The placeholder, according to some other guides I've read, is a Thought Leech in the easternmost cave of the cave network to the south of Mons Letalis.
However, I've camped these caves for countless hours, and picked up just about every other rare spawn there is apart from the Ebony Horror. I'm beginning to think the spawn is bugged.
