great pets

these guys make awesome pets for a druid. i would charm them with allure of the wild and i could actually clear most of the shadow island with one buffed turtle. these guys were blue to me too.

i rampaged through the elementals with a turtle, and he even took down the nameds pretty fast- often so fast i couldnt cast my 10 sec delayed dot from my elder spiritist arms.

great for xping or just farming.
these mugs are hard

To Get Named Turtles

After leveling with these guys I found, that you kill them off, then you get a named one that drops items for the twilight Armour quest.

Best way is to snare 3 or four of them pull to the Element island use lighting strike. With a 48 Druid this was easy after you work out your system.

They do drop a very rare shell but haven't found what they may be for. If anyone has an idea please
post.

These guys exist in a small area of the sea, between Elemental Island and the zone to Scarlet Desert. They are social, so you will want to pull them away from their wandering area, to avoid any others coming to their defense.

I've also noticed they always flee to the east (when on low health), so if you camp them from the shore near the Scarlet zone, they will flee towards their siblings, resulting in a pack of nasty turtles after your ***. I'd advise you set up camp on the western shore of Elemental Island, and pull them up there; that way they will flee east over the island.

These guys are not too bad. They are not huge either like Lodizal. These guys are "elf" sized turtles that can be snared and rooted. They are also animals and are prone to animal spells like fear. And yes, they do come on land.

I tried one the other night and like someone else mentioned, another was on me faster than I could say "root". I was able to snare and scare them both to death though. No loot on either.

Anyone loot anything off these, or the named turtles. I would love to see a mini Lodizal sheild. Hehe.

These conned indifferent and blue to my 46 druid. There were a lot on track in the south west part of zone. I tried one, and another one came out of nowhere to his defense. They hit for 90 and I swam as fast as I could and got out of the water to run to zone. I don't think it followed me out of the water. The one I snared I never saw again. Guess it's back to the no looting dropping stuff in Scarlet Desert.

I've fought tons of them while doing my armour quests and there were some blue to me at 53.

Also, I've had two shells drop. Due to the uber-rareness of these there just *HAS* to be a reason for them

Some may be level 30 but I was in Twilight yesterday and about half the turtles conned blue to my 51 druid.
