Torklar Battlemaster  

Torklar is probably a little annoying to everyone(I've run into him several times while being PLed here(so sue me; 10-20 is the most boring period in the game!)) but me, being a measly 12(well, now 14) druid people train him to me all the time. He hits me for in the 40's,(70's tops) so then I hightail my wolf formed rear end to the zone. He's NEVER hit me for 80, and his Battleworn Cantine is sadly useless to me(someone killed him, I looted him). This guy never hits for 80. Maybe I'm just lucky?

The canteen is part of the Disciple Symbol of Brell Serilis quest. You need the canteen, water preserved hops and some magic kithicor barley and you can get a bunch of Brell's Holy Ale. Of course ya need to speak wit hone of my dwarven drinkin buddies, Taldrik Stumpystout to know the rest. After our last keg killin sessions he got a little disoriented and wandered off. Rumor has it he's someplace in the oasis.

31 druid - root DoT (crud and immolate), rinse, repeat.

He hits hard tho. Wiped out our group the first time, and aggros when green.

I killed his buddy this morning too who has a second piece for the disciple symbol quest. Same tactics, this one can be found not far from the battlemaster. just the back room,(not far back) in a group of skeles. he's the dark brown one. Undead brewer is alot weaker, estimate 700hps or less I guess. Took the turning of unnatural and one banish undead.

Back to oasis to turn the stuff in and a rat sandwich. Man the things a cleric dwarf has to do just to turn one summoned water into 40 holy brews. bah! hehe

Well as a level 32 pally i coned him for the first time (never seen him before)....hey green why not prolly drops something good boom

so i run root him begin to blast him with 94dd undead and kep on doing this, eventually mana runs out hes about half health, so I melee a bit with a velium short sword not alot of damage but took him to 1/4 then i began to run some druid roots him a cleric gives me resolution and the druid gives me an 8dmg shield, didnt help much kept meleeing till death, resolution helped but could prolly take him with clarity

ok my friend guinness a lvl 35 warrior fought this guy and got creamed, he conned even at lvl 35 to him, me being a lvl 52 paladin and nearby came running to unrest when he sent me a tell, torklar was green to me he seemed about equal in power level to a hill giant, he dropped a no drop cantine and also dropped a hammer that was no drop it wasnt bad just wasnt very good either. when i log in next i'll get the stats on the hammer and post here also got a cool screen shot of him getting his butt kicked and weilding the hammer.

I was in an 18-24 group (i was a 21 enchanter at the time). We accidentally pull him and, well, everything between him and the back door (he was red to me, so he was probably level 24). We only managed to kill him and a couple ghouls before having to run. I was the only casualty (I was within range of the last mez to go off, once it broke everything aggroed on me).
Now, since so many people have said that they have had a lot of trouble with just him, I may as well tell you our "brilliant" strategy (for the record, none of us were twinks). A pair of tanks (24 warr, 21 pally) melee him while a cleric (20, i think) keeps them somewhat healthy. The necromancer's pet (18 necro) meleed, too, but was hardly significant. I mezzed the entire group (Researched level 16 spell, AoE mez--you'd be surprised how many people didn't know there was an AoE mez at 16) within 2 attempts, then started casting on the battlemaster--tash, disempower, ebbing strength, then chain stuns (whirl). It took a little while to drop him, but we did (I am estimating 28 seconds, since I had just re-cast the mezes).

It seems to me that too many groups rely on the strength of tanks alone to kill stuff. I single-handedly incapicitated about 15 dark boned skeletons/ghouls (and a whole bunch of yard trash, too), without even using up 10% of my mana. As I was taught by my friends: melee classes take the glory, casters make sure they live to do so.

Now that I have shared my little anecdote (and hopefully increased the demand for enchanters in groups), I may as well share with you what somebody else already has:

These two items are for the new Disciple Symbol of Brell Serilis quests. They are only of use to gnome and dwarf clerics.

This is kuldawen the ranger here i am lvl 16 and he beat the livin daylights out of me but luckily someone left his body for me to loot what is the canteen used for?

All I have to say about this guys is this : He's a pain in the A$$. Level 30 Warrior and level 28 Warrior both with full health and buffs from a 29 cleric couldn't take him out. I had a very hard time even hitting him. He never hit the 28 warrior until I ran with 1 bub of health left. Then he proceeded to tear up the 28 warrior. I'm glad we had sow potions to help us run to zone fast. I was happy to see LOADING, PLEASE WAIT.....

A lvl 34 Ranger and Pally couldnt take this guy out, he doubles for 80 and. they got him down to about half health when they had to run. This guy should be able to be takken out easily with a cleric tough

I, a 26th level Paladin, pulled Torklar outside to where my mates, a 24th level Druid, and a 27th level Shaman, where waiting. He beat me down to about 40% hits on the long pull through the house. Once we got him outside and the Shaman had him slowed, it was a long fight, but we eventually prevailed. I was OOM from casting Ward, and our Druid was OOM from healing me, but we had what it took to finish him. He conned blue to me.

My pally lvl 39 coudln't take him. Mt druid lvl 35 got smoked. Needless to say a warrior 1/2 elf in crafted gear wielding a sap of piety and a screaming mace smoked this fool. Droped a useless canteen, and gave me 1/2 a blue. Yea he conned me green. I think that it just goes to show that it takes more then standing there, casting spells and hoiping someone will come along to save talentlessness. Please. And still yet antother quest that a warrior cannot profit from.

First off I have spent a great deal of time in Unrest, it's my favorite old world dungeon. Anyway, I have seen this guy drop a level 40 Pally w/GhoulBane FH/FM. I have seen him take an entire party of fairly decent level 30 characters and I have seen him get owned by a level 24 cleric. Something is really, really odd with this guy. BTW All three times, he conn'd green to me at level 31.
