This mob is probably influenced by Legend Of Sleepy Hollow more than anything else. But Samhain is a pagan holiday AKA Haloween.

Not a dang word about the logistics of this creature, or the drop? Nice info for trivial pursuit buff but does anyone know anything releative to the Everquest creature, specifically the Fluxbladed Axe?

Samhain was a mid eighties punk/hard rock band led by frontman Glenn Danzig.....If your ever in Thurgadin, look at the tattoo on the male guards.....it looks very closely similar to Danzigs band skull symbol. Coincidence?

The Celtic peoples called the time between Samhain (pronounced "SOW-in" in Ireland, SOW-een in Wales, "SAV-en" in Scotland or even "SAM-haine" in non Gaelic speaking countries) and Brigid's Day "the period of little sun." Thus, Samhain is often named the "Last Harvest" or "Summer's End"...

The only drop these mobs have is the ranger only fluxbladed axe. You know know about these drops.. seen 4 drop in one clearing, and no drop... so you just never know. Low magic resistances make these mobs relatively easy.

Thank you korelin, atleast you put up something that someone would care about (though i already knew it). ever notice how when you type in samhain, it doesnt show how you pronounce it. the samhain have been known to barely appear, but when 4 or more do, some ranger gets happy.
