he is pretty easy kill, as long as your used to trogs. My 26 mage could solo him, as long as nothing else aggroed. Has typical high hp and dmg. Plus, watch out for that aggro, i swear, the trogs seem to aggro worse than even the netherbians there. Umm, all trogs con dubious to my high elf and apparently also to the wood elves and gnomes, that makes it easier to piuck out good pulls there.
Oh yeah, for some reason, certain guards won't kill trogs, so don't rely on em. I say, if u get in trouble, run to DSP zone, its just about always safe at the zone ent and its really close to the trog tunnel points.

ive killed this guy twice. both times i got a soiled breechclout. Which i promply sold for 100pp. Not bad for a 5min side trip.

Found him hiding behind some rocks in one of the tunnels..conned yelow to me at 22...took him out with relative ease without using HT..im an sk btw
Well, for those of you hoping to dump this guy on the guards if he gets tough, forget it. I ran him past the guards and they ignored him. Apparently the guards there have some respect for his position as they were slaughtering other Trogs.
Also, he appears to have some kind of improved regeneration as I was having a very difficult time with him using the root/DoT method. My DoT was doing much less damage to him than I expected and once it wore off his hit points came back very quickly

He can spawn randomly throughout the Trog swection of the caverns. Just keep killin trog's and he will spawn eventually)

killed several times always has soiled breechcloth, AC8, wis3. shm,bst, all races, wt 3.0 ..
easy kill, think he's a random spawn, killed all trogs and he usually spawns on the second round of spawns with a couple of trog bulls.

I must have gotten lucky or something. Killed him once. Got the spear. Would like the legs for my 18 shammy though. Maybe I need to go kill him again.

Doesn't always drop the legs. Shammy friend and I just killed him 30 min ago and all he dropped was the Flint Warhammer (5/30 +2Wis +10Mana). Conned even to me at 23. Maybe the low ender doesn't have the best pieces of loot...

I've killed him once for fun, and he dropped a "Soiled Breechclout" (sp?) ac6 3wis IIRC...
