...the robe, stale oleander, uncut morganite for us tonight, 11/22/09 on quellious. My 82 monk was sitting back practicing his throwing while a 67 Pally tanked. Had the monk's healer merc out just in case. Efficient was WAY more than enough healing. Easy, just a long fight. Great throwing practice.
Took 70 Ranger, 70 Shaman, 2 Warrior Mercs + Shaman's pet 48 mins to kill, does not die easily, but thankful he doesn't hit hard either..surprised that so high hitpoints on a human..
So I was in the underwater cave looking for some liche action...but didn't find any...but I did see this guy. Conned him and he was a yellow KOS mob, I shrugged pulled out my tank mob and set to this guy...yeah, that was the wrong thing to do, I probably fought him for about 15 minutes and he was still only 99%, lol, I was down to 60% and my merc was down to about 70%, (he took turns handing out damage.) At this point I was like screw that, and started running. About 5 minutes later, my merc died and he was at 98% and I was near hole in the frozen river. So yeah, promised myself I would take a look here and see if there was info on him and there is...and it seems accurate, after seeing he had 2 million HPs, I was both surprised, ( I mean he's only lvl 61!!!) and not suprised. So yeah...
I started parsing this guy at around 80%. Did 1.6 million pts of dmg over 17 mins before he was dead. He definately has around 2 million hps. He dropped a Sr Red Apprentice Robe* ~ uber...
Useless Facts for those that are bored provided by Wychang Khane, Bristlebane.
I was roaming in the area checking the tunnels out and went to con him and pet went down and then it didn't take me very long to follow. 56 agnostic mage. Can i get a Rez 8)
Sulon McMoor was one of Miragul's acolytes. He shouldn't be on Vox or Naggy faction, so I haven't figured out that yet. He was responsible for releasing the 'Blight' on the various towns of the barbarians and is dedicated to finding a way of completing his masters unsuccesful transformation into a lich in the hope that Miragul, who previously distanced Sulon due to his over-ambitious personality, would renew his lessons and share the reward of true immortality.
Sulon was originally a child of two wool merchants of West Karana who were quite wealthy and were able to afford him an education. However Sulon's interests lied with the art of magic. His father disputed this with him on several occasions but the argument ended when the plague (from beta) killed his parents. During this time Sulon discovered the cult of bertoxxulous and also that of Miragul's work. Sulon tried to locate miragul for seven years but he was unsuccesful, fortunately Miragul's agents in turn located him and he was taken on as an apprentice.
Sulon, after his masters transformation was forced into a pact by the Glass Spectres and Dreamreapers and was rewarded with some extended life however he is now very old and coming to the end of his lifetime. He is much weaker than he once was and is assumed to have only a few years left to live.
All of this information can be found in EQRPG - Everfrost Peaks. No doubt a quest will be involved like some of the other npcs present from the EQRPG universe in EQLive but I don't believe anyone has found anything as yet.
This guy was wandering (of all places) the ramp to Halas near the zone line. I saw a lvl 70 Warrior engaged with him and Sulon at about 98%. I decided my comrad wasn't going to zone on him so I decided to join the fight. It took us in a straight melee fight about an hour and a half to beat him down. At the end we had gained a lvl 70 Cleric and another younger warrior who was just looking for some fun.
Sulon cast a debuff and soon took my comrad's Conviction. No problem though since he was 14K+ HPs and 2700+ AC without many buffs. I had 10.2K and 1800 AC. We both resisted all spells Sulon threw at us except the Debuff and Summon. My MR was 300+. Sulon hit for anywhere between 80-328 he hit most commonly around 220 and rather rapidly.
I believe this guy has well over 2 million HPs. And, I figure, it took about an hour and a half to finish him because we had used disc Mighty Strike, on a 30 minute timer, 3 times and Savage Onslaught over and over probably better than 10 times.
To add some DPS we trained him on the 2 Halas guards who don't like him and they added probably 175 points per hit rapidly x2 guards.
In the end, he dropped a Red Sr. Apprentice Robe. AC 6? / WIS 1. nothing else but the fight was interesting in that it gave you time to switch weapons and figure out how to best maximize your DPS out put.
We did not loot him and left his corpse laying on the ramp. He just needed killing,he has a nasty reputation. I once met him doing the same thing some 15 lvls ago (I'm now lvl 70) and well PAY BACK IS SWEET !

I snuck behind him (sets faction to indifferent while mobs don't see you, so slightly different to invis, cos you can talk to people while sneaking) and hailed him... he didn't say a word, so I tried killing him, but apparently has ALOT of hp, lol.
I decided to take my frustrations out on next npc I saw, unfortunately for Martar Icebear.
was wandering in the area with my pet, saw this guy standing there... Dark blue to a 63 mage. hailed him, and got rooted and dispelled for my trouble. after a critical blast (4600+) barely knocked his health down, (maybe 1%) i decided that discretion was the better part of valor.
HA! Just soloed this punk last night- about 2 hours of fighting this bum as a 70/624AA Beastlord. He's almost completely MR; I only got the occasional lifetap proc from my weapons to land- and even that was kinda rare. Funny thing- he doesn't start running until 0%. A side note: he dispells and will strip 2 or 3 buffs at a time off of you. My parser said he took just short of 2 million hp! o.0 If you have nothing to do for awhile... get your kill on!
Took him down two nights ago with a 66 warrior, 66 cleric, 65 necro, 66 druid, 68 enchanter and a 67 ranger. Took us about 2 hours, with the ranger working on 2hb for her epic 1.5 (ie..not doing dps worth a damn) lol. Cleric never dipped below 90 mana. Slow landed with not much trouble, magic resist was fairly low. Disease, Poison and Cold were 100% resisted with every attempt. Fire landed about 50% of the time. Dire charmed Ice Giant helped a bit. Dropped a crappy robe.
ps...REMOVE the damn Clear form button, that's what ctrl-a and delete are for. Anyone else ever accidentally click it and erase everything you just typed? LOL
I am a dwarf 46 cleric - was hanging out with my 20 barbarian shaman friend on a quest he was working on. Shaman was way up ahead of me and I round the corner just in time to see the Shaman blown away with one hit. I conned him from way down the hall. He was of course red and wanted to kill me.
I was able to drag his corpse back and rez him. There was an ice goblin in the room also and my friend thought it was part of his quest. He went in invisible [cloudy potion] and killed the goblin, then of course was no longer invisible, but nothing happened.
Though I was might leary he convinced me to bring him another potion. So I took my last two potions - drank one and went to him and gave him the other and left. We were both VERY close to this guy when all this happened. He looted his goblin and then reappeared, then left quickly -- but lived also. I am guessing he will only kill you if you con him[?] -- and only from up close.
Somehow this guy got loose. He wound up in the newbie area and the guards at the ramp ( both 40s is believe ) tried to kill him. After about 30-45 minutes he succeeded in killing the guards ( they are loaded with HP ) then walked out. I followed him and about half way out of the newbie area I decided I'd con him to see what lvl he was. ( bad idea ) I'm a lvl 55 warrior with, at the time, AC 1065, and ATK 1035. I made no move to attack him but got summoned and he proceeded to whip my butt. With just, at the time 3800+ HP, I hit MR disc and resisted everything he cast on me but his 300+ hits did me in. This is not the first time he got loose I'm told. So if you see him stay clear and don't con him. For some reason he is an angry fella.

He got pulled over near the ldon camp a couple days ago. When I saw him, an ENORMOUS mob of peeps from all lvls had gathered and were beating the him senseless. I, a 36 pally at the time, joined in when he was at 3/4 health. 30min. of chaos and chasing him around the camp area later, McMoor was , and he didn't drop a damn thing. Completely worthless kill for me, but a damn fun fight.
Well 5 of us on Inny decided to take this guy out for fun.Group was 65 Warrior, 65 Shammy, 65 Ranger, 62 Wizard and 55 Shammy. It took over 4 hours to kill and dropped a Red Sr Apprentice Robe which I now will "show off" at our raids. LOL. I thought he was a Enchanter since he did cast a mind stun on me...
alot of bored adventurers took him out on TM server... hes on vox and naggy faction and took between 45min and 1 hour to kill... tons and tons of hp.... Sakii 64 Grandmaster Tarew Marr
My guild was waiting on the Lich for a guildmate today to spawn and this guy killed our shaman. We decided to take his butt out. Our guildmates present were: 58 war (came at about 75%), 62 dru, 65 shm, 65 clr, 57 war, 55 war, 57 wiz, 61 necro, 65 ench, 60 pal, 52 wiz, 65 bard, 62 war, 65 clr, 65 rng, 65 war, 57 wiz, 61 dru, 65 shm, 62 wiz and a few friends 65 ench, 65 bst, and a 65 rng (yeah we know this is way overkill for Lich but hes a guildmate y'know). Well the fight took well over 30min I would say (some think over 1 million HPs).
Just an FYI to anyone reading this...I was working on my last piece of the Staff of the Wheel, and I ended up running into the same room as this guy while trying to get away from the Lich of Miragul. I was invised and I conned indifferent to him. Not sure what his purpose is, but he stands there all day and buffs himself (just like any other casting NPC, though I bet he's interrupted far less than most), so I'm guessing it would be a major undertaking to try to take him out. On a side note, I successfully "hid" by the farthest wall in his room and waited out the Lich's pathing until the Lich left and I was able to go and retrieve my final rod.
Even the DE Necro was KoS to him. Resisted slow from slow hammer (Truncheon of Doom) 4x. Had a damage shield on him. Dark blue to the 65, and the 62. Dispelled my Virtue Hit the pet for 336 at one point. Druid had to continuously heal. He has a 750hp DD with stun. War was resisting Markar's Discord spell. War was getting hit for up to about 340hp with 1270ac. Got obvious he wasn't gonna die when it was at 99% after 5 druid mini-Ch's, and had to evac.
After reading some of Miragul (the most powerful Necromancer ever...) I figure this guy must be here to either find a way to get Miragul back, or to loot his library for his knowledge.
Aside from being "slightly easier to kill than Mayog Mistmoore", does he have a pupose?
Are Necromancers KOS to him too?
Also, if this guy is now 60+, and the Lich of Miragul is ALSO 60+ now, it could go along with the storyline by saying that both of them are getting much more powerful for some dark purpose...
Also, if he drops a Senior Apprentice Robe, maybe that makes him Miragul's apprentice?
I'd like to know what he's up to as well. Anyone not KoS to this dude? Maybe he's just really mad at certain Deities lol. Seems silly to have a wizard GM in the middle of no where.
Very Red to me. Of course just a 35th Bard. But he didnt attack and I didnt go after him. I was solo and just testing the tracking spell I just got. Need a large and high group for this one and judging what I have read, not really worth it. But up to you. Good luck.. I am getting my tail out of here... Be well, stay cool, my friends
i am just in front of him atm on my other computer ... i am lvl 53 pally ... may be verant changed his lvl now ... he cons red to me ... i may get a HL friend to better know his lvl
he's yellow to 60, hits for 350s, completely immune to magic that I tried. Could not slow even with Plague of Insects. Dropped a *Sr Apprentice Robe, grats Knayilye! ;)
I was in the Caves last night, and we saw him, and he conned yellow to a level 60. He had killed me once before and hits for 250-350. He ain't no joke. When we were leaving his area, the Lich of Miragul got my friend, and he isn't in the 40's either. The 60 stated he could not beat him, and then he left me, alone, in the caves. Took me an hour or so to get the corpse and get out. I hear Lich is level 64. So post under mine are wrong. Sulon will no longer be yellow to a level 49.
This guy is lvl 58+ probably lvl 60 - 62. He used to be only lvl 47 and lvl 50 people could solo him because he didn't cast. Now he could probably kill you in 5 rounds at lvl 55 if you ran into him, less if you are a caster.
I don't know how hard he hits because I honestly did not want to find out. Just stay away from this guy, he is at least lvl 58 and kos to everyone.
We had a GM event last night on Solusek Ro server he was red to me at 54, hit for 355 max, 100% magic resist even in melee range. We had about 30 to 40 lvl 45+ and he finally dropped with bout 5 people standing still. ONE TOUGH MO FO the GM that did the even said he is "slightly easier than Mayong Mistmoore" hehe he only drops that sr appr robe. Fun event even though the reward for event was lacking (fs weapon, serp bracer and 40pp) it was still alot of fun.
At least, not anymore. My guild on Cazic-Thule, the Steel Wind, fought him tonight and he conned red to a lvl 57. He was hitting for 250-350, and had dragon-level hit points. Our reward for killing him was an exquisite Senior Apprentice Robe. :)
If this guy is a senior apprentice, I don't want to meet his master...
Since there's only ONE human wizard I've found on the Everfrost Plains, I'd like to clear up a few things. First of all, he IS a quest npc. This is where wizard's begin their quest for staff of wheel. If you're KOS to him then your good faction sucks. Everybody starts out beta-neutral to him, too.
I've been up to him at least 3 times and he's always conned indifferent. However, I will say I'm at an impass as I have completed the quest but he will not now take the things I had to collect.
I was wandering the caves and came upon Sulon. While camo-ed, he conned indifferent to me--so travelling invis isn't a bad idea. That or he doesn't mind wood-elf druids peeking around.
My guild decided to see how tough this guy was. We had two full groups of lvl 40+. he went down fast, never casted a single spell. We were all a little disappointed at how easy he was. He conned yellow to me when I was 49.
Dude, you don't know what you are talking about. If you were 49 then he would con solid red bro. He is dark blue to me at 65 and i can tell you that if i could only take him down 1% before i had to fd then all your lvl 40's + couldn't take him on. What an idiot!
Dont be such an a$$hat. The guy posted that the years ago, any reasonably intelligent person could draw the conclusion that he's been changed in the last three years
yeah, the 100's days are over, I am a 43 druid, ce cons red. I got a little too close and took a single punch for 350, I had sow and didn't care to discuss the matter any further with him. I think he was aggroed by me killing the diver in the room with him, 'cause I thought I was far enough away.
So I doubt he is a wizard guildmaster ;)There are lots of "regular" NPCs that hit for 356 actually, compared to them this guy is a featherweight. He hits for around 130, has lots of HPs. He is a wizard I suppose, but he doesn't cast spells during combat. I've been party to killing him twice and he only cast one spell throughout both fights, and that was nullify magic on me. He does not drop anything worth looting.
He's KOS to me, 39 dwarf cleric, but if u hug the wall u can get around him. Anyone know anything about the Goblin Diver nearby him? is it a PH for something?
Be careful if you are in the underwater caves, this guy is kos to almost everyone, i have yet to see someone who wasnt kos by him but i could be wrong.
This is the most powerful necro I have EVER been hit by. He hits in the 100 + damage range(bare hand) and double attacks duel wielding. I don't know how this is possible, but at lvl 25 he killed me barehand in under 10 seconds and he never cast one spell. Of regular NPC's only Sargent Slate, Corpral Lancot, and one or two others hit as hard as this guy.
This guy is a wizard not a necro. He's also a guildmaster for wizards. When killed he drops sr apprentice robe and gives the faction -Vox +RingsOfScale -Negfgan. Though he does buff himself like a wizard when I helped kill him he didn't cast once. It should be noted though that I was not there the entire fight and came in when he was about 1/4 of the way dead.
