I really want to aleviate some pressure on people right now, first of all, anybody here who says he didn't summon is either lying, or there was a patch that screwed it up or something, HE DOES SUMMON...now, don't be all worried or anything, this guy is the opitimy of a pushover...I don't know what kind of tactics people were using but this guy couldn't be any easier...I was level 55 when I did this, and I have pretty good gear, but nothing to make you cream your pants about...now...my first fight I walked up to him with doubt in my mind...I pulled out pet, buffed it with everything I had in me, targeted Thuuga and started by slowing him, with a quick release of my pet...so far so good, no summon, slow stuck first shot...my pets beating on him, and I'm pretty worried at this point because no clerics with a decent rezz EVER come to FM anymore...so before the fight I loaded gate, and EVERY DoT I had scribed...I quickly released each DoT one by one, and did get summoned a few times, but with my 75% slow, I didn't take any damage, now, Thuuga's dropping fast, almost 10% per tick, I'm starting to see how easy this fight really is, so I decide that what the hell, let me go wack him a few times, maybe i'll get turned into a gobby, and that would pwn...so I targeted myself, and started casting the gem that should have been haste normally...and I gated while he was at about 20% and all DoT's still firmly in place...damn...all that for nothing, being bound in PoK i quickly memmed SoC, and Spirit of Scaled myself, and ran like a demon to get to that corpse, praying he was on a half an hour decay timer, but when I finally got back to his mountain, I didn't find his corpse, or him alive, so I can only assume he got bit the big one and decayed on a normal 8minute timer...a couple of days later I'm running through FM camping that DAMN slate chant rock...and decide to check if Thuuga's up...and he is...so this time, I walked into the fight with a bit more knowledge of how much of a chump this guy really was. I quickly memmed my pet up, and my 2 best DoT's and was very careful not to mem gate...hehe...so after the first fight, resisting all his attempts to change me into a gobby, I figured I'd Malo myself and let him do, so Malo was done, and I walked over, slowed him, sicked my pet, dropped my two best DoT's...and finally was changed into a goblin...god I looked pimp...Thuuga went down with ease...he never made me heal my pet, he never hit for more than 150...and usually was less than that...I looted my essence, and sent away my pet...I wanted to test to see if I would still catch agro from goblins, and I did, they were scowl nonetheless...then I quickly checked the zone, to find that there were in fact 3 other 30ish people in the zone, no doubt camping the giant fort, so I ran as fast as my now, little goblin legs, would take me...upon reaching them and seeing them there, I quickly formulated a plot, I turned on /anon so that my guild tag wouldnt' show, and I quickly made some hotbuttons, getting ready to scare them half to death, my first one, was a little say message with something along hte lines of, "How dare you defile the lands of the Death Mountain Goblins!! You shall pay the price in blood heathens!"...and then I made a few others along the lines of /shout Synadine Silversurferr hits YOU for 334 points of damage!, randomly adding numbers so when I did rush them I could click them off, and the red /shouts on there screen at first glance would look like they were getting hit on...the plan was set, I ran up to them, hit my /say hotbutton of, and one of them was already running for LOIO zoneline, as soon as i started hitting my /shout buttons, the other two left, both gated out...BOY DID I GET SOME HATE TELLS AFTER THAT!! I was laughing so hard I think that I almost threw up, HAHA, anyway, goblin faded off rather quickly, and when the 3 adventurers came back I was a good sport and buffed their group before leaving them...in the end, and needless to say, Thuuga is an easy fight, and definately my favorite goblin of them all!
62 Ranger here soloed easily. Pulled with dots, immune to snare, so i ranger slowed him to 50% and beat the **** out of him. took about 2 min. Does summon.
Thought I'd post my experience with him. I'm a 55th season shaman, with the 49th pet. (Can't afford the new pet yet.) I'm out here trying to find stonechanters and rockchanters, for the final ingriedient so I can finish my 6th cudgel. I walked head first into this guy... with only sow and hos on. Pet was dual wielding, and had hos. Slapped him with a malosi, my 1k poison dot, my 1k disease dot, and chain casted ice strike. After fight I had 20% mana, 45% health. Doggie came out with 75% health. Got a nice screenshot of us both in the goblin illusion. I never got summoned, but then I never tried to flee. I have around 2khp and 1kac with hos on. Reading here at the horror stories... perhaps he was meant for shamans to kill. I personally had no problem.
I went to FM to check out Droga's when I pulled this guy up on track (DB to 54 Ranger). Only DB con I had so I pulled him with Immolate to the level spot where the Iksar statues are and prepared to lay my other 2 stackable DoTs on him while I beat his brains in. After about 10 seconds I looked at my HP and noticed my 50% vs his 82% did not bode well (he hit me for up to 225). Tried root (resisted) then headed out cause zone not too far. Did not pay attn to what he laid on me for spells but after being summoned repeatedly as my HP eroded, I resigned myself to the inevitable.
This guy does nothing for my class but I am now obligated to go back and redecorate the mountaintop with his entrails, probably with another 50+ melee and a Cleric friend, or at some point nearer lvl 60.
Me and some friends saw this guy up and (against my judgement) the rogue tagged him.. got hit with the goblin illusion and smacked for 195 and took off running for zone. Thuuga was yellow at 48, so he didnt summon, we out ran him easily and cleared agro without zoning. just out of curiosity I told the rogue to con a goblin to check faction while under the goblin illusion. Guess what? Indifferent. The illusion apparently makes you indifferent to the other goblins in FM. Kinda of a neat idea if you want mess with people or explore. =P
I ran into this guy and figured oh named may as well tag him, also hit me with polymorphic mayhem then summoned me 3 times as i was running off. blue to level 52
I love fighting this guy! The Goblin Illusion spell he casts on you (called: Polymorphic Mayhem) is hilarious! Being a ranger, the loss in INT or WIS didn't really bother me. I just ran to zone, he didn't summon me either.
A 61 Warrior friend and I went back a few nights later just for the illusion and messed with lowbies at the giant fort for a while LOL. Imagine 2 goblins comin' at ya. One with lightning swords and the other with glowing lightsabres?! Too funny! I just wish the illusion would last when you zoned.
I pretty much solo'd him with my 53 bard, took awhile, he summons and procs a 100 point dd every 10 seconds or so, It turns you into a goblin and lowers your int and wis a ton. I had to dot him and heal with SS bp. He has mass regen near the end of fight so a passing by necro nuked him for me at 5%. Dropped a channeling essence.
Rokin (ranger 52) and I, (ranger 56) tried him last nite. She was curious, I know better. He turned her into a little green gobby. I tried root and snare, no luck and then I was a big green gobby. We both made it to zone and didn't get summoned. Maybe he didn't know which of us to kill. So we lived to tell about it. Luckier than most of you, this time.
I was farting around FM, wanting to quad some giants, burynai, etc, when I see Thugga on top of a mountain. Being cocky and stupid, I figured I'd pull him with a 1200 pt DOT and see what happened next. Well, long story made short, I couldn't snare or root him, he summoned me every five seconds or so, and I got killed! My biggest blunder was NOT having gate loaded, every time I tried to mem it, I got summoned. As I prepared to die, I noticed that my 1200 pt DOT hadn't put much of a dent in him (I estimate that he has 10-12K hps). Moral of the story: ALWAYS have Gate memmed, I'd have gotten away if I had.
as somone said befor, he is for th 8th and final cudgle. An iksar shaman quest the rewards you with an ausome weapon...14 220 hella stats and right clicks carnage. A full melee stat buff free of cost for who ever you want!!! IMO beter weapon then epic. hard quest though.
I could sum it up in a word and say no... but it's not just a case of no its more like hell no you fool! Not trying to flame but warriors are the worst soloers in the game and no way one could ever solo a monster level 51 unless he was a true badass.
I am a lvl 51 druid and to see blue in this zone i had to go and find it hey i like exp . but he was one hard hitter ... so running for my life ... didnt make and didnt know ihas been turn into a goblin. so took for every to find my body .. ask a gm with little luck there seeing how i had a foot sticking out and didnt know that green foot was mine.. but i will be back to kick his butt.
Casts a spell Polymorphic Mayhem, it's a 100pt damage spell that also turns you into a goblin, strangely enough. I started laughing until he summoned me. Blue at 51 for me, doubled for 205.
I was an avid cycler in my mid level days. So when traveling from DL to HS i see a mob in FM.. a mob i had never seen before..Mr. Dengible.
'Hmmmmmm' me thunk to me self. Who could this be? obviously a peon, shining White on track. So i wolf formed my druid self and went on the scout. I ended up un top of the mountain with the big iksar statues.
'Easy flat surface' i thunk ' Ill just root dot him'
Hmmm, well when i met this gobbie face to face, i was in for a rude awakining... he trip hit me for over 174 a pop!!
'Okies.. Snare him Phennie and run!'
I cast and low and behold.. .D'OH!!!!! he is unable to be rooted or snared!
'Okies... high tail outta here! make for the nearest zone!' i figured.
YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED- trip hit 175, trip hit 175... i escape his clutches... im clear! YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED- trip hit 175, trip hit 175...
Ouch dead druid!
REVENGE IS SWEET!!!!
So later on, maybe after a month, im now a hot shot lvl 54 hehe, and bring back some reinforcements. It was a 56 pally, 55 war, 53 shammie and a 54 cler... we owned his green little *** (all girls we are by the way : ) Blade Quest on tholuxe rocks!)
But something funny, he turned the war in pally into goblins! fun screen shots! seeing a goblin pally with a burning sword hehe.
He dropped Changeling Essence, whatever that is.

#REDACTED,
Posted:May 08 2002 at 11:39 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok, so, Im a 53 Ranger, pretty confident in my abilities. I attacked this ******* and he just disappeared. WTF? Anyhow, Im walking away, and suddenly, IM SUMMONED.
me (52 mage) and a 53 druid buddie of mine almost killed this guy, pretty easy for the damage he lays out, had em to way under half then summoned druid friend when he didnt have enough hp for his next round of attacks, maybe sometime we will get him.
He was blue to my 51 Bard. I kept my bard at 51 for a long time, because I was told nothing under 51 would summon you on kunark. That way if I saw something white or higher I knew there was a chance of being summoned. If it was blue or lower I would be safe. As a bard, if it doesn't cast, doesn't summon, and isn't 100%MR I can solo it. Well.. After being summoned and killed by this guy (fairly quickly I might add) I don't use the 51+ rule of thumb :p
i feel lucky then ... i have a 48 druid ... i was sow'd and made it to the zone with 1 bar of health left....he was summoning me the whole time... i think my chloro save me he was hitting for 255.... i couldn't snare him at all .. managed to land a dot and a calefaction on him
This guy took out me and a 56 druid I was with. He hits for up to like 250 and summons. Seems to have a heck of a lot of hp's 2. Anyone know his purpose?
