I think they took all the elementals out of the zone. Too bad, they made the zone interesting.

Can anyone confirm that this is gone?
Mob Graveyard for this one. All of the elemental types were removed during the zone revamp that took place early 2003.

Can anyone give me any updated Info on this mob? been tryin to find him in SG past few days, havent even seen any other elementals such as Icy/Watery Servants, just bulthorks ulthroks and what not. Does he spawn around that castle with the bridges ??? any help would be great please :) thanks alot

Not sure he still spawns with the Sg revamp ;at least zone is desert all the time now , especially in the sirens zone , as you can't solo there as easily as before .
Have not seen this mob for 2 weeks camping Siren Grotto anymore. There seems to be lacking of Elemental Place Holder for Shimmering. Mob may have been revamp and taken out? ! ?. :--(.

Owned this bish 5:28AM ez kill dropped Wavecrasher got back to PoK and gave to a level 4 ogre warrior wandering around trying to find freeport stone gratz bud hope it comes in handy in your levels to come now before people start to call me a moron for just giving it away i realize the value of the weapon but for such a ez mob i figured it wasnt a loss besides being remembered as a nice person is better then being known as a greedy ass SOB in the end http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=710555

soloing kith is one thing, maby some seriously geared ep/time/god players could ( i just dont know ). but as for soloing lodi with a ranger, thats VERY possible, lodi is really quite easy. does not summon ( that i know of ) because ive had druids agro kite him with my rogue as a pet. eq/3 level 65 ranger would take out lodi in a matter of minutes. probly under 5. you can shoot when running, lodi would never catch you, and he doesnt regen fast. not sure how much hps lodi has, im guessing around 20k, but lets just say he has 32k. it would take a 65 eq/3 ( average ranger ) 160 seconds to take out 32k hps , assuming he is doing 200 or so dps with his bow ( which they do ) now factor in his regen and maby notch it up to 200 seconds, thats still barely over 3 minutes of running around, plugin arrows into him. and thats IF he had that much hps, doubt he does. think of him as just a really big meele warrior, has no ranged attack, no spells, no super regen, just a high damage attack 1o0-30o , and a ton of hp's.
as for him giving this weapon to a lowbie, maby he did, maby he didnt, maby hes a nice person ( most ppl on eq are not, sadly ) and maby he just wants you to vote excellent on his posting score. i personaly would just leave it at defult.

Genral in kith is a total wuss by today's standards. He has 32k hp, which is less than many exp mobs, only hits for like 300-500ish, again less than many exp mobs, and has a nasty proc, but with good MR it can be partially/fully resisted.
your generosity is commended sir, but I would have given it to a level 30 or so. At least a level 30 player has spent a bit of time developing their character and is probably committed to leveling further. Whereas many under level 10 are merely tinkering to find the best class for them.

Aye giving it to a level 30 who is planning on going further in the game would be nice but i also remember what it was like when i was new and no one was around to give me things ive worked my ass off for everything i have/willget ive gave over 200k worth of items away and over 50kpp away i play the game not to be greedy but to just have fun ive experienced almost everything there is to experience what more is there? http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=710555

these camps are extreamly easy with a slower - solo all 9 in the castle solo with my 65sk / 65shm hydra -- killed him about 15 times got 8wc's 6dotb's and only 1 sheild ~

Killed one of these this morning, was blue to 55., and was hitting as hard as the level 53 Icy Servant.
Btw, (unscientific sample):
5 Kills: 2 Wavecrasher, 2 Drums, 1 Shield
and so on...

The question on every druid's lips, does he summon?
If you cant find Happiness, I bet you got stoned and forgot where you left it.
If he's like the other water elementals in SG, he does not summon. However, icy/watery servants are also immune to movement spells -- they can neither be rooted nor snared. They rampage, too.
as a druid i often kill icy/watery servants solo. while they cannot be rooted or snared the animals in this zone make excellent pets for dire charm due to the large number of hp they have, id estimate 10-14K. You may have to kill a few of the land mamals to get one that is low enough for Dire Charm to pop but once you do just savage spirit , dc and play pet cleric, kills arent fast this way but can be done spending little mana. Even after the changes in aggro with charm they hold aggro quite well. i would reccomend bringing friends with you even though this is doable solo as it gets boring fast alone ;)

killed him 4 times, got 2 wavecrashers and 2 drums of the beast. What sucks is getting people down here, every time I ask I get snotty remarks like 'I wanna get get xp' or maybe 'thats not pop, I only want pop xp'.
He also drop the Shield of Tsunami. Kind of hard pull, due to his friends are around him. Once we got him slow though, we owned him. Goodluck to those that look for him.. I spent almost 9 months in SG and only seen him 3 or 4 times... but not looking for him. We got lucky that time when the druid informed us that he got a mob on track that he have not seen before.

I didn't realize this was visable when wielded.
We hit the sirens in SG a lot for BP gems. Have to give him a try if we see him.

If you only kill the top 3 in the castle he is pretty rare, for maximum pop rate you need to cross the other 2 bridges and clear the other Icy and Watery servants down below, there is multiple rooms and 3 icy servants in a room can be nasty...i recomend multiple groups to clear the castle and the servant rooms below and you will see him more often..a mage for Coth pulling is very handy, we have great success using this method..

I saw this up tonight and found it in the castle area, luckily it was one of the closest spawns to the drawbridge where I solo. It didnt hold a sword but i figured what the hell, I'll try to solo it. It was single pullable at 60 out of the castle but some sirens and servants were standing right next to it so I can only assume they don't assist the shimmering guy. Pulled it to the bridge and soloed it. I lost the first time and had to flee because of poor strategy. Apparently this guy is immune to disease and poison or so close to immune it makes no difference. With malosini and insidious decay i was still unable to land any disease DoT on him. However shaman epic landed every time and slow and cripple worked without a problem. He procs a DD not an AoE and a pitifully small one at that. 50 hp or so max. Using the shaman epic and my pet it went down easily and never casted or tried to gate. Unfortunately it dropped a pos shad-pal shield stats were AC 26 Hp 65 called the Shield of Tsunami. Looks like a Lodi shield equipped so kind of cool but the stats are feeble. Barely an upgrade to a clay guard shield. Still was fun to kill this pos solo. He is WAY easier than the AoE casting servants although he is a higher level.

Was in SG with one group, hunting the top floor of the castle (one with the level 63 pasty). Was there for about 5 hours killing everything in the room, but no shimmering pop. I assume that Iceys, and Waterys are the PH, and there are 3 in the top floor.
Is this the best are to find him? And how rare is this fewl? Have hunted there quite a few times, adding up to probably 10 solid hours, and he hasent shown his face. Begining to wonder if he still spawns /chuckle

BTW he also drops a pally sk shield like 23ac 45 mana i think. <fyi>

Have found him all over SG, Common loot apears to be Wavecrasher. do-able with 1 group, Rampages but not hard enuf to worry and has a small AE.
