Dropped a Copper Amulet today. Seems to be very rare, one in a good 50 kills.
Wrong Con

These guys were conning yellow and black to me at lvl 17... These guys are more like 15 - 18 levels. Best place to camp them for some serious xp is at the first bridge coming from Shadohaven. Group of 4 level 18 to 20 in 5 hours at the bridge. 4 Barbs (bl, sh, w, r) were slaughtering with no problems.

Those are the Patarg Phlarg Fiends, not the Plerg's. These guys are over by the Shadeweavers entrance.

Hit fairly light, slow on the running. Easy to pull a single. Don't run when nearly dead, great xps. Only downside is crappy treasure. Other than that, what more could you want in a mob?
was up with this?

Damage

My lvl 25 war has np beating them in singles and small groups... but it is a war of attrition... they can do in the upper teens to low 20's when they hit... fine for awhile but wear you down eventually. Run the walls and you can out run them easily... but watch out... they dot you with spreading crud... if you can't cd, get ready for an hour or so of /gems while you sit and heal... standing and/or moving will leach away hp quickly.
Warder

Be Careful! Warders have bad pathing and can agro a ton of mobs if you are not very careful.

I WANT SOME OF THIS ARMOR! I dont care if its weak. Some lightweight twinkage never hurt, nor are you taunted for it. Anyway, Anyone know the spawn rate? Is it continus? can I pull 3 at a time and be able for a level 20 pet to tank them? do they hit hard? about how much Base HP do they have?

Natem Shadowchasing <Gnomads> 20th enchanter
Remeres Ashenfist <Nomadic adventures> 12th Monk
Seventh Hammer

I love to kill them.

I dont worry about getting more than one. They're pretty slow, and my Halfling Druid can easily outrun them, even without sow. also, I saw some that were black and yellow at 15, so they can go up to at least 16.
Whip
# Jan 22 2002 at 4:44 PM Rating: Default
Buddy and I looted a whip off on of em last night, same stats as a cracked staff (from what I remember, buddy took it) but has some +2 disease damage I think. Oddest part is the whip is 1HB? So now by buddy's Beastlord has a whip...go figure. Not lore, we'd love to get two but after killing these things for a few levels each, we think this might be one of their 'rare' drops.
easy to single pull
# Jan 05 2002 at 7:08 PM Rating: Decent
most of these that ive fought dont run when near dead, and have a narrow zone of agro around them.

kill it where it spawns and unless another wanders very close, you wont have to deal with any others.

. ... run, and the pathing often makes them grab 6 or 7 friends, and its a long run to the zone.

Once I dinged 15 with my kitty, I started camping these in the South side cavern. They hit pretty good, and use that Rash <disease based> dot on you that last forever. I just load up my disease resistance spell and single pull to the tunnel. BTW it takes 3 cure diseases to lose the DOT.

They Drop skin you can eat, fungus armour, stone axes and clubs, spores and spores that stack. Nice exp if you can singel pull. multiples will shred you fast.
