In answer to all these posts about getting this guy to talk to you...
You must be lvl 46+ before he will talk to you...
If you think this is bad try Chanter Epic... The NPC's there won't talk to you till you're 51...

How to talk with Rykas..

You need to get Illousion Gnome Potion from bazaar or make potion by yourself and use it. You can talk with Rykas as Gnome.

Or Your boxing with higher chanty to cast Illousion Gnome to this magician to get token for epic. It's easier to talk with him with Illousion Gnome.

Important**
Must use Master Gnome Language maxiumum 100/100.

wife had to bring in her ranger to track him he was at loc about +960 -653 alright but he was underwater so i had to make hot button to talk to him for it was hard to talk to him underwater floating down hope this helps some

As of August 4th I can't get this guy to give my Druid the coin no matter if I target him or myself. Anyone else have any better luck?

The last loc this guy was at when I saw him was +967.70, - 665.27 or something to that extent.

You don't just hail him, you have to target 'im and say 'I wish to learn of the tale of Magi'kot' and he'll get you on your way. For the luv of Tunare, don't fokin' kill him!

He gives you something to take to Jahsohn Aksot. I believe he is in West Commonlands, but don't quote me on it because I haven't started to look yet, but this is what a Wizard told me a while back. I did this a month ago, so all this should be up to date...

After that, it's a arse-load of running around and playing messenger boy, as it is in all the Epics. Hope this helps...

I've heard like 5 different places he could be, but I was wondering if anyone accually knew where he is and if he only appears at certain times or somethin. Because i swam to like every island and couldn't find him at all.

I was sitting at the Arena with my alt Def wiz. I dueled this peck and killed him, while sitting for a min or so this red npc nuked me 2 times before i figured out I needed to zone into arena.
when I came out he was conning dubious again. I hailed him and he alouded me to start quest. strange.

hey.. for all those that wanted to just rocket through to 24... sorry all.. i tried doing the quest today.. and got junk exp... i was hearing how u would get a yellow for every 2, 3 coins.. but it got nerfed to like.. 1 bub of BLUE for every 5,6 coins.. so.. this quest isn't even worth it anymore.. too bad eh?

i have seen him for the past three days under one of the gaurd towers of the aviak camp just outside the tunnel to the arena took the coin but destroyed it.

For all you lvl 19 Druids out there that just got your ports...
1.) Find this guy and bind next to him.
2.) Tell him "I wish to learn"
3.) Port to WC "West Commons"
4.) run straight West and find Jahsohn Aksot
5.) Give him the coin that Rykas gave you for excellent EXP
6.) A little bit of this and you will be 20 and can track him for quicker EXP.

If you Bind yourself on the little island he is on...then say to Rykas...."I wish to learn"... he will give you a small coin. Now, hopefully, you have a TP spell to WC (this is great quest for Druids around lvl 19 - low 20's). TP to WC and head towards the pond. In that area you will find Jahsohn Ak'sot (tracking helps, since he is always on the move.) Just Hail him to make him stop...then give the coin to him and you get exp (no items or money, but a good bit of exp though.) Now just gate back to the island, say "I wish to learn" and wash rinse and repeat! 8-) You can literally gain several levels without killing a single NPC. I think this is the first part of the Mage epic, but I'm not a mage, so I didn't get Ak'sot to give me any other quests. But anyone can get the exp just for the coin. When I was lvl 19, I was getting like a half a yellow bub for each coin...sweet!
