Soloing them with Spook the Dead
# Mar 08 2004 at 3:49 AM Rating: Decent
1) pull one of them with a spell or arrow. (facing inside of the pyramid)
2) Run left, inside the next building. Then left, next to the far wall.
3) Wait for the mob to enter and get near you.
4) Cast Spook the Dead
5) Position yourself between the doorway and the mob
6) beat them senseless
7) repeat fear every now and then

A good way to train your all attack skills up to a decent point, dont forget Piercing and Hand to Hand. Drop your healing spells, you won't be needing them.

Good luck on your next 15 levels :)

This is a great camp for lv 34+ druids. Snare and DoT stack and Kite. Root doesn't hold for long, but long enough for a quick med. One of the Skellies will take most of the manabar for a lvl 36 druid, but they will go down fairly easily.

There are no wandering Mobs away from the Pyramids area, so just med to full on the grassy area.

Lvl 36 gets about 3/4 to 1 full blue bubble per mob. Nice.
Pulling
# Jul 14 2003 at 12:41 PM Rating: Decent
Pulled them today with resist debuff and slow, no aggro from the other skeletons that were standing right next to the one I was targeting.
level change
# Feb 28 2003 at 6:21 AM Rating: Decent
I have just started hunting here at level 39 and only a very few are blue cons, most are yellow (about half) and then mainly white. Only about 10% are dark blue

Opps, sorry about double post, first didn't seem to go.

Level change?
# Feb 28 2003 at 6:17 AM Rating: Decent
Not sure if these have been changed in a recent patch. I have just started hunting here at level 39 and half of these are conning yellow to me, with most the rest white, there are few blue cons

Easy, easy kills for a Necro at these levels, for good XP and some reasonable money. Just stand outside the entrance to the pyramid (directly outside so they don't warp right onto you when you pull), cast Sense The Dead to target a thief, pull with Dooming Darkness, send your Augmented pet when the thief walks out, Panic The Dead to send it running, then Asystole and sit to med. The skelly will die around the time the fear runs out, so there's minimal damage to the pet and only the occasional resist (though when they do resist they often resist multiple times). Don't even loot the corpse until a big pile has accumulated and you've run out of victims, so you can be killing constantly, pulling the next one when your pet gets back to you.

Since you're not lifetapping you can't use the normal hp->mana spells, so get a KEI in the Nexus, take the portal down, make the short run to the camp and get killing. I managed to go from one yellow into 46 to one yellow into 48 in about six and a half hours and should hit 49 here tonight.

This is also a very good spot for lvl 46-49 paladins. Get KEI, buff up with Daring, Armor, Symbol, Instrument of Nife and Divine Might and have at it. I found a GREAT spell to have ready is the lvl 45 Etherial Cleansing spell which heals 400+ hps for only 150 mana. Its MUCH better than Greater Heal. Once I got 1 bubble of hps damage to me, I cast EC and continued wacking away. Got about 2 yellow in about 2 hours of fighting yesterday taking me up to 48. Once I dinged, I got a little over 1/2 bubble of xps in about 45 minutes.

These guys are pushovers.

These give experiance at 52, good camp for a cleric and a tank. Mid 40s can easily do them. Rarely camped for some reason.

No honor among thieves
# Mar 04 2002 at 1:31 AM Rating: Good
As a 48 warrior, these are still blue to me. The strange thing is that I can pull singles from out of a group standing right together by using arrows. Only the one I hit will aggro.

These mobs, similar to some other undead mobs (e.g., spectral keepers in Trakanon's Teeth, the skellies in the ruins to the north of the FV tunnel in Dreadlands) are NOT social. They don't care that their buddy is getting beat on. They will aggro to YOU, however, so just stay back and pull with arrows or snare or whatever.

I kill these guys often, and they occasionally drop research notes - part 6. They are lore and I have no idea what they are for. I tried looking everywhere I can think of on the site, but have found nothing. Any ideas?

My guild raided Kaesora a couple nights ago, and mobs in the library dropped research notes 2 & 3. no clue about the other 3
Runners
# Jan 28 2002 at 9:37 AM Rating: Default
About four or five of these guys spawn in the pyramid next to the mountain that juts up near the Combine outpost. They spawn in pairs and walk a loop inside the pyramid, often in groups. They can also get stuck on the sides of the pyramid. They can be FD pulled if you know what you’re doing. Also the little buggers will run when low on health.

Clerics and Pallys can also soothe/pacify/calm these without any problems. Pulled singly all evening. Assumedly, these can also be single pulled with a rangers Harmony.
