Dropped the Fist of Horn for me tonight, does indeed still drop from it. This was questioned in an older post.
Loc 2111 / 790 / 20 North end point.. Close to Hollowshade Moor zone line...

I've been farming this guy all day and still no fist of wood or fist of horn, i killed every other shroom in PC and none of them dropped fist of wood =(, do the items still drop?

this guy was very easy to solo on a 20 monk... i've been camping him for a while for the items Fist of Wood and fist of horn i know the other reishis drop the fist of wood but i haven't been lucky at all. What is the spawn timer on the Feller?

Soloed this guy with my 16 Mage, had temp on both my pet and I, made things easy. Would have been even easier had I been 17 so i could have had the earth pet rooting it. Anyways, only got the shield, but this guy would definetely be fun to kill every so often when im down in PC

my level 15 warrior soloed him (full magnetic gear) about 2.3k hp unbuffed. the lowest he got me was 90% before he dropped. thank god for good weapons. Max he hit me was 20

Solo'd with a 21 monk, semi geared, unbuffed, but with a Fungus Covered Scale Tunic. he dropped me to (at the lowest point) 70%; he just couldn't hit me hard enough that the regen didn't negate it. If you've got a high level main, and have a monk alt, GET THAT TUNIC.

I took on this beasty today 24 rogue. He hit me only twice but in the end daggers won the day. Dropped the Cloak.

It's a pretty tough fight as a cleric to solo even at level 28. You could definitely solo it at lower levels, but only with outside buffs and twinked gear.
As a level 28 cleric with only self buffs and glooming deep / newbie gear and a few bazaar pieces, this is a tough battle which you could lose.
Definitely use the root, nuke routine. Tanking it is just not worth it.
However.....
Once you get your level 29 nuke he's cake.

level 16 necro killed him, easy solo, i used about 20m just DoTed him like hell, FD and pet did the rest.

This guy's not too tough, killed him today me a 20 necro, and my friend 20 bst, only took a min. dropped the fist of horn. killed him later with my main, 53 rog in a few seconds. dropped teh shield.
I killed him today, was fairly easy.
When I ran into the room I was prepared for a long camp, but to my surprise he was up.
Didn't want to ***** up and pull to many so I call ed a in cleric friend to pacify all the mobs around him and try for a single pull.
It worked!
After we singled him, I just dotted and sicked pet, only dropped the shield, guess I will have better luck next time.

For all necros camping this mob, make sure neurotoxin is up, just in case your pet runs low or you want to take the kill =)

Am i the only one who sees that a 62 necro is advising other necros to camp a level 24 mob and keep a 1k nuke up incase your pet gets low on life and that he had to get a cleric to pacify level 16 mobs? If you have the spell Neurotoxin and have to worry about your pet's capability to kill a level 24 mob i say hit DELETE asap. And does a 62 necro not have anything better to camp than Paludal caverns? Go to Veksar or something...

34 Ranger, Some really nice gear. Im not gonna go all into my stats and all that, lets just say im not hurting on items. He conned light blue to me, normally for a melee (I think he is a Warrior) against a solo ranger that can get ugly. Now mind you while standing the An Outcast Shiknar did not agro / add to me. They will for a lower. Not at all hard. I think he hit me for 50 something with a 700+ ac ... I made mushroom burgers out of this guy. A lot of hitpoints compared to those bug guys, but cake.... seriously. Especially if a group took him. Droped the cloak as well. Nice beastlord item.

These are not common per sey. but out in Shadeweaver's Thicket There are Loda kai Bandit caves and camps. They drop Horns of spirit, horns of the beast, fist of bones (glowing on hand visible 10/50), High Apprentice's Eitchatka and others. anyways. much lower level mobs to obtain similar stuff. The reason I post is I think I have seen the fist of wood (5/20) drop at least ONCE off a bandit. Because the default delay on fists is so poor, nearly anything is better to raise H2H skill.

the dude was cake... my 24 mage soloed him w/ water pet and all i did was heal. Dropped shield first time cape second. Later now that i'm 29 i've come back to get the sheild for my pally. gonna camp it agian to get some fists for a monk i plan on making.

soloed at 22 with shaman. rooted from that far spot, dotted, slowed when root wore off and then hit it with my hammer and chain-casted spirit strike til dead. was easy- was suprised. gave me the eye too. :)

I Soloed him with my 25 pally who had Agro. I needed to use LoH and when he died i only had 15% helth left. Is that normal or am I just bad?

this guys a push over... sort of... my 23 bl took it and all it took was 60% of my mana
all i did was heal

killed twice with a pretty much untwinked mage, aroung 150 int, earth pet. first dropped eye second dropped fist of horn. best spot to rest is high up on the wall on the other side from all the bugs (light blue to green at 24). gives around 7% of a full exp bar per kill (almost half a yellow bulb) each kill. each time i had between one and two bulbs of mana left, pet had about 2 bulbs of health left. barely resisted anything (without malaise, thought i bought it but couldnt find it when i was about to fight). just buff pet, nuke, heal if he is starting to get whooped too bad. i just stood on the wall and casted while pet attacked on the island. take out the owlbear before hand and youll have plenty of time to do the whole fight. between spawns you might as well kill minnogulper (PH is a grimy owlbear) and maybe bugs.
some specs:
hits for about 56 max, doubles
has around 700 HP
doesnt resist much
has no PH
spawns every 90 minutes

where is the spawn located at???
(edit) nm, i found where it spawns, [2000,900,45] approx. this is the north western most corner of the zone. The spawn time is 90 minutes give or take about 5 minutes, according to my Casio. Got the shield the first time, and then got it the second time as well, lore item cant loot 2x
