I call tell you that Thaedson's assessment of her pathing is an accurate one. Upon entering West Karana I first tried the suggested map coordinates that lie south and west of the Cyclops' Hill and on the edge of a farm. Nothing interesting of note there, so I proceeded to the totem stone.
After a few minutes of searching the surrounding hills, Choon popped within sight of the toten stone. When I spotted him he was engaged in battle with a werewolf, and I burned both of them down.
After a moment of deliberation, I decided to take Thaedson's advice that Oobnopterbevny Biddilets follows a path that crosses the Cyclops' hill and headed due west toward Qeynos, carefully watching my map and compass and taking landmarks. My instincts said west was the correct choice, and as it turns out it was. As previously posted here, Oobnopterbevny is KOS to the Cyclops but can easily defeat them. The very fact that Choon was on the hill indicates she might not have passed through the region yet.
After a short time I reached the western border and began to track back east. Upon climbing the hill again, Froon was there. I can attest that these Cyclops have a very large aggro range; much more than you'll be used to if you're accustomed to fighting this mob in Rathe Mountains or the Ocean of Tears.
I ran west back down the hill to gain some lead-time and rooted & nuked him. At this very point Oobnopterbevny was coming up on the hill, moving due east.
I did this quest as a 68th wizard and yes I know I am over-leveled for it by a considerable margin. This was primarily done for faction and the fact that I wanted to do some Old World content for a change. Oobnopterbevny was a grey con and burned down effortlessly to a 3K nuke.
What information I want to leave you with is that Oobnopterbevny does take a west-to-east path crossing the Cyclops' hill. To my knowledge I saw no evidence of placeholders for Froon and Choon; I was alone in the zone and they popped randomly.
Unless Oobnopterbevny has been nerfed since previous posts, she is not very fast at all. Any toon with a decent land speed should catch her. I can attest that her small size makes her a hard target even on the plains; clearly I missed her on the pass west, as she was coming up behind me at the time I killed Froon.
However, I completed this quest alone and with no tracking, in a little over a half-hour. If you are patient and have a sharp eye, Oobnopterbevny can be located without any special detection beyond eyeballing it.

She conned LB to me (59 Warrior) and my 60 Ranger pal I brought along to track her. Call me crazy, but she couldn't possibly be level 40 and con LB to a level 60 toon, right?

Found her wandering without her pet. She conned dark blue. I had all my resist buffs up (between 73-89 on all) and she still landed 2 DoTs on me. Bashed her noggin in but was oom and at 22% health by the end. Tough little melee for a necro. Should have chain stunned her but was trying to work on my defense. Wax on, wax off does not work on Oobnopterbevny, maybe try sand the floor next time...

Whatchoo talking about, Muwen? I soloed her last night with my 54 ranger. She landed four spells (two nukes, heat blood and fear) and I bow kited her to death all across West Karana. I was at 30 percent health, out of arrows and mana at the end of the fight, though.

I wandered around WK for a good half hour checking track the whole time. I killed Froon & Choon as well as Chief Goonda to pass the time. Just as I had memmed my gate to the Nexus, I checked track one last time and she was up. Dark blue to me at 51, she was killing Froon & Choon (loc neg 1237 neg 8674). I rooted her pet first and then her. Snared and triple dotted both. Only had to refresh root and one dot once with her. With my saves at 66 71 76 76 59 (in that order) she didn't land a spell on me. Hope this helps someone. Good Luck!

55 Druid here. She was attacking one a names cyclops so I jumped her... ROoted the pet and her then started nuking her up the wazoo. Id say ABOUT 3k of HP (my 600 nuke Socriae took her down by one bub of health). FM and Full Health, 217 wis. I was goofing off and playing with her pet so they got me down to about 60 health. All of her spells resisted (SVP 15... SVM 65.... SVD 57 ... SVF 70... SVC 72)
So I guess if you have decent resists... at least 1k of hp and you can deal out 3k of damage fairly fast it shouldnt be a problem. If you cant go hire a hit squad of nukers 8)

She moves From West side to East side along the path of Froon and Groon once she reaches North Karranan zone line she despawns and repops in corner near the QH zone then walks thepath again. Follwed her several times to check with druid 55 and track.

Oob's spawn rate last night was approximately 45 minutes. We killed her in the hills WEST of Froon and Choon's hang out and then went to the Miller Farm to wait for the pop. It seemed longer (there is NOTHING to do while waiting for her but killing greens) but it was about 45 min later when she popped. She moves fast and is hard to spot because of the terrain and her size. I strongly reccomend that you either bring in a ranger alt or have a friend come along.... tracking is really the only way to get her.
With regard to her Strength the first time we had a 55 shammy, 51 pal, 46 pal and 43 wiz. Major overkill. The second time we had 51 pal, 46 pal and 50 wiz. Both times she went down with no real problems for our groups.

This bish has a huge aggro range. I'm running through WK to go camp hadden in QH when all of a sudden i resist some lifetap. So I run like hell because everyone knows its not easy for rangers to solo.

If you hang out a little SW of the WK/NK zone line and just start casting Sense Summoned every so often, you'll eventually get her pet and you can head right to her.

...and her pet this AM with my 51 druid. I don't know if I got lucky and caught her when she was lvl 35 or what (lvl range is 35-45?). Anywho...
I buffed myself up with everything I had, even resists and thorns. I thought about charming a bear pet to take her pet but ended up not using a pet. I simply snared and rooted her pet and then went to work on the little Necro herself. She was very easy. Snare, root, dot (with ESV), Ice, Starfire, and then ran out of spell range to med. When dot wore off I ran back into spell range and recast. When root broke I ice/starfired again and she dropped. I root/rotted the pet to finish it off. With ESV and 196 Wis plus 80 or so mana bonus from other items I still had 40% mana left when I was finished. Neither laid a hand on me and she only landed one dot. I resisted everything else and I don't have any resist gear. My resist spells got me into the 60-70 range and that seemed to be enough. It really was cake. But, like I said, maybe I got lucky...
She dropped about 6pp and the 3 jars.

I soloed her today as well, she conned deep blue to me at lvl 51, so I started my favourite Holy might spell (60dam, 6sec stun) run to her , start whacking, her health bar and mine start goin down head to head, she coulnd't land a single spell on me, so I was confident I'll kill her, because I still have LOH, around 10% of my life casted LOH on me, and stun and yaulp and whatever a paladin use in the battle, and then the suprise came :)

hehe I had 100 hp so I killed the skeleton which couldn't be more than lvl 10 because couldn't hit me except the only time when I tried to sit down.
I looted the jars and 5pp, went back to Qeynos and got the researcher's badge :)

Well she conned White to Me (lv 40 Druid). Me and my guild Mate. What we did was he (lv 35 Shammy) took out the pet While I killed her. Had a bandit join in the fight the middle. SHe is one fast caster . the last was she hit me Zap zap with 2 dot Scoure and I hit her with my dot she died and my mate was tring to get a heal on me but the DOT got me. LOL we got her but she got me too.

Just incase Anyone dosen't know, The 3 jars she drops is for a qeynos quest...
the finat item, (Qeynos Badge of Honor) is the result of 4 quests, lvl 15-50+....the first one is quite simple, and i've done it many times....but lol i'm now KOS to dagarok...(as a pally it's ok...but he hurts with HT...)
anyway, the quests aren't worth it for the dificulty....the final quest you need to kill 4 specs, and 3 necro's in one mob....(can anyone say OH sh*t!!!)...and the real bad part...the one you need spawns at the ent to necro guild in qeynos sewers...(hence the specs) so if you plan on it...GOOD LUCk....
Also for those who want to try it...the 2nd quest is currently broke...and the interrogater has been removed from South karana...so you'll have to wait anyway

you poor, poor man... you don't know how wrong u r in saying that it's not worth the effort! I can't believe that no one has reallized that the only TRUE way to win is to be able to say 'I did soandso quest and got my crappy reward!' it really DOES feel good to accomplish something... I would definately take that feeling over any other bazaar-purchased item any day just so I could say I did. But that's just my opinion...

Actually, I had an interrogator on track 31 May 02 in SK... He still spawns
The quest was broken for a while, but is definitely fixed now. All NPCs are in place or spawning normally; a friend completed this series of quests last week.
The Quest is actually worth it and if you want to do it hail Miegre on the Ayonae Ro server... A few Guildies and I have done this about 15 times 
BTW: If anyone wants to try the 5th part of this I would love to try it .. in about 10 more levels, lol

Saw her on track about 5 minutes ago.. (just went LD hehe), she was YELLOW at 31, yes yellow..she must have a huge level difference each spawn, when i finally tracked her down to take a look, she didnt have a pet... was going to attempt to kill her when i logged back in, but from the posts...ill pass (want to keep C3 too hehehe)

Me (32 Druid) , and 2 guildies (43 Monk and 39 rogue) were hangin out in WK looking for werewolves (one of us wanted to do some quest with a werewolf skin), killing ogres for fun, and cylclopes, whatever was around.
Anyway, i see this Ghoul Messanger and something Spirit on track, so we go to check em out. Well I guess the rogue mistargetted and hit Oobnopterbevny isntead of the spirit thingy, wich i had snared and it was beating on me..
Anyway, I seem him get feared, and losing health fast.. I get one heal off, boom she fears me. By the time I come back into control 39 rog is dead. Monk starts wailing on her. Feared.. i chase after try to heal monk once, but she regains control of her character and feign death.. Me feared, dead in 2 seconds....
Not fun at all LoL.... we might have had a chance if we were all ready and knew what the hell was going on, maby, conned blue to the monk, red to me of course, and her pet was yellow to me.
Oh yeah, I was dubious i think, maby even indifferent.. (Tunare WE druid) hehe just though I'd vent about how much this sucked. Nasy gnome necro... :/

didnt stand a chance me (level 40 pally at the time) and a 36 ranger killed her with eaze ranger took pet and i owned all over oonopterbevny chian stunning and bashing the life outa her.

She cons even to a 40 druid. Myself and a 49 ranger killed her for the qeynos quest. Took all my mana and he was down to 20 health. She is a nasty little necro.

I've killed her with my lvl 49 Shaman, and she took 2 Ebolts to kill.. in other words shes got 2k+ hits and also cons Blue...

She is a quest NPC after all, for the 3rd Qeynos badge quest, which is actually linked here, but the text wasn't edited. The items she drops werent written up yet for some reason either.
Yeah, and if you ever see here on track ... please do not kill her as someone is most likely coming to look for her to complete the Researcher's Badge .. /bonk

I killed her twice with my lv 53 necro, getting exp both times (she cons blue). So as for the lv of her...she is higher than 36, thats for sure

I think this NPC is higher than 20-36. I've been killed by her while i was running in WK at lvl 46, she dispelled me, i losted all my buffs and SOW.

This NPC has a pet I saw it on track, it had her name, and then there was a pet too so watch it.

hehe I was lvl 44 druid at 60m at the time with a lvl 51 ranger who was at 40m and a lvl 21 warrior. I saw this blue con on track so the ranger pulled it. Bad idea. She dispelled, dotted then took the ranger when I went oom, then took out the warrior. All the while her green con pet is double hitting for 35. As a druid I can only only take so many 70dmg hits. I made it to the zone but just barely with those dots on me. Be careful and prepared when you fight her!
