apparently he isn't on the time locked progression servers yet, so Ghoulbane quest cannot yet be completed. Hope this changes sooner rather than later.

Just found Ryshon @ 11:45 PM Alaska time, July 27 2004 in the FARTHEST South East corner of WK, VERY close to the NK border. He is right on yhe shore so just follw the water with water on your right, and bam there he was. Most time taken to get the note was purley running to the other end of WK. GL to everyone, hope this info is helpful.

I finally found him yesterday at about 1am game time, but the thing i noticed is that all of npcs involved in this quest despawn instantly after you finish your business with them, so basically if you just need to get there before somebody else and he should be up.

(Side note: I've always seen Ruathey up in lavastorm when I run by, but guess who wasn't up when I was had everything else and was ready for the ghoulbane...mmm hmmm)

Got to his spawn area in WK near the water just south of the undead camp and he was not there.

This was at about 1pm EST and the servers went down at 6am EST. I was not able to long in till 12pm and had to have time to run to WK. Had I kown that he was on the OTHER side of the zone I would have taken the Nexus port or got a wiz to xloc me instead of the Qeynos book.

Just hope he spawns when I get home tonight at 6pm EST.

Just wanted to provide a reassuring update on Ryshon. I tried to camp him for ~10 hours yesterday and never saw him. Came back today and he is there. Interestingly, I couldn't get the Amstaf scroll for this quest to drop at HHK yesterday, but it immediately dropped today. Coincidence? Maybe there are certain days in which this quest is active?

I dont know if someone killed him or what, but i have been camping where everyone says his spawn is for about 7 hours on and off since 11 last night, and no show. Is his spawn maybe 24 hours and someone killed him or what? Any information would be apriciated.

edit: UPDATE i petitioned about 30 mins ago, had a gm come down, and she said she could not find the damned guy anywhere herself. Told me it might be a long spawn, she doesnt know, and that she will report it as a bug to see if anyone else knows. I suppose he really aint there then...

You have to coruurpt the Ghoulbane so its also done by shadowknights and its far more easier to do the quest than camp it in Guk unless your one of those lucky people

Well for me ... he wasn't there on Friday night ... but he was there on Saturday ... game time it was night both times. I did like a previous post suggested ... camped and just retried later.

Not sure what is up with him. Maybe folks hack him up for fun while running down the beach? But not too many high level folks go up and down the beach.

I saw him next to the river just across from the bandit camp. Zone in from North Karana and follow the river. When you see the bandit camp from the river, just stop there. That's where I saw him.

I only had half my mana and tried to kill him. For a greenie weenie, he had some major hps. When my mana went dry, I just gave up and left.

Ryshon Hunsti is the first NPC you must talk to in the Ghoulbane, or Sword of Nobility, Quest. Just follow the text prompts and you will receive the "Note to Kanthuk". Ryshon is not hard to find at all. He's in West Karana along the river, not far from the North Karana zone line. He's probably the most well-known NPC in this quest since anyone traveling along the river to Qeynos has passed him and probably chatted with him about the nobleman's sword.

He may be easy to find when he is there but I have walked up and down that beach for so long waiting for him to spawn I am surprised Verant hasnt put a path there to mark my passage. Does anyone know the spawn time? and better yet the exact location that he spawns in?

Any info at all would be helpful

I think you have to wait until daytime to find him. He spawned right at 8:00 AM at neg 4239, neg 15170. I was looking for him at night and he just wasn't there.

I found him on 11/16 @ 2pm EST. Finally! I camped the spot on and off for the last few days, signing on at random here and there. It was raining alot of the time and I didn't se him until it stopped, so maybe that has something to do with it as well. Good luck to all my brother Paladins on this quest!

ok here is the deal i was just sent a tell by a GM and they told me that the quest was bugged as far as kanthuk is concerned and told me i would have to wait until it was fixed and he wouldn't give me an ETA on when it would be fixed just and FYI for all you wanting to do this quest...

Ok last nite a fellow guildie and myself ported to Lavastorm to check my faction with Ruathey to do this quest as I'm a lv40 iksar shadowknight. After a short wait she popped and viola conned indifferent. So I decided to start the quest. After a port to North Karana and a run in with the druids, I ran safely to West Karana. I conned indifferent to Ryshon, hailed him and got the note. Next we ported to Butcherblock and found Kunthak Ogrebane. I conned indifferent to him as well. Gave him the note and after saying the first line of conversation he just went mute, wouldn't say a word or respond to the required keywords. Yes he was targeted and he still wouldn't talk. After a bit he despawned then repopped. I could hail him and he would say hello but nothing after that. My question is have any iksar's ever successfully done this quest? Also the druid did the same thing and had the same response. Any suggestions?

Quests are hard enough with out people messing them up buy killing the key NPCs, he starts the quest for crying out loud, he drops nothing cos all hes there for is to give you a note. dont kill him!!!

I killed him today with a level 30 bard and he conned blue to me. No faction hits, no loot. He smacked pretty hard for his level and I fear kited him around for a bit. The one time I let fear fade off, he healed himself from a quarter to three quarters in no time. After that, I kited him around a little more and he dropped. Kind of a waste of my time, really but I didn't know that at the time.

Every paladin on Xev is going to kill me for this, but... Does anyone know what faction he is on? I've pretty much narrowed it down to either Beta-Neutral, Knights of Truth, Clerics of Marr, or faction-less. I want to find out before I start killing him, because I don't like taking bad faction hits unless I know what I'm getting into.

he just ain't there, i waited right by the various loc's i have been given and nothing happened i also ran along the river seeing if he was around.

GOT HIM, i have recently come into the information that he is a 24 hour spawn so you gotta be lucky to catch him, plus no-way is he lvl 55 he's yellow to me at 22, he is right at the water's q short way past the trees that are just inside of the zone.

he is even to me at 23, but there's no way to take him, i am a fully twinked shm, with JB armor and better, tried him multiple times only to find myself run to zone each time.

You must find him as he gives you a note for the Dwarf in BBM. Without the note the Dwarf will not tell you his story

i've been looking around for this guy on my ranger and can't find him either, anybody know if he's a random spawn or something? can i cheat and just hail the dwarf and get out of hailing this guy?

This guy is green to a level 34 character, so no way is he level 55. His exact loc that I found him at is neg 4239, neg 15170, right on the edge of the river, close to the NK zone.
