Rampages about every round. Prior to getting slowed, his DPS is about 1000hp/sec. After being slowed/crippled, he's much easier.

  • Respawn Timer: on the old world raid npc timer of 3 days +/- 12 hours.
  • Slowable: Yes

Rumblecrush can be done easy with the right people. One groupable for sure.

Did him with 4 people last time he popped (I boxxed 3 of them).

Group was:

70 warrior
70 enchanter (me)
70 cleric (me)
70 bard (me)

I pulled on bard to get myself on rampage, elixired tank (12k hp's at the time) and he engaged, slowed and crippled on enchanter and healed both tank and rampage on cleric. Took ~5 mins, only had to reslow once.

Prior to this, we tried with:

70 warrior
66 enchanter (me)
70 bard (me)
66 druid

With this group, we got Rumble to 6%, but our MT lagged out and he ate ramp, which lead to him dying and us wiping. But it is duoable.

Mainly you need a MT (warrior), a rampage tank, most will due (my bard had 9k and tanked ramp fine), a slower (enchanter preferred for cripple), and a healer (good druid or cleric can heal both fine).

"(enchanter preferred for cripple)" Shammy can also cripple FYI

Went to UP for a VP quest item and he was up so called in some friends. All EP geared, tank had 11k, and one grouped him. Not bragging, I was scared healing with me druid, and botting the tank, just saying he can be groupable with decent gear
Good Strategy

Ok, I have done this way a few times and so far no one has died. Should have 2 - 4groups to take this guy out, could be less if you have good gear.(But if you have good gear, why would you be taking out on this guy? :P)

Buff everyone at the tunnel zone in from Maiden's Eye.

Have at least 2 tanks, 2 clerics, 1 bard / ench, 2 shammies(only 1 shammy is needed if you have the ench).

Pulling:

Have a bard/ench invis up to RC then cast a tash on him, run back to the tunnel, avoiding adding mobs. RC will outrun his followers and have the puller zone.(unless bard has Fading Memories) RC should be alone soon as he hits tunnel.

Engaging:

Have the MT and Ramp tank engage RC soon as he gets to the tunnel, have MT taunt first, then again, then have ramp tank taunt. 1 cleric on the MT and other on the ramp tank. Shammy slow/cripple ASAP, after slow and cripple, Malos.

When RC is at 95%, have rest of raid force get behind him and start melee-ing him. Nukers, nuke him but not too much to overaggro the tank.

Soon as this guy is slowed and tank has good aggro, you are victorious. Cleric with 5k mana pool had > 20m when RC was dead.

Hope this helps.

Killed with 13...2 under 60.

Killed him tonight, tried the first time with:

65 Shammy
65 Warrior (MT)
65 Cleric
65 Mage
55 Beastlord
49 Ranger

65 Druid
65 Enchanter (CoD Pet)

Got him to 4% before Rampage killed us.
Rampage is huge ... I was the 49 ranger and was getting paged outside of bow range on a 190 range bow.

Next try added

65 Cleric
65 Bard
65 Beastlord
65 Ranger
65 Bard

He went down with no problem and everyone lived.

2 guys were 2 boxing
1 was 3 boxing.

Bard pulled.
Warrior tanked.
Shammy slowed
Beastlord ate rampage.

We win the worst loot ever.

Did him with 11.
61wiz
65rng
65pal (MT)
64 rog
65dru
65clr

65shm
65clr
65sk (rampage tank)
65rng
65mag

One of the rangers pulled him to zone as others suggested here, just aggro him and he'll out run his guards. Also make sure ya avoid adds cause the first time we got them and lost a few people.

At zone the ranger WS tanked him in a corner while the shaman was slowing and the paladin was building aggro.

I, a 65 cleric, ended up being the rampage target because somebody wasn't doing their job =p

Managed to drop a few CHs, a few splash heals on the MT before I finally missed my own heal when RC was at 20%.

Very easy fight once slowed, just.. yea having the rampage tank taunt is good.

**EDIT**
He dropped Belt of Scintillation and Tunic of Kinship.

"Also make sure ya avoid adds cause the first time we got them and lost a few people."

Yeah, I've fought him three times with about 15 people in the 50s and 60s. First time partial wipe due to adds and repeated slow resists, second try after rezzing he went down easily once single-pulled and slowed, third time he killed a few people due to slow resists, but once he was slowed again he went down easily... and my last lifetap killed him :).

Single-pulled and slowed I'm sure a level 70 group could handle him with few problems, at that point it's just a lot of hit points to get through.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 01 2004 at 8:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I was just looking at some Luclin zone. Trying to find some nice mobs for my 65 shamy/warrior to pick off. So, I take a look at this cool sounding mob. Level 66. not bad! I look at his loot drop. What the hell. If all this stuff was dropable you could not get 5k for the lot. shoulder with 15hp of level 66 mob. Why?

Killing him
# May 16 2004 at 12:31 AM Rating: Decent
Okay information to know about us and how we do this kill.. 8100 hp tank with all defensive done, rampage tank has 7521 hps. We usually have 3-5 clerics each time.

The best tactic to drop rumblecrush is this
Get a FD'er, or evac'er with hps to get them on him.. Run near the tunnel, where he will then FD or Evac. We then have a shadowknight grab his aggro and run around in circles. In the meantime we have our 65 enchanter and 64 shaman to slow him, once he's slowed they bring him in. Me and the MT engage, usually 2-4 clerics on MT and 1-2 on RT. Once I am on Rampage list good, and MT has aggro then we assist call, from there it's just dropping him.. Very easy kill..Pretty good loot to.

you sure you were kilign RC and not Ralos Zek? The way you discribe it makes me shiver.
The guy is ONE GROUPABLE. you need warrior, slower and a healer (1 druid can do the job) not 3-5 clerics jesus. And we talking NORMAL pre elemetal group
Pulling RC..
# Apr 05 2004 at 6:52 PM Rating: Good
Did this today with 7, pretty simple fight. Our makeup was 65 druid (me), 65 enc (also me), 65 cleric, 65 pal, 65 sk, and 62 shaman, and 65 ranger.

The trick to this is pulling with either enchanter or shaman, but enchanter is probably better. My enchanter is pretty much just a bot, so she doesn't have Extended Range 3 or 4, but I found that I could pull with Howl of Tash, and outrun RC with SoE to the point where I had him slowed before he even got to camp. He came to camp solo, as he outran his guards. But I seriously had easily enough time to slow him without ER 3 or 4 during the pull, and if you are smart, you won't trip over any gorangas. I didn't get touched. When he got to hallway, MT engaged, shaman slowed (saw my slow wear off), and I zoned.

Pretty easy fight all in all, though he had some lucky ramps and tapped my patch heal mana a bit faster than I expected. Thankfully the cleric was doing fine keeping up on MT.

I would say if you are patching his ramps then you should probably refrain from nuking and whatnot even if it seems like you aren't doing anything for awhile. Sometimes he'll get a few ramps in a row and really beat the crap out of your shaman, rng, monk, rog etc.

No deaths, but no orb :( Dropped Belt and Wicked Mail.
Just Slow

Just slow him.
Without slow he dishes out major dps.
Slowed he can be taken down ez.
Don't pull his guards though

Not Difficult
# Dec 01 2003 at 12:11 AM Rating: Default
We popped this guy about a week ago, he was easy. The raid was unplanned, someone just said "hey, wanna raid RC?" and we gathered about 14 people, average was 59 I believe. At first, 3 other guilds came together and tried to take him before us, so we let them have him and they wiped while he was at 95%, so we took over and killed him like nothing. Rampages a bit, but we had an SK tanking him easily. Dropped the Soft Satin Gloves, which went to a monk, and Tunic of Kinship, which went to me...a druid. All in all, not that difficult.

Well like usual i was killin radir and i was goin to pull spirit with my druid when i noticed RC had just spawned. I called a 65 pally friend who was in an elemental guild to help. He brought a 65 bard with him too(uber). First attempt things got very sloppy We had a 65 warrior 65 druid 62 shaman 65 cleric 59 monk 65 bard and 65 paladian. We got him o about 30% before we had to exodus. They called in their ranger friend for a lil more dps then we arranged pally to tank then bard to get rampage, worked beautifully although pally ended up dying at 0% health on Rumblecrush.
another suggested strat
# Sep 07 2003 at 3:40 AM Rating: Good
I know there's dozens of other strats posted here, some I've used in my encounters and adapted but here's my suggestions ...

First pulling him is easy as cake, as it was posted before aggro him and baby him to zone (stay in his aggro range, while he outruns his guards). Being an Enc I loved pulling him, smack him with tash and run like hell, makes for quick easy slow (you should zone as soon as he's slowed, to not be Rampage tank) ..

Once you've got him away from his guards, and still baby'ing him along, you can invis up and run him around the moktor's near zone out tunnel, thus having a shammy standing out there cast Mala (malise, whatever) and slow on him .. Tada hardest part of the fight is over ..

Have MT intercept him at end of the tunnel as the puller (or me suicidal enc) and shammy zone out ..

Once this is done fight is literally trivial for anything more then 2 groups of lvl 62+ .. 2 Cleric's can easily alternate CH's, while druid/shammy keep's up RT .. Fight doesn't take to long he doesnt have an incredible amount of HP ..

Wish you all GL with some of his drop's, I'm loving my robe. =)

Try to slow/cripple and set up your rampage tank on RC before engaging then the rest of the fight is pretty easy. The hardest part of the fight is when hes not slowed. Other then that you can heal a good MT with only one cleric. The bigger problem comes in healing the rampage tank. RC rampages a lot and it does a lot of damage, its so random that it makes it difficult to time a good CH on the rampage tank. If you have a second warrior as the rampage tank it will be easier with defensive. Most likely you will have another melee being the rampage tank then its better to keep patch healing him or get a good cleric with a 4-5k Supernal Light to heal him. Its very important to keep the rampage tank alive if he dies and other people start getting rampage at random they will be taking about as much damage as if they were being attacked by RC himself and you will probably fail.

We took him down today. Managed to throw a raid together in 30 min. Had 22 people in the raid, average lvl 60. Went down fairly easily with some awesome organization.

Trick we used was to only have one person engage him until one of our shaman got a slow to land. AFter slow landed MT engaged. After MT established aggro, all others engaged in the fight. A couple deaths, our puller was sacraficed, and we lost our cleric.

He hits max of 720... no spells.
Went down after giving him a good beating. Pretty simple with a well organized group.

This guy seems easily one groupable... Correct me if i'm wrong, but if hes slowable he must be pretty gimp in dps. Anyone have any real info about how many he takes etc?
RE: duable?
# Aug 05 2003 at 3:35 PM Rating: Default
well, it's not easy to do with one group, but it has been done. I think you're missing rampage in your calculations. After all this mob quads for 720, so a few lucky rampage rounds after each other can put a rampage tank to rest quickly. He rampages quite a lot, especially before being crippled. It all depends on finding the balance between healing power, tanking strength and dps.
summoned MoB?
# Jul 10 2003 at 12:16 AM Rating: Default
if this guys is summoned, then could we load up our pets with vs. summoned weapons on our pets and Dex buff them and let them Lose on em?i think mages get 2 of em a sword of runes and something walnan. either way it would be nice to have the extra firepower. any ideas?
RE: summoned MoB?
# Aug 04 2003 at 2:18 PM Rating: Default
No mages only get one anti summoned weapon. It is sword of runes. The blade of walnan is just a summoned blade with nice stats +50 hps and a magic based proc.
