Well, I killed this guy about a month and a half ago, so he isn't that new. He had no faction hits, and was a cleric (casted heal and wrath-type nuke), but he GAVE A QUEST. There was a bard in a DE illusion mask and he hailed him. I didn't happen to have a chat log, and was already attacking when he was hailed, but the jist of it is that his mentor was a master priest. His master went out on some journey, and this person went looking for him. Hell, even though he was KOS to me he would talk to me, so I suggest that if anyone else kills him to try and chat with this inkie.

Maybe a new epic?

Yeah, it might be an epic item for beastlords or something like that.....

The report of what he drops didn't mention if he's on Venril Sathis faction. The name makes me think he's one of the Teir'Dal in the Outpost. But the goon reference makes me think he might be a named Sarnak. So, the question is, who/what is Vazern and where can I find him?

I've never seen this cat in person, but I do know for a fact that the slang term "goon" refers to the 50ish dark elf guards, or Dragoons, that stalk around in OT killing mid-level folks, and not the sarnak dragoons that litter OT, FM, and Ill Omen.

Concidering he's listed as a guard, and the comparison to a 'goon, I'd say that he is one of the Teir'Dal in the outpost.

Ah yes, the goons... I hate them! Especially the super-goon called "General" (lvl 58 SK). No respect for us Iksar at all! They just attack without ANY warning... When I becomes I highbie I'm gonna hunt THEM!
