I was farming her for many months on Al`Kabor for her mask. I got AHR's mask (which is far better) before Katta's ever dropped.
Group was 65 RNG, 65 ENC, 65 CLR and 65 WAR.
65 RNG 500 AA - VT geared 5k HP unbuffed used 2 hander to avoid pulling aggro.
65 WAR max AA - EP geared 7k HP unbuffed, used pet proc weapon and 20/17 wep with 150DD proc.
65 ENC 120 AA - FT6 in mostly in Ornate PoP gear with some Velious stuff and I put on detrimental focus.
65 CLR 350AA - Max FT, Ornate PoP geared with Aid Grimel earrings, Halls of TEsting quest gear and some VT rot loot.
ENC would pacify Lcea's guards and pull her to ZI where RNG, CLR and WAR were waiting. WAR and RNG were fully debuffed.
During the pull, Katta takes some crazy pathing. I used this to my advantage to cast slow/cripple/tash on her so she'd arrive in camp fully debuffed.
ENC would then zone out, letting Katta stand in position for awhile and then slowly walk back to her castle. During this time the ENC would zoneback, call and buff pet.
WAR would then tag Katta (she was usually near the entrance to her castle at this time) and run back to the corner by the ZI. I popped evasive just before she hit, attacked with RNG and sent in the chanter pet. Do not use charmed pets here. Nearly all the guards respawn every 30 min or so and you will lose your pet.
To deal with the unresistable charm, I followed the same strat that "manaburn" posted below, with one exception: I let the RNG take the hit while my WAR was charmed instead of the pet. I found out that if the chanter pet got charmed, I usually could not regain control of it and invis wouldn't kill it. I used the pet as DPS and as a very last line of defense against cleric summon if both tanks got charmed.
This strat worked really well. I used pillage enchantment and recant magic so I always had a dispell gem hot. With casting haste focus, they cast in 1.6 sec and 2.1 sec.
I also had a Nullify Magic loaded on the Cleric. When the ENC was reslowing and crippling, I would use the cleric to spam the MT with dispell, just in case he got hit while the ENC (my primary dispeller) was casting debuffs.
The biggest killer on this is when Lcea procs multiple charms in a row. If you aren't quick on dispelling the tanks, she can get both tanks and the pet in 4 or 5 seconds on lucky procs. Once she has all tanks, she will summon the cleric and it's game over.
Keep the tanks constantly dispelled and it's a sure win, but a long fight. About 45 minutes each time using elemental DPS weapons on the tanks.
Mana was never an issue but did dip down a bit on the CLR when the RNG had to tank for longer periods due to back to back charms.

Easily solo'd as a 75 shm with a merc tank...didn't even need the merc.

Actually I used to 2-box her often with a monk/shaman combo. She wasn't hard, just a very long fight. I haven't attempted since I entered anguish, so my fight time should be significantly shorter now. As a lvl 70 monk that was around 9.5khp/1.8kac the fight took between 30-40mins. I was attempting to get the mask for a twink, but never saw it. Did get quite a few of the staffs, one belt, and one necklace though.
This fight is all about strategy, especially with such low numbers. Actually I'd go as far as to say that I'd rather go with 2 people than a large group. Though she hits for 800max, her melee is fairly negligable. A hot or occasion quick heal was all the monk needed.
Now for the strategy: her charm is unresistable. Sometime i would go minutes without seeing it, other times she would proc it every few seconds. I had shammy setup next to a pillar in the southeast corner (opposite the guards and lcea). Monk would first strip all buffs (needed to dispell charm acurately), then paci the guards (or kill em, they're very green) and pull lcea to the corner, shammy keeping just a bit of distance. I'd sick pet on her and get her slowed asap. The pet is vital to this method. I setup an audio trigger to tell me when the monk was charmed. The pet would take the hits while monk was charmed. As soon as that fired the shammy would cast annul magic to strip off the charm. If you are using hot to keep up the hp, you need annul or better to strip 2 buffs, otherwise, the lower ranks of dispell work just fine also. I usually went with annul and nullify as they are fairly quick and keeping 2 dispells up allowed for one to be ready when the other was down. More or less, just kept her slowed and crippled and dispelled and healed the monk when needed. This isn't a flawless method by any means, but it worked fairly well for me. Sadly though, I got tired of the long fight before my twink could see the mask.
She is a 60 bard and procs charm witch can be easely dispelled she sure can be duoed by slower and tank (shammy)
has 500k hp so its a long fight if ur duoing try to kill guards first who have a ton of hp too i think 200-250k
she hits 800 but fuilly slowable so if u can tank bot mobs u can tank this one :) GL

Was a flawless fight until she crossed 30%. Me and the ench charmed each of her guards and dru DC'd a wolf ...tank was only charmed a few times and even then it only lasted a few seconds. I would tank while she let it get dispelled. She hit in the 800's btw. FYI.
When she crossed 30% it all changed...she started charming like madness...charming half of us in a matter of seconds. Cleric was charmed...started CH'n lcea..pally was mowing the rest of us down lol. Was crazy. Anyways we managed to hold our ground til she hit 7% and the zone died....for about 1 min we all lagged completly out and thought we were LDing. Came back and it had went to sh*t...she regened some health and raped us. Goin in for attempt 2.
Ok rezzed up and tried again...this time with a boxed 70 wiz and the knowledge that keeping her walled helps to slow the amount of procs shegets off for some odd reason. So if ya want to do this mob get a high aggro set of tanks to keep her in the wall and you will do fine.
Dropped the necklace belt and orb.

tried to duo box her with rng shm both lvl 70 time geared, got her to 69% before the charmed ranger and Lcea herself pwnd my shm.
last time we did it with 5 witch was really easy

That would work if she mezzed people, but she CHARMS people. DoTs don't break charm so this wouldn't work. I've killed her about 5 times. Best way to do it just have a bard and two tanks in a group unbuffed with the bard constantly playing group dispell song.

Went in with 17 person raid. Most the tanks were totally unbuffed. Had one person on debuffing charm on tanks. SA was 65 Pal who chain casted stun the whole fight. I was playing my 64 necro and twiched him thru almost the whole fight. Around 10pct she got a few charms off and I switched to nukes until tanks got debuffed. Fight took about 15 min. If she has only 500k hps then she regens like crazy I would guess more like 100k hps. Dropped Amulet, Orb, and Peace Staff which I won by default.

Summons and immune to run speed changes. She also procs a charm which will charm your pet, even tho they aren't suppose to be charmable.
Took a while to work out how to get pets back under control and the fight seems to be buggy in a few areas.

Ok guys, this girl can be stuned right? So im thinking a BL could solo this with the right buffs(C3/Po9/Fo7/Kazaad) and the warder with mucho dex buffs for extra stun. Ima try this soon and get back to you, cuz if its soloable i would love to camp a twink right on her, kill her and get that mask on a lvl 1 war /drool

We dropped this pretty lady last night. She dropped A Glowing Orb of Luclinite, Katta Staff of Peace 2x. We got her on the second try after a revision in our tactics. Best strategy is to get her in the corner, but watch for guard spawns. It was a long fight, but the Horde was victorious!

I believe it varies from 2-3 days. Once we killed her on sunday, and she popped on tuesday, and again we killed her on sunday and she was up on wednesday. /sigh

This is how we did it our 3'rd try...Didnt bother buffing. Just had the Casters get kei, Sent in MA's unbuffed and had them alternate argo with Defence disc. Bard was constantly dispelling charm on MA and any1 else it hit. Fight took a very long 29 mins, and Had to hot rez a couple times =)
She Flurries often, charms frequently and is easy once slowed and you got the charm taken care of =)
She dropped the Orb and 2 Necklaces, Anyone know her spawn time?!?!

we dropped her last night with 15 or 16 people avg raid level of 62. Charms, long fight, pretty easy. Junk buffs for first few spots, dispell the charm. We had her in the corner so the rogues were useless. Otherwise, the loot is great, especiall the mask and i can't wait to get one!

She charms very frequently, not just once, and its usually the MT or someone else high on the hate list, i.e. a warrior or hybrid.

The druid/shaman/warrior were team hydra 1.
The paladin (MT) and 57 mage were also hydra'd.
No deaths, took around 25 mins to take her.
Not one of us died.
Saying that, she's killed us on a 3 group raid before now /shrug, maybe we caught her at the right time.

We killed her last night. We started with 1 group of well equipped level 65's <Sanctus Arcanum> and we wiped with her at 77%. Tried again with 2 groups and wiped at 44%. A third try with 3 grps and we killed her with only 1 death on our side. I think after learning all we did, the origibal 1 group could do it, but it would not be easy and the strategy must be perfect. Here is what you need:
1. Totally unbuffed MA being contantly chain cast with dispell by designated primary dispell caster. She procs an unresistable charm on whoever she is attacking. Its death on a stick for your group if you dont deal with it.
2. MA MUST hold the aggro and be the only victim of the charm proc.
3. All others must have the empty low buff slot for the charm to land and be dispelled. You wont get charmed if you dont have aggro, so dont get aggro. Watch for "LD" added to your group members names, this means they are charmed and need dispell ASAP.
4. Second designated dispeller will handle anyone bu the MA getting charmed. Third designated dispeller will handle the second designated diapeller getting charmed. Everyone who can dispell must have it up, just in case.
5. Get your MA healing plan worked out. Its a long fite, she has a billion hitpoints, and you mustnt waste mana. On our 3rd try we had a 4 cleric CH rotaion. This was way way more than was needed.
6. Depending on where you fite, be prepared for adds. We fought in the hall outside her room and had 2-3 roamers during each fight.
Thats about it. Handling the charm proc is the key to success.

This mob is not a bard, she is a warrior type.
Hits for 830 damage per hit or so, does not flurry, procs dictate , unresistable charm.
Sees invisible, summons, high sv magic pre-tashan.
Maybe she was patched, but she charmed right off the bat when I fought her. Seems to proc her charm about once every 2-3 rounds.

Maybe she was patched, but she charmed right off the bat when I fought her. Seems to proc her charm about once every 2-3 rounds.

I hear its 60 hours (2 1/2 days) so that other time zones get a shot at her.

took her down today with 19 ppl, avg lvl 61. long fight, clerics & nukers basicly became oom when she died. I was mt, didnt get charmed til about 1 minute into whacking her. She loves to charm, cant emphasize that enough. Low level dispell works great, and try to keep yer dispellers limited to just a few, 5 minutes into raid they kept stripping me of buffs and was fighting unbuffed. Not so tough, likes to hit for 200 400 ish but every now and then slaps ya with a 800 or so. Long fight, dot's went in at about 70% and people were applying them as many as 3 or 4 times. Nuking began at 15% and she went down. 2 staff things, orb or luclinite. No mask /bird

just was wondring is she a weekly spawn or in a few days .. ??
Took her out with guild tonight . 16 people only , 1 cleric 3 CHealing druids , 2 shamans ( 65 ) and enchanter 65. and more melee. Took about 20 minutes , damn she's got plenty hp. nonetheless great fun :) staff and belt dropped. Staff went to the mage as for being the only int caster there , except 65 ench . Belt went to a paladin.... not to bad. Dropped VT key bit also.]

This is a real easy fight, basically just long and lots of dispelling. Basically just keep a fake up in your first slot during buffs then click it off so your first slot is open where charm takes its place then either type out that your charmed or the dispellers will notice it. You want the MA in the corner so her back is facing everyone else, ate a riposte and got charmed. It would be nice to just have one or two dispellers cause if you get more you end up getting your beneficial spells debuffed so you may want to have fakes in our 2nd, 3rd and 4th slots also. From then on it's basically just a long easy fight, seems to damn easy for that mask that drops, great reward for such an easy encounter. Most the casters didn't want to give up their epic for the 2hander heh but the stats look real nice but if you figure in long term goals 2handed stuff seems sort of out of it considering there's more 75-100mana/hp caster one handers coming in the future for our guild. The belt is pretty nice too though.

For Lcea katta you need between 18-24 people. she has like 500khp or something. i dunno what it was but with 21 people the fight took over 20 minutes. anyways...
zone in from TM and have all kos people and invis. Lcea is in a church thingy, before her room there is 2 rooms, go into the room on the left and thats the buff/fight room.

What i did here is have the bard keep mana song upand have 2 druids cast circle of summer and winter on everyone. this just makes things go faster as you need to have some slots open to dispell the charm. after the druid buffs are done to all the other buffs(only need GRM for resists) and get FM drop the 2 druid buffs.
Pulling/fighting:
Pull all the guards in to that room. they are like lvl 55 and go down fast, have a monk pull of course. What we did is have the MT(me) stand outside the room when he pulled her and i just whacked her as she went by and pulleed her inside the room. right when she came in i had the ST start working on her also.(this is 2nd attempt btw) chances are MT will get charmed fast. i would have one person in charge of dispelling everyone, always get th MT first. we used some recant magic spell but i would use omething lower level, i was totally unbuffed by the time she hit like 80percent. as for healing i would just have 2 clerics on MT and 1 on ST, only reason is because it can get kinda rough with the charms. once she is slowed its cake. her resists arent that bad, the wizard had both fire and cold land well. now all you have to do is keep her slowed and get people uncharmed asap. long ass fight ahead of ya. our shaman was so busy dotting her forgot to reslow. would have been a flawless victory except for that, nearly wiped us, i managed to get rezzed back in and only like 8 people were still alive, luckily all3 clerics so i get aggro back and we managed to kill her.
anyways really the only info you need is to have dispell handy, you could have 60 people and easily wipe on this. once you get started its easy, its just before slow it means more chances for charm. the buffing technique just speeds stuff up. she dropped 2 katta peace staffs and the VT key thingy. fun fight going to try to farm her for belt and maybe a mask

You would need an extremely wonderful mod rod eatting group to do this with 1 group :) .
She either has been changed, or the 35 people (15 were 60+) went down at 55.

If you chain dispell your MA it will make no difference for one simple fact:
When a PC is charmed, ALL of their aggro is whiped off of the NPC aggro list.

Bard - so forget mana drain. Infinite mana.
Massive Regen, Massive AC. 10 Min fight min.
Drops nice stuff. Used to be a grp job a long time ago, but now you will need three good grps.

You can't dire charm a mob over level 45 so you certainly wont be charming her.

I found her on first floor of building 2 on eqatlas, I was with 2 guildies there for rallic bag when i heard her : you will not evade me ...., so i run upstairs and between 30 and 35 peeps midle 50ies was there trying to kill her . She must hit hard as i watched the fight from when she was around 30 left till she died ; her hp bar went down very slowly even with 10 guys kicking her constantly , saw her kill 1 ranger in 1 blow =)
Im not high enough to go on this kind of event but i think 2 or even 3 groups would be mashed very very quickly

The mask dropped last week, so it still drops.
She does not AE fear.
She does hit for 835 and procs a low resist charm.
She is not very MR herself, all spells will hit eventually.
I don't want to guess how many HPS she has but its a lot.
It's a fun fight

Has anyone ever thought of droping a group of necro/cleric , necro using lvl 49 pet and cleric ching the main pet just have a nec drop a massive dot on the mob then back away and let lvl 49 pet (wich imho is the best pet you can get for this type of thing until your spec pet) and yes i said lvl 49 pet is the best for this , it has more hps then the other pets and its a warrior class not rogue or monk likt most others but wouldnt it be simple that way , if the clerics run outa mana then have a necro use a mana rejuv on her/him, seems easy to me , yes the charms could be a prob but thats what mr gear is for

She has um a lot of hp. Takes 25-30 people a good 20 mins to take her down. Yes, I do have dots on her constainly. She usually has so many on her from all the shamen/druids/necros that she hits the buff limit. Also, the 49 pet has approx 2khp. She hits for 835. Without slow ur pet is gone in one volley. Her charm proc is very low resist, tanks with 250+mr getting charmed constaintly during the fight. She also summons of course, which means the second you outdamage the pets you are dead. Maybe 15 or 20 necro/mages could kill her by chaining pets, but I doubt it. Not to mention you only have 20 mins to kill her once the guards die cuz they will repop and without chanter support, they are not fun (screaming terror works on some of them, but not all). Well basically I wouldnt bother =)

Killed this chick with 1 grp and an outside mage, me being the outside mage. We had 1 monk, 2 60 warriors, 1 60 cleric, 1 60 shaman, and a 60 bard. Quite a simple fight, just have warriors with def disk, and shaman's slowing. Im not one to talk strategy, but i did know it happened and i do know i currently have the katta staff of peice :) Well anyways, pull lcea to the back of the church like area so you dont get the 2 guards to pop on you, but you have to kill them first. Then while you are killing have mage DS the MA, and have the cleric CH'ing the MA. Mage should be summoning 3x Mod rods, 60 bard is playing AE Mana song. NO PETS IN THIS BATTLE SHE FEARS. Thats about all i can tell you off the top of my head its been a month since i killed her heh.

SO...... One question... If its the "Staff of 'Peace'".... Why do we have to kill her to get it. Isnt there a peaceful way to quest for it? Can we "so called" good races keep the peace and trade her something for it? Would that make sense? Maybe thats just me....

we used to farm her for her mask which was 40ac +100hp, yes killing her with 2 groups was fine when she conned red now they made her stronger and it takes twice the force... we have yet to see a mask from her in the last 2 months we killed her pre and post nerf
She's not the fun 2 group 15 minute kill anymore. She's badarse. Be careful if you used to farm her for the common yet awsome belt she drops. My guild went in with a couple groups to drop her and, well, she dropped us. Big time.
She's still only level 60 but hits for 800+ and mezes a lot more and for 2+ minutes at a time and charms. Man were we suprised when two of our main tanks ran over and waxed one of our clerics.
Hope she had her loot table upgraded. Otherwise I don't feel her drops are in line with the type of encounter she is now.

you are correct sir. She maxes at 835 now (compared to 590 or so from before) and she can charm multiple people at a time now. good luck :)

How can i rais faction with these katta people? especiall the special guys. I went on a rade and we murdered Lcea and i went from indiff to everyone to ready to attack on the named special guys. Any info is great on what faction losses Lcea gives when you kill her or any info how to get faction back up, thanks.
