I was in DSP by the shroom fort and i noticed that shrooms would break off the ranger who was pulling it and aggro on me even tho i hadnt done anything to it yet..hmm.. both the ranger and i conned it as scowling..strange..i guess it 'likes' me [a froglok shmmy] more than a elven ranger.

I go "Hey it cons Blue to me, I'll tell the grp to ownzor it". I tell the grp "Hey guys, just saw Fungi Shroom pop, who wants to take him down?" Everyone but the cleric said Lets take him. The cleric said he was one strong shroom, but the warrior said that he can solo him. So we try to take him on, but he's gone. We look around, not a single shroom. Suddenly "Train to ME". We look out the ridges and nothing. But the monk spots a guy. It's THE Trainer. We see no train, so we let him zone. But then, the cleric sees this (He was closest) "A Rockhopper hits YOU for 105 damage!" 
Holy sh*t! But that wasnt the main corse, oh no. It was only the appetizer. Suddenly, the monk gets a HT, it's this Mo' Fo'. Oh great. 2 more hoppers decide to help. But the Roast Pig was just to come.... The PH for the elder ran in 
. We were getting our Arses handed to us by 3 hoppers, a PH for a even stronger hopper, and a HTing shroom. We try to zone (Cleric dead, monk dead, Warrior dead, Wizzie 1/2 dead, me 1/4 dead, necro, 3/4 dead) but the necro gets stuck down like a fish being shot with an uzi from a shotglass. Wizzie gets PH hit, and HT. Dead. It's only me. Holy #^^$$#@@!%!!!! I run to the exit, the hoppers, shrooms, and ultra hopper following. Im about to die when I get 1 more trick up my sleeve. I saw a ranger bhind me b4 I ran for stairs. Using my sow, I do the greatest jump in my life across them all and toward the ranger. Call me lucky, but it worked. 
The ranger got entire aggro and went streaming for GE ( I couldnt zone cause there was a zelniak at the stairs) Ahh.... the sweet sound of a ranger getting pummeled. I tell the grp that the coast is clear, Im still in DSP, and alive. I now officially hate hoppers and shrooms..... but then, with revenge, th next time Fungi popped, he immidietly tracked me and HTed me. Damn shroom.

On my way thru DS to maidens , when this Fungi Shroom aggro'd on me. Alls i remember is seeing was ..LOADING PLEASE.. WAIT... and wondered what the heck happened. Owned my 59 wizard in less than 5 seconds. 2 back to back HT's one for 491 another 431, plus a couple 80-100 hp hits..and it was all over. Better subtract 1k hp's right off the bat if u plan on tanking one solo )..
I run from ME to NL all the time as Im camping in ME I go to refresh my C3 and sell the loot I have. Its a must to go past the shrroms invis or SoWed atleast, but chances are very goo of eating 2 401+ HT's and really good of getting atleast 1 HT. Yes they con green to my 56 shaman so no point in killing them unless you dont want to train to zone ( yes its embarassing for a 56 anyone to train to zone from hordes of greenie mobs but better than dying ). Best bet is to go invos, that way they dont see you and you also dont spring the traps. There is atleast one area where like 4 shrroms will pop up if you walk over the ground not invised ( its a "fairy ring", an area of really small mushrooms on the ground ). No idea if lev will not trip the traps, or if a bard or rogue can disarm or sense the traps.

Just hang high on the edge of the zone. There's really no need to run through the shrooms unless you like seeing lower levels die. Which apparently a lot of high levels running through the zone do.
They also fear as well as HT. Easy enough to kill if you have decent resists, and can kill them without getting close.

seems these shrooms switch class sometimes. My warrior was walkin around at 55 and stumbled upon a patch of them ... 3 ht's sent me runnin to zone ...
though my wizard .. got nuked by one of them with a fire nuke.. so.. weird

He conned even to me at lvl 40 and was hitting 100+, luckily a train in ME had a lot of high lvls sitting in tunnel to save my butt.

Got a Cloud Jewel for twilight armor quests off of one of these, I believe it was a fungi shroom (uncapitalized).

Myself (53 druid) and a 51 druid killed the harder version of one of these shrooms tonight and it hit me with creeping crud, a druid spell along with nuking me for 302 which was probably firestrike. Anyways, after all was said and done we both had about 2 bars of health left. Tough little bugger but he dropped a war,pal,shd 2 handed sword 19 40 and some other ok stats on it like agi and sta I think. Forget the name of the sword but a nearby warrior was glad enough to loot it. Oh it was no drop btw.

Remember how you used to have to watch out for the A orcs in Oasis of Marr? Now you gotta watch for Fungi Shroom (as opposed to fungi shroom) in Dawnshroud.
I was killing green con (to 47) fungi shrooms at the shroom camp for a while then decided to wander around a bit more. I happened upon a small ring of mushrooms on the ground with what appeared to be 1 fungi shroom standing in the middle. I stopped quite a ways away from it for a second and it agroed me...It turned into them and between 2 and 3 fungi shrooms were attacking me along with the HTing Fungi Shroom. Took me by surprise to say the least. The Fungi Shroom feared me, HTed me twice for ~400 damage and melee hit me twice for ~97 damage and took me from full HP to less than a bubble in like 4 seconds. Luckily I was able to wait out the fear and FDed.
Watch out for those.

Heh.. That fairy ring of mushrooms is a cute trap.. There was the single shroom, sitting in the middle, nice and blue to my Mage (35ish at the time). Pull with bolt, sic fire pet.. It took off running of course eventually, with my pet in hot pursuit.. No Problem.. dead shroom.
Only one problem.. It runs to the middle of the shroom trap when it is low! I went to loot and the Fungi Shroom spawned right on top of me and it was DEAD MAGE before I even saw him!

One of the "Fungi Shroom"s conned dark blue to me (lvl 55 druid) decided to kill him for the heck of it. He hit me with a harm touch for 431pts so he was level 43. Be careful when killing the mushrooms, they range in level greatly. Killed him easily with the snare, root, dot, dot method. He also tried to cast engulfing darkness.

oh and conned mostly dark blue except 1 to a level 52 shaman as well. this blail again.

I came across these and they are part wizard casue I got nuked for 250+ easy and I resist a lot usually. the agro range is huge and casting range too. they double hit for about 90's. with sow you can outrun them slwoly though they are fast unles they casting then you can easily get out of range. just fyi.

I have an 11th level druid and these things cannot see invis. I was up there just trying to explore and i saw one. I turned invis and explored some more. I happened to stumble upon a whole camp of them inside a hut and not one of them even touched me so i don't know where that came from.

I can confirm that the level range is inaccurate. They still con dark blue to me at 52 and are still very difficult to solo.

One of these aggroed me while I was medding up in Dawnshroud at the rockhopper caves. Max hit was 101. Blue to me at 51, I would say he had near as many HPs as a hill or ice giant, not sure. Cast the standard shadowknight spells but I saw no pet or harmtouch (perhaps he spawned right on me and aggroed immediately.. would that stop a harmtouch?). Dropped not a thing.

I was trying to zone to escape a train and aggroed one of these and being under 400 hp get ht for 401 dam here OUCH!
these bad boys are nasty when you need to zone! heh
Most NPC SKs open up with the HT. If you don't get HT'ed chances are it's not an SK, but might be a Necro, since SK's get all their spells from the Necro lines.
