our guild isn't super big or super powerful, and we have been trying to kill Tawro for a while. We finally did it today, and it was an ease. The turnout from our guild was quite awesome today, got like 14 people. We hit him for a while after slowing him, and lost a warrior due an unfortunate accident (the warrior was at low health, and when Spirit of Tawro spawned; he got smacked). Spirit of Tawro dropped the wand and a bracelet of quickness; I personally was hoping for a flaming dirk, since i am a rogue, but it is good for the guild overall. I would recommend this mob to guilds in need of good items but are not yet powerful.

I've been in UP awhile now but haven't been able to fight more of the 59-60 mobs other than a few of the named Gantrus and the Dark Masters. The Gantrus always drop something but the Dark Masters don't. For a mob that has 50-60k hp, the DM are a bit of a waste of time. Do the spirits always drop an item or is it random? Thanks.

edit: finally saw Tawro up and got the chance to take this guy down. Another easy fight since he's slowable. I parsed him for 56,935 in melee damage. I'm not sure how much the necro/enc/druid landed in nukes and dots, I'm guessing 20k or so. Our fight lasted 543 seconds with a group of six (60 nec/enc/druid/pal, 56 rogue and 56 cleric). Our paladin took 22,895 in damage; max hit 325 and min 107 (bash max 107, kick max 109)

Dropped the Rod of Virtue (clr already had it, epic druid didnt really need it) and the INT bracer. Slow the guy and it's a real easy fight.

Can this guys be slowed or is he like doomshade?

Just a fact about him that I did not see listed.. he is a summoned mob so those lines of spells work well on him.

Got bracelet of comprehension off of him last night w/ one group.. so he drops this too. Probly drops all bracers.
