Got him far northeastern part of zone, right by Vraptin. Was walking west/nw about to go over the cliff.

Now I see him again just SW of The ToV cavern, about where it says his name on brewall's maps. I followed him ENE following the bottom edge of the cavern, a lindwyrm, Travala, Tantor, Cargalia, a banished efreeti, and Von were up. I had been killing a dragon, Glati mostly, and Jen sapara, Neodia, and whomever spawned in their place. I don't know if that was it. Stopped at -1831, 1471, -14.19 then -139, -1978, -18.38, then 97, -2543, -18.38 (about where it says Nintal on the map), pausing for a good few minutes at each spot. Then turned NNW and walked directly through a large crystal formation, just left of the spire where it says Tantor on the map, bearing WNW, until 3754, 1579, -33,08 (SW of Gafala), where he stopped for a good minute or two an then turned SSW, right through the spire, past Yeldema, and stopped at 630, 3094, -60.

After another solid couple of minutes he turned due south, then angled SSE, until a sharp turn East, then some small angles as he went east, following the ridge below the canyon as he went east. He suddenly turned east, stopped SE of Von on the map. Then NW until he reached the canyon where he hung a left to go west. All the way unto the edge of the map, at -28, 5125, -409, yes, underwater.

After a few minutes, SSE, over the cliff, into the water, until he pretty much hit the edge of the map at -3871, 2522, -340.1. A few minutes later he goes NE, through where it says Amcilla on the map, (Amcilla was on track), past where it says Onava on the map, stopping at -585, 108, -9. Then East, following the ridge, until -525, -1496, 35.
Now NE, then N to go just past the far eastern tip of the canyon, all the way until we were west of Vraptin at 3983, -2209, -57. Several minutes later we go west, through where it says Jen Sapra (yes I know it is supposed to be Sapara), going by Gafala on the south side, stopping at 3949, 1889, -53 for a few minutes.

W SW until 2950, 3126, -62 where he faced West. East
until...south through the right side of the canyon until -353, -1309, -13 and you can take it from there. I'm tired.

I did notice after a bit, Strong Horn still appeared on track but now Neordia did also.

Greetings Adventurer,

Stronghorn is still in the game. I was able to confirm that players have been looting Stronghorn and receiving his Fabled Stronghorn's Horn. The fabled mobs are being phased out of the game and will be completely gone within the next day when the patch runs. He is a very difficult mob to find and kill so its understandable to wonder if he still exists. If you have any issues in the future, or would simply like to contact us, please feel free to send in another petition. Thank you for your patience and happy hunting.

65 Nec, standard reverse aggro kite...Horror wouldn't stick, everything else would. Fair amount of hitpoints, 1 snare resist out of 8?

Enrages at end of fight.

Was up 5/23/03 after a reset..took 30 minutes to solo no epic no KEI but lvl 65 druid. DO NOT ensare a Brontotheriom and then charm..tryed that but when both are snared StorngHorn can still out run your new pet. so that was a waste- as i am KOS and needed to kite him in a small area.If you have to egress run back fast it is nice that this mob regains health very slow.

Soloed him in 32 minutes at level 56 - bard. Finished with 17% mana and 100% health. Get aggro by dotting, debuffing him. Charm a velium hound and sic it on him. You can get additional aggro on yourself by healing yourself. He may kill one or two hounds, but you'll get aggro eventually. Poison, disease and fire stuck a bit. Immune to my cold.

The knockback from the weapon he drops is incredible.

Tantor is a little easier, because he has less HP and resists. Finished him with 60% mana.

This technique works on all non-summoning, non-casting mobs in outdoor zones.
level 65

Damn Druids!

Decided to XP in WW today and wanted my bard friend to tag along but he had to log,but before he logged he said that he wanted to kill Strong Horn for his weapon someday.I told him that I never heard of him.Anyways,I zoned in and he was up.I figured what the heck,i'll give it a shot.I am a 56 Druid,I tossed a glamour on him and snared,to my surprise...snare stuck!.I then layed on the dots and charmed a velium hound and aggro kited him for like 30 minutes till he finally died. The horn is now a trophy of my accomplishment of a lvl 63 solo kill.

Strong Horn does exist!

Yes he does still exist! Killed him on Erollisi Marr on Jan 7, 2003. He was wandering between Dragon Necropolis zone and Siren's Grotto zone. When I zoned in from SG he was trackable (druid track) from the bottom of the tunnel. A friend was tracking him, and he wandered out into the ocean, and at one time disappeared and reappeared near DN. He was yellow to me, a 63 druid.

We had 2 63 druids, a 63 bard, and a 63 enchie pet kiting him, but that was complete overkill. You can do him if you can do Tantor. I didn't get hit, so I don't have any of that info, but his knockback proc is hysterical, there were pets flying everywhere. It was a fun fight, would love to see him again, the bard got the piercer he drops.

lol woops, edited to fix my sig =)

Does he really exist?
# Dec 30 2002 at 4:49 PM Rating: Decent
I've been checking the zone every day 4-5 times a day for 2 weeks and havent seen stronghorn pop. Is there a catch to making stronghorn pop in WW or is he no longer in the game?

Rather nasty
# Jan 04 2002 at 4:40 PM Rating: Decent
This guy is rather nasty, he will quad with each hit in the 200 range. He hits very fast, and will knock you across the zone.

He runs as fast as 54 sow, can't not be snared.

If you wish to take him on a large group, I recommend taking into the tunnel to beat him down.
RE: Rather nasty
# Jun 14 2002 at 8:52 PM Rating: Decent
This post is pretty accurate, he hits well into the 200s, runs sow speed (like Tantor), is extremely resistant to snare (ie without malo being cast on him, it is next to impossible). His proc is absolutely amazing, it will literally send you hurling through the air and you'll land quite the distance aways. You won't take much damage on the hit but you eventually dropping to the ground makes up for it.
