I have never seen this mob. There are the following.
Jungle Spiritling (green)
Mountain Spiritling (purple)
Valley Spiritling (golden)
and I think the Red one is missreported, that is a SPIRIT of some kind thats used for an SK quest for a spear or lance or something.
They either drop a burned out lightstone. Like a willow wisp. Or a stone named after them. The stone is what I think to be an even greater light source then a greater light stone, and can be put in primary OR secondary. I dont think there is a lesser. Either burned out or full on. They are used in a quest.

the CLOSEST thing in SB to "a hill wisp" is "A spirit"
there are 3 different types of SPIRITLINGS, and "a spirit" but i can assure you there are no hill wisps.
and if youre wondering, "a spirit" is a low lvl quest npc involved in the "Riddosan's Spirit" quest..

accually it does i killed one the other day.

These all drop either light stones (burned out ones are the only kind i've seen) or spirit stones appropriate for the color (jungle drops green, highlands a kind of pinkish, etc). the spirit stones sell for a couple pp and are also used in a quest.

Only Yellow/Gold ones I have seen are the 'Valley Spiritlings',the others are the purple 'Mountain' one, and the green 'Jungle' one, also a quest 'Sprit' that is red
