These drop no cash at all. They do drop 3 stackable items worth 5 to 20pp each: Chunk of Shieker Flesh, Sturdy Mushroom Stem and Pristine Shieker Cap. Yet another reason this zone was just made for monks.

Well I thought for seconds and thought hmm now how do i smoke the Fungi weed? And I bought a Small Narrow Pipe called Da PiPe And i smoked it , It was Gooooooooooood very! , Got me stoned less then 2 hits Was WAY better then beer ide say. After some patches verant has made these harder to solo. The shrooms alternate on being able to be snared ( get immune message ) not to mention while you DONT get an immune message for root , it is resisted 90% of the time even with Mal and Tash on..... so dont plan on this being a casters favorite solo mob. Though I do know some druids who full speed kite these things =)

On the other hand , these things are looking to have around 8k or so HP ( guess ) and with a slow on they are easy as pie. With a chanter partner , using his pet ( gasp! ) and mine ( lvl 60 necro ) we are able to take out 5-6 shrooms before repop. The only thing to keep in mind is for the necro to use his high aggro spells ( keeping mob off chanter ) since the necro can lifetap his HP back up. This of course means the necro is playing the role of main tank , not pets! With chanter using Beserker Spirit , the XP moves right along. There are a numer of easy areas to pull the shrooms to for easy fighting , just keep en eye out for train pullers ( people who are pulling everythign they can find back to thier group to be mezzed and diced, usually OVER YOU )

Im a dwf pally and i went out there looking for the guy for the shadowhaven amulet quest (i forgot his name) so i thought that maybe he was outside the little town in the cave. i take three steps out and one of these little basters says to me some on the lines of "Dwarves like you are better off dead!" When i saw that i tried to turn and run but he must have aggroed every creature in a 30 ft radius around him becuase the next thing i know im not moving and getting hit for 200+ of course i only lasted about 4 sec before i died. Now i know not to go anywhere near there until i am higher and better armed. Oh an when i went to go get my body back it was changed into one of them. i thought it wasn't mine at first but when i summoned corse on it it moved so i looted it and sure enough it was mine. Oh well thats what i get for being lvl 13 in a 50 zone. lol

It gets very tedious, however I can solo these as a 60th level monk for alternate experience. I think this may be the best solo experience in EQ. My gear is moderate: Imbued Fighter Staff, epic, Fungus Covered Scale Tunic. 2100 or so HPs, AC only 1000 or so. I've heard the effects are disease, not magic-based. With svDisease at around 100, I still get nailed occasionally with the slow, stun or occasional shroom morph.

Small mushrooms will aggro lotuses and dregs. They probably aggro the chakta fungusbeasts as well. Other creatures, such as the bug men and the neanderthals, don't get aggroed from them.

A cleric and I (58 warrior) duo these. It takes a long time, but once you start you can add damage dealers till they go down. The key is forget about ac, just wear MR gear, and keep resist magic buff up on you. Once you get above 150 MR, 99% of their spells bounce off you. Their melee is a joke, so once you resist everything they're easy. Just tons of hp :(

I soloed one with my 56 mage. Malosi'd it, sicked earth pet in, healed pet 4 times, then dropped Sirrico on it twice, healed pet 2 more times, cast a new pet as the first one was getting close to death, put in /pet get lost right before I finished casting, sent in the new pet, threw cadaeu of flames on it,and started in with scars of sigil 'till it died. Pet was at 40% and I was at 20m

I was w/ a monk friend of mine last night. A lotus killed him (dumb **** didnt attack it right away, let it DD him 3 times to begin w/) and I was dragging his corpse to a cleric to get him a rez. Just as I exited the cavern w/ the lotus and the left, I went straight and passed by 3 shrooms. Wrong answer. They started up my beatdown w/ 2 of them casting some type of stun. The 2nd one didn't overwrite the 1st one. Lasted like 6-8 secs. Also DD. Resisted them all. Am a 51 dru w/ 65 sv magic at the time. With the bastards chain stunning, they made quick work of me.

I was fighting these last night and they were all blue or even to me. So, max level is definitely 49. Of course, this may change by tomorrow.

I've fought here and against these things a couple days. All so far conned blue to me at level 54. My pet which i belive to be around level 45 cons light blue. So is the listed level Correct. If so must be a misscon then.

at lvl 54 a lvl40 is the lowest dark blue con, so your highest light blue con is lvl39.

At 54 if your pet is light blue then it is in the upper 30's range... 38 or 39ish. 54 mages have level 45 pets, 54 shamans do not.

Okay am I the only one that see's this picture and things how cute? Although I've not fought one yet I kinda like the advancements that they have done with the cute little critters.
