Terror - Plane of Fear  

Actually, SOE is not so strict as they once were. If you are ks'd or trained or whatever breaks the rules, the GM has to either be there and see it happen or YOU have to supply absolute proof it happened as you say(a simple conversation with the person breaking the rules with them admitting they are doing what u are accusing them of), or the person breaking the rules has to tell the GM they are doing what they are accused of(goodluck on this one happening). Two examples...

FIRST EXAMPLE:
I was killing mobs in a zone on my previous server and was being ks'd by the guild leader of the largest guild on our server at the time. I /petitioned but was told they can't do anything unless I could prove it. They told me how to prove it so next time the mage came over to ks me, I sent him a tell and asked if he was there to ks me again. He said it is not ks'ing when he gets the kill for the mob. I pulled the next mob with a dot and the mage casted one nuke and it was dead. He looted and said thank you for pulling for me. I told him he could not ks me like that again on the next mob. He said he can ks me anytime he wants. I pulled again same way and he nuked again then sent me tell saying see I can ks you again and again as long as I want and there is nothing you can do about it, then he left. I sent that text info to the GM's like they told me to but they didn't do anything to him. They told me if he comes in the zone again while I am there to send that specific GM a direct tell and he will come over and watch him do it then he can suspend him for 6 months. I thought about it but didn't do it because it was my bro's guildleader. I just stayed out of the zone because he would come in everyday.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the ks'ing, training, etc. because I know they won't do anything about it. If you are lucky, maybe you will find a GM who will actually do something but I haven't seen one in six years and am not going to hold my breath until I see another. There are other ways to take care of things especially when a GM don't respond for 12-18 hours after you /petition. I am just giving two examples for those of you who may not know how GM's handle situations.

SECOND EXAMPLE:
I was in Fortress Mechanotus back when it was so laggy as well as alot of other people when a bard from one of the powerful guilds on our server(not to mention Triality's name...oops) was trying to make everyone leave the zone, so he would pull a huge train of mobs on everyone and say in /ooc for everyone to get out of the zone so it is not so laggy. This happened everyday and numerous people /petitioned but yet it happened the next day, and the next, and so on. I zoned in that day and went way up on the hill above everyone so I could watch him gather all the mobs then take them down and dump them on everyone. I would warn them in /ooc while he was gathering the mobs but he still got most of em and sometimes he would gather the same mobs again before they scattered and train the others who he missed the first time(the ones who exodused/evaced).
Well I happened to have some software on my computer that allowed me to record any video display hooked to my computer. I recorded him gathering the mobs and dropping them on everyone and him telling eveyone to get out of the zone or he will do it again. I shouted in zone he has been caught on candid camera and I am going to send it to the GM's. He didn't train anyone again for a couple hours(he was training every half hour). After I /petitioned, I sat there watching to see if he was gonna do it again. He must have tracked me because he found where I was sitting on the hill. The GM showed up beside me on the hill shortly afterwards and explained the video I had taken was not sufficient evidence. He said he had to actually see the bard train everyone. It just so happened the bard started gathering mobs while the GM was there with me. I told the GM he was in luck because the bard was gathering mobs again. The GM watched with me as he gathered the mobs but this time he brought them all up the hill to me then down to the other people. I exodused out(yes, I left the GM to get trained). The bard, again, told everyone to get out of his zone then he included me by name and asked if I got that train on video , too. I happily told him he missed me since I have exodus but I also said I did even better than video. I told him I had a GM standing beside me when he trained me and I dunno if the GM who was standing beside me lived or not. The bard never said another word but logged immediately. I got ALOT of tells from people in the zone and from their guildies who was not in the zone.
Oh and as for the bard, nothing ever happened to him. He was back the next day doing the same thing bragging about how useless my video was. So now I wonder, was the GM playing favorites because the bard was in Triality or was he just making excuses not to ban the bard.
I am not trying to flame Cronuus because I used to be a believer in SOE and GM's but now I know better as does many or our fellow EQ'ers.
