Feeble Mind

He casts an AoE unresistable "Feeble Mind". Basically all your spells, especially healing spells, will fizzle, no mater how high wis or int you have. You can still casts, its just extremelly hard to do without fizzle's.

Perhaps this is actually something new from Luclin, but Feeble Mind has previously been a poison based mana drain...it shouldnt have any effect on fizzle rate of spells whatsoever. Does this spell stick a debuff icon on you when it hits you? If not then its the mana drain...

Well I'm aware of an enchanter spell named Superior intellect or something like that... might be counter spell to feeble mind couldn't it be?

I know some people told me that spell was to help learn skills faster, but since the effect aren't that visible, might just be that as well.

Well just the 2cp of a bard :P

The enchanter spell is probably an int/wis-buff which is mainly used by casters. If you are not a caster then your only use for this spell is int/wis for tradeskill advancement. The concept of counterspells from D&D is not used in EQ.

Actually, the spells increase the casting level of the caster. I am not saying they increase the LEVEL, just the casting level. Basicly, if you are a 52 wizard, it lets you cast as a 58 wizard. You don't gain anything but modifiers... and good ones at that. So, this possibly could somewhat counter the mob's AoE.

yeah or i can just play somethin like BG2 etc. didn't know verant could use monsters from AD&D

edit:
my point would be better expressed as why couldn't verant emmulate the infinity engine's stability compatability etc? (ya it has problems but less is better)
