Ugly little guy. Hits harder than any other Netherbian I found, and doesn't cast. He drops the Netherbian Chiten every time, I believe.
The /con is solid. If you think you can take him (it?), you probably can.

ac 22 str 2 fire 10 get it right i know i have one on my warrior and just gave another to a friend that my necro got.

i got mine last night and i like it allot it was just me a 28 SK and a friend 28 BST taking on everything we could pull. ended up getting the swarm leader to pop verious times :)

Ok i would like a Price Check on the Netherbian Chiten. If i get a couple guild mates we could get a couple of these. Im lvl 35 war. Get a monk and cleric and would take em.
I was in here tonite with my 24 pally wife and various pick up groups. We took him with as few as three (third being a 26 rogue) but my wife had to lay hands on herself once. It was great exp, great cash loot, and dropped the chitin every time. He was always in the same spot, so I do not know if his spawn was triggered or if he is a timed. But he was there often. The whole Lair is a GREAT spot. I went from dinging 24 here to dinging 25 in just an afternoon, and picked up almost 50 pp worth of cash and loot. GREAT PLACE!

I think they pop random... Killing the other Netherbians (Warriors, Drones, Swarmcaller) makes him pop. I got my Chitin with a small group of lvls 24-30 (I was 24) in that first alcove on the left just after you go in the cave.

My 26 magician took him with an earth pet with a hard fought battle and renew summoning, after I dropped to 2 mana wasn't tough and 150pp is more than fair for the BP but I am generous, and take what ever I can get.

Dunno about level 29. Conned dark blue to me, a 34 monk. Whacked him good... only did about 1/2 a bub of damamge to me before he died. Has bucketloads of hitpoints, just like all the other ugly little things in this zone.
Of course he dropped the Chitin. Hopefully I can sell it for something in the tunnel... I looked around for hours for this guy.

I beat him down today and he conned dark blue to a 37 warrior, dropped Chitin of course. He was fairly close to the main hallway. I also killed the Swarm Caller in the only place that could be described as a room. He didnt drop anything though.
On Erollisi Marr, this MoB is very buggy. Of the 3 times I have tracked him down, twice he was either in the floor or the cieling.
That second time, I could actually see/target him - he was above the arch leading out of the big chamber. But I could not cast/shoot/melee him; I just got the "You cannot see your target." message.
I /petitioned him both times and eventually a guide showed up and despawned him. The second time I filed a /bug.
The one time he was "in play" he was midway down the long hallway leading out of the big chamber.

Ran into this ugly thingie and figured i would kill and he didnt even make my health bar move at 48 got chit and went out to bank =)

I finally took him down today. I camped him for 3 days totaling about 6 and a half hours. He popped for me in the SW corner of the rear room in the Netherbian halls. He gave me exp and i was level 40 at the time. He dropped the Chitten and the ice of velious. He took me for over 200hp before I paved the ground with his face. It was a long wait and should make the Chitten kinda pricey being so. It takes no less then 3hours to get him.

Ok, ive passed through the caverns ALOT and just clicked track, seen him, ran him down, blew his head off. Got BP went home, sold/gave it away, and then gotten it again next time I was passing through. The BP isnt worth more than a couple hundred, and thats just for stats, the rarity of it makes it dirt cheep for the stats it has(which aint half bad for a low/mid lvl). Im very sorry you camped it for so long, quite a waste of time, lol.

Solo? Probably not, unless you are VERY well equipped. The Swarm Leader is right around your level, and as you probably know, rogues are the worst class for soloing.
With a partner though, absolutely. The Swarm Leader seems to be a fairly easy kill for a level 29ish mob.
As far as the spawn point goes, it appears that The Swarm Leader can spawn in any spot that the other Netherbians spawn in, which is the norm for this zone.

Got myself so twisted and turned around in the caves, I didn't know whither I was coming or going. If anyone has a decent area in Netherbian Lair that he spawns at, please post it. This armor would be very decent for dragon raids.

Heyas :) i was just mullen around the zone, trying to raise my 2HS... i was sitting in front of the First hole in the wall on the left side (the netherbain's spawn inside). i was just sitting there, about to ask the zone if anyone had the Swarmcaller on track, when the swarmcaller himself attacked me! So, i am not sure where he spawns... but he must roam the entrance to the tunnel. hope this helps =) Btw, the chiten almost matches Indicolite color =) could fool some friends lol

Took this guy out tonight. He conned high blue to me. Was a good fight with a lot of missing on both our parts, I finally dropped him with about two and half bubs of HP left and got the chiten.
