I highly doubt that this was for taloring. It's a CHAIN METAL ARMOR (no rent). When worn it looks like the Loda Kai armor, but it has stats. Arg, I lost it... I should have sold it so we can solve this mystery. I have the picture in my database, but Allakhazam wont accept it, I cant get it below 1k of memory.

The tailoring piece he was referring to is Xakra Kel, which is for tailoring Shaded Hopperhide armor. (Tattered Hopperhide armor + Xakra Kel + Claw Needle = Shaded Hopperhide armor.)

Xakra Dat, I believe, is for some kind of smithing for a similar type of Chain Armor.

Quest Mob
# Jan 16 2002 at 12:33 PM Rating: Default
This mob is more than likely a part of the continuation of the Whiperling quest, begun with Groo McMannus near the Shar Vahl zoneline. Takes you into Shar Vahl and back out to Shadeweaver's for Bloodling carapaces. Then more is mentioned about a Xacra shield... tryin' to get faction with the Shak Dratha and hail this one in Combine Tongue.

They do drop Shade silks. I just was wanting to know if anyone knew if they had a camp or something that I could camp? I see the the other brain dudes have a camp(More like half the zone).

these don't drop the silks, lesser shades, and the worms do.

Just to help clear up any confustion, Shadeling silks and Shade silks are the Luclin versions of spiderling silks and spider silks. The spiderling silks make chords and spider silks make swatches used to make silk armor. Same with the shadeling and shade. They won't cross combine (spidering and shadeling--spider and shade) so keep that in mind as well.

This mob will cast level 9 shaman spells. Expect to be slowed and dotted, with some little nukes thrown in for fun. Also expect it to heal any of its companions if they are around.

It's not a horrible fight, low level casters aren't too hard to kill. But best to be prepared :-P
