Yea, he resists a lot. Conned blue to me at 25. Resisted all root. I have to say as long as someone else was tanking he seemed vulnerable to DISMISS UNDEAD (Ward undead line) He hits hard, and very fast. I had to zone, and de agro... run back in and nuke him before he went back int he home, run and de-agro... heal myself and so on. By the way I DONT THINK he had the hammer and was still hitting for about 80. I think an enchanter debuffing might be good.

ya BTW root n nuke is a biach on him i a 45wiz got root resisted like 8 times before runin for me life to zone..o well zoned back in an finished him since i nuke for half his hp
This big translucent dwarf peaked my interest when one of the typical Unrest trains went by. Since he was light blue to me at 31, I figured I'd give him a couple whacks with my Ghoulbane and be looting him in minutes. Suddenly, ouch! This guy is hitting me for 80hps! I bolted out of there, bearing the mental scar of running from a light blue.
A few days later when I happened upon some level 57 cleric buffs from a kind friend, I decided to see if this dwarf was really all that tough. I pulled him outside where we could duke it out one-on-one. With my Ghoulbane undead proc and Instrument of Nife proc triggering several times, I was making a serious dent in this Big Little Guy. However those 80hp blows just added up and he quickly went through my 1700+ hps (cleric buffs), so I rooted and healed up, but eventually still had to Lay Hands. All said and done, I think he went through about 2500 HPs of mine including the heals, the buffs, and the Lay Hands. He finally went down and dropped both the canteen and the battlehammer.
Looking back and reading some posts, I think the smarter way to handle him would have been to root and nuke with a little fear mixed in. Although I didn't handle this the best way, it was fun stuff that I'll remember for quite some time.

i 30 druid, didnt have much trouble at all, snare, dot, root blam blam, he died, whats all the fuss about???? and wht the heck are his loots good for???

I killed him at lvl 30 by chaining, dotting, and bellowing. I got hit maybe 2-3 times on resists for 50-80 pts a shot. He ran eventually and then dropped easily. I ended up with 3/4 health. Not sure what drops are for. Lots of hps this one.

Can some one say UNDER CON! Was blue to me at 23. i had a 25 ranger an 18 wizard and a 22 ranger.
He killed the wizard, and the 28 ranger rather fast, i zoned once, then ran back in to finish him. he had the 22 raner down to 1 bub of hp, so i LoH to her. Doing this of coarse caught his attention. He smacked me around pretty well, but we still took him! Loot sucked tho

he conned yellow to me at lvl 19 whiped out my group as i expected...i gave him another visist at lvl 30 or 31 i forget i whooped his *** he took me down to 2 bubs when he started to run happty o got revenge on this sob lol)

This past weekend i was on a raid in unrest when i saw this guy floating around with a hammer...He was light blue and i was level 30 so almost everything in the zone dropped easily...Well i figured what the heck i would take him and see what that hammer could do..As i said before i am level 30 and i have 1347hp...he was constantly throwing in shots for 80s...it was crazy....but him being at a little under half and me going berserk, i thought i should zone. I was gonna stick around and see if i could cripple first...Good thing i did, i got off 3 crippling blows the first with my centi shortsword for 116...nice my new high..then the next series of attack from me another cripple for 124...new high again..i was begining to like this, also a passing cleric healed me for a little under 80 so i could take at least another shot or two..so i pull out my Jarsath Battle Sword...haha it is slow but oh well...and bam..another crip..for 235...i was feelin nice right then becuase that is th highest i have ever hit...and it was enough to finish this guy...man he is friggin hard...but oh well...sorrry about all the periods guys, and i know my grammar isn't right..but oh well, you will get over it. Great fight for me, and those cripples made me happy i had a warrior, even though i still suck

I have 1300ish hit points with skin like steel on. I had my damage shields up and was at half mana at the time I ran into him. He immediately started hitting me in the 50-80's fairly quickly so I coned him quickly and saw that he was green. So I stood my ground with my Wurmslayer and Centi Short sword. We were taking each other down at about the same rate so I thought change of plans. I backed into the hallway and tryed to snare him(wouldn't stick)so I shot a root off it stuck. I then backed off and quickly memmed my mighty DD spell careless lightning lol 99dd. No sooner had I stood up he broke root so I rooted again hit him twice for 198hp damage I was at just over 1 bubble of life at the time and he was but a sliver so with the little mana I had left I healed myself twice for 180hp which gave me roughly 2 bubbles of life I stepped up to him and finished him off. Got the hammer,canteen and an ivory. Well he was under coned. But if you really want to see an under con go try to take down Corduth in IC LOL LOL. He's a lvl 5 turttle I guarantee that you couldn't solo at lvl 60 check it out. Crazy.

I got him last night and thought...okie easy kill. Root,ensnare,dot dot boom...and then that just got him to half life!!! I couldnt believe it.
So i sat down to med a little while my dot's did there thing and he broke free and hit for 80 a couple of times..so I ran and zoned and med up..came back and finished him off. This guy is a bad mama jama,hehe.

He is indeed a tough one, but not impossible to kill. I killed him with no big problems with my 46 necro. Beat the crap outta my poor pet, but I managed to keep him healed enough to finish the job. Dropped the canteen. Anyone know what it's for exactly? Curious now. Thanks

I was exploring here today and accidentally got aggroed by a dark bone skeleton. I ran outside the house and waited for him to follow. After almost a full minute he came out with this guy on his tail. I immediately turned and ran to zone where I could fight with my druid backing me up. I started to kill him and I couldn't hit him at all with my weapon. I missed every single attack. Every once in a while instrument of nife proc'd and it did 223 damage to him, but for the most part the DS that I had did all of the damage. I healed myself a lot with my druid, and finally had to use LoH's. After I got my health back I started using expulse undead and that helped. I'm level 30, this guy was turqoise to me, I'd say he's a bit of an undercon. If I ever fight him again, I'll probably just root him and nuke him, and not bother with melee. I'm not sure if I was just having really bad luck or if he has insane defensive skills, but it didn't really go well. I can't believe I used LoH's on a turqoise MOB.

me druid girl was powerlevling some guildies here and i was bored so went to play with greenies for awhile :) came upon this guy, he con green...i thought, ok undead victim of me wurmy...well so happens that it was going well untill he got about halfway, then he just startin to kick me little ranger butt, now i know me cant take many hits so its why i always snare, but it just wouldnt hit him...resist resist resist resist...im level 42, this thing is kicking my butt...so i ran to me druid friend got a heal and of course it follow, np..killed it, but OMG come VI, thats just nuts
was full health too, even regn and all me ranger buffs
watch out all, this thing best be left alone if it cons blue, even green

I logged on as a lvl 47 cleric (naked save a cheesy low dmg 2hb) and I had a little trouble with him- (not much) and he's green green green to me

So...you melee'd him? Hmmm, I find that hard to believe. My Cleric has offense of 198, and 1hb in the 180's...Fully outfitted, and I couldn't tank this guy. Keep the jokes coming, love reading them from peeps like you.

The guy that posted that the cleric tanked this guy....Clerics dont have spells anymore? If he is lvl 47 he could of easly root...DD,DD,DD...Root repeat. Boom. Easy killI flunked english.

He didn't say he meleed him,just that a 2hb was the only equipment he had on. He never mentioned HOW he killed it. I love reading things like this from people like you

Saw a lvl 29 necro goin at it with him, necro had him to about 1/2 hpts and was askin for help. So I let loose a root, he res's, I hit him for full dam nuke (172), he kills the necro and comes after me, I had sow so I backed off and rooted again, this time it stuck, but just long enough to land another nuke, tried 2 more roots befor I lost him and he poped on top of me. Only reson I made it out was the sow. So a 29 necro with pet and a 25 wiz got 2/3 of his hpts, and he was blue to me.

Im a 26th rung Monk and like to think that i can do some good damage against blues. I went in there with haste and a nice hp shield that put me up to 780 HPs, 165 Agi, And about 600 AC. I have PSU, dual wield at 187 and h2h at 135 all other stats maxed to lvl. to make it short, this mob hit me for 981 total pts while i managed to hit for just over 50.....
I am taking this up with a GM now to see if they can change his con...should be at least yello if not red to 26.

I am a 32nd paladin and have fought the Battle master a few times. Apparently he seems to have several different level spawns. Once I took him down easily at lvl 26, but last night at 32, I attempted, even as he conned green. After successfully removing less than 1/4 of his HP, I was forced to use Lay Hands, and brought him down to just less than half. Now someone posted a message saying that if someone at 30 can't beat this guy they should delete their character. Hmmm... Well, I'd like you to keep in mind that I have an ac of nearly 700, atk close to the same , as well as all my stats being maxed within 10 mins of each new lvl. I wield a Light Velium Claihdmore, which if you are familiar with it, then you will know it deals some serious dmg in a very rapid manner (I will usually deal more dmg than the wars in a group). Not only did I hit for very little on this guy, but I also missed so much I was screaming foul epithets at the screen! I would definately have SoW when trying to pick a fight with this guy. You might be able to take him, because apparently he fluctuates in intensity, but I would definately suggest a group for a late night venture when the zone is empty. All I have seen him drop is the battleworn canteen, presumably for a quest.

A paladin at level 32 should slaughter this guy. I left Unrest at level 29 and had solo'ed him many times. Yes, he can sometimes spawn as a weakling (relatively speaking), and sometimes as a ridiculously hard green mob, and yes, I sometimes had to zone when things went wrong, but it was entirely possible to solo him in the mid-20's. When he carries the hammer, he seems to be much tougher though.
But, at level 30 we get Instrument of Nife (procs a 230dd versus undead), and a 6 second stun. To go toe-to-toe for a whole battle is suicide. Use the brain a warrior wasn't given and employ your mana into the equation. Fear his undead **** all over the zone - it only costs us 10 mana and lands frequently. If he's running too fast, stun him. Run behind him and bash him for an extra stun. Use a fast weapon and he'll go down in two or three procs.
As a master fletcher, I make magic arrows (cost about 10pp for three stacks of basic magic arrows) and have made a sweet Shaped Shadewood Compound Bow (cost me almost 3K to successfully make one; 200 range, 21dam/29dly). My arrows hit for 24+, and they do so quite rapidly. If Verant would raise the paladin Archery skill cap to over 75, I'd be doing even more damage. If you are low on mana, root him and pelt him with arrows from far away. Heck, if you are REALLY low on mana, flash him and let the arrows do the rest.

Just my 2cp but I think the point that guy was making about deleting your character if you can't solo this guy at 30, if taken in context, was that with a pally it should be done with undead spells and keep it away from you as much as possible. Seems that if a druid and cleric can do it, that is the trick. Druid would snare and dot, cleric would easily use their powerful undead spells and root to keep it at a distance.
If you go toe to toe with this thing expect to have lots of damage done to you.

Hello fellow Norrathians! You all probably know by now but I am here to warn all about this dude. As a 30 pally, using Lay Hands, I could not kill this guy. Do NOT attempt to fight him even with a group in 20's. His lev is ACTUALLY seeming more to be like 35, and he seems to regen quickly too. I just don't want anyone to get as slaugtered as I did when i tried at both level 25 and 30. Also, the axe is for a warrior quest, and the canteen is for a dwarven cleric quest. Well that is it and good luck to you all. Next time i'm on Faydwer i'll have to go get some revenge )

I have a lvl 29 Druid, and i just fought this guy 4 times, SOLO.. had no problem doing it at all.. made out with 3/4's of my HP left everytime..

Well...you are a druid. And a cocky one at that. How come you didn't tell us how long you had to med to be able to DOT/nuke to keep up with his regen? Get over yourself dr00d. Druids are sweet characters...but not as superiour as you think. Once you grow up out of your diapers, you'll gain some respect for others. Respect is earned, not a right.

Fatty has some TT's to tango with. And, you have to get thru the ***** house (torture room) to get to em. Oh, and watch out for the FAKE lava. It is a trap if you go to the sides of it. Say hi to the Mushroom munchkins for me, they should remember mashing me.

This guy packs a punch. One lvl 28 pally took torklar on, it conned light blue to him, pally was dying quick, i casted lay hands on my fellow pally and he still died(This guy probably isn't so good at fighting as everyone now sees). Torklar's cousin(not really cousins) Garanel is much harder and so far out of all the fights i've seen with either of these guys have been death to the melee player characters, if they do live its from someone else healing the pcs.
The peeps that are killing Garanel or Torklar seem to be most of the time tiny wolfies or wolves and seem to DoT(damage over time) these ghosts and root them. Then i guess they med while the ghost(s) are taking damage and are rooted.
This seems like the best strategy, even though i'm guessing these casters are at least somewhere around lvl 30 for torklar. My guess is that 4 lvl 19s couldn't take on this guy.

i was a 35 cleric when i took this guy out. he was hitting me for around 80 or 90, and root took a few tries but i finally got him. i used undead spells (of course) and took him out with 5 nukes of expel undead. he was not easy to defeat, and actually aggroed on me. he dropped hammer, and battleworn canteen. if there is a quest pertaining to this item please add to my post, i'l like to know.

Ok here is the trick to killing him is pretty easy if your a pally or a cleric (pally needs to be 30) ok fear undead him then root cuz sumtimes it takes awhile to root him and so far i have been able to fear him in the first one or two times. oh be shure to to pull him outside while doing this then after you get the root down nuke the hell outta him and fear him before you run outta mana that way while your med'n for more and your root wears off you have enough time to get another root on him. and repeat till dead.

hello fellow norrathians! ohh back to my story. I was lvl 14 killing the undead around the entrence when a lvl 60 druid walks in. She told me to wait here and if i healed her, she would let me loot the corpes. i said ok thinking i was goona have to heal like mad, but when she pulled a goast i wasnt spuprised that i didnt need to heal her once. well, he dropped the cantine, some jade, and toklor's battle hammer or somitn. it was like 6 28 1hb and no drop lore any imfo about it would be nice. sebus, galabas, 14th season

Torklar is very underconned. However i am looking for more information on the axe. I have searched all over EQ. The canteen is for a Dwarven Cleric Quest and the Axe is for the warrior quest. It is turned in somewhere in the warrior guild.
