I have had my 85 monk down here for almost days now. I was just trying for the anklesmasher for fun but now its personal. I dont sit at the pc the whole time i just come in every 26 min er so and kill the ph or named. I have seriously killed probably 50 sumthin Loremasters , 50 phers ect, and maybe 8 grand librarian guys still no hammer ha. I wont give up, never, but i feel really bad for peeps who camp this and have to physically be at the computer the whole time due to no Fd ect.

I had a friend who needed the anklesmasher (the only snare weapon for pally), so we decided we would camp him. He does pop next to the second locked door. He and place holder pops every 26 minutes. It took eight hours and seven named to pop before he finally gave it to me.
Some other paladin-usable snare-proccing weapons include:
"Tserrina's Whip"
"Sargasso Spear"
The "quality" of the snare of Anklesmasher is better than that of each of the weapons above, in that Anklesmasher will stop the mob from moving away if it turns to run at 20% health or lower, while the other two will not fully stop the mob from moving away if it runs, until it reaches some specific health percentage lower than 20%.
Still, those are some alternatives to try to get in the mean time, if an Anklesmasher is proving to be hard-to-get for somebody.

Killed today on Stromm server and dropped Jagged blade of mourning.

spawns just to the left of the 2nd locked door just before you get to king/queen safe hall. you don't need to go through the 2nd locked door. loc is n819 p974 or close to that. Killed loremaster as 65 monk with Jman merc on the 51/50 server. camp break was easy, 3 or 4 mobs at once. I created a DE rogue to pick the locks (I killed Ratraz in neriak by rogue start point and sold his club for 5p to buy my lockpicks). killed 1 ph then named spawned with anklesmasher. I felt lucky =)

Right now I still use my silken whip of ensnaring as my proc snare weapon. Is there any better item other than the anklesmasher that I might want? Or is the Anklesmasher the best proc snare weapon/item pls?

Camping him for a possible Anklesmasher, because I don't want to pay the outrageous prices in the bazaar. However, be prepared for a LONG camp. I've logged over 24 hours now, killing the named and PH every 26 minutes while I'm on. I'm usually there for over 8 hours at a time so far, and no Anklesmasher.
The named seems to be between 1-3 and 1-2 for spawn ratio versus PH. However, the anklesmasher is stupid rare. I've seen the Loremaster at least 25 times now, gotten ALOT of BP's and rapiers, not a single anklesmasher.
Any person looking to do this camp, I wish you luck, I'm so tired of this place I'm about to just say the heck with it and move on, but having invested this much time I would really like to have something to show for it. This is a LOOOOONNNNG camp.

Agreed. Over 60 hours logged here in 4 weeks time. No Anklesmasher. It's to the point of idiotic lunacy on my part to keep trying...

Went there Today with Beastlord,Rogue Shadowknight and Myself ( Druid) all lvl 65.
Mobs where Piece of Cake, but the Loremaster was not there.
Next Time i gonna get him.
By the Way. Loot was abaou 4k pp after i sold the Items, plus some nice Twink Gear ;)

What is this guys loc or does anyone know of a map that shows his spawn point?
LOC is neg 812, pos 987, neg 217. Lower level of the library. Facing the door that leads to king/queen, he spawns on the left-hand side.

Also soloable by a bard. You need to be at least dub faction and have FM. Keep hard on the back wall to minimise adds. If you in troble, invis and FM. you only need to charm burn 3 guards then tank it with the last one.

As a 65 Non-KOS Necro, I could not break this room by myself. The assist range is too large. I had my friends help me break it and it wasn't too bad keeping it clear using pet tanking. Every mob I fought summoned so it's important to keep aggro on your pet.
When we got there, the Grand Lorekeeper was up so we nailed him as we were breaking the room. My friends left, and I held the bottom floor until the next set of pops, in which Loremaster Piza`tak spawned and he dropped the History of Di Zok. The whole thing only took about an hour.
I know enchanters can solo down there by charming, but for a necro I don't think it's possible.

Okay From all the locs and advise I have read about this guy he is in the room right before the queen. (Correct me if I am wrong) Which to get there u have to go through a locked door. Where do you get the key to get to him? Is it dropped off random mobs? Is there a key? Or do you have to have a rogue pick the lock? For the people that actually post useful information thank you in advance. =)

- I collected data as I camped this place (solo, mind you). The following is the order in which named mobs popped from the spawn point not including PHs (Nameds occured about 1 in 3 spawns)
-an apprentice lorekeeper is the Placeholder for the spawn in question
-Both Loremaster Piza`tak and Grand Lorekeeper Kino Shai`Din can spawn at this spawn point, Grand Lorekeeper being the rarer of the two.
-Here is the order in which the nameds spawned and what they dropped. I hope this helps clarify everything about this camp, since I could find literally no information about this specific spawn point.

I think the name of the leggings you are referring to are the tanned iksar hide leggings. Looked all over for skinned iksar leggings, and they don't seem to exist :-)

- I've killed him 3 times so far, he always drops [The History of Greenmist] and an addition item. So far he has dropped [History of the Di`zok], [Nathsar Breastplate], and [Intricate Silver Rapier]. You can tell if he has rapier equipped, it looks like a Fine Steel Rapier.

When he has the Rapier it shows like it is equipped... just killed him twice and he has a rapier in hand and droppped it both times.

When he has Anklesmasher in hand, he'll wield it too.. It'll look like a Giant wooden Mallet in his right hand

Where is this guy located at and who should I bring with me?
This guy is way higher than 52. Our king raid killed him 4 days ago(again), he conned yellow at 56. Not mezzable too. He seems to drop Nathsar BP and the quest book every time.

Dropped Nathsar BP twice on our way to King. Very nice item. Seems like it's 18 AC, 6 wis, and some other stats I can't remember.
