At least, for me. It's been three months, off and on, waiting for Talym; he shows up just before 11 AM (game time) - didn't get the /loc, but just west of the Sayer House
Faction hits are all "worse" for aforementioned - I just don't know how bad yet.
Looted a whole-whopp'n 12S, 6C and, of course, the Barbarian Head - yippie!!
Now to turn it in to Hager (Meister)

I was sitting waiting for Tykar to pop (why may i say takes several years) and this guy just comes out of nowhere and starts trying to kill me. So i stand up and kill him in one hit and it lowers my faction with the preists of life in qeynos so now i have to go spend even more money to get my faction up. Allow me to be the first to say f&^k this guy.

Easily soloed using charm him send him on two guards at house,when they dead stop charm and beat//bellows to death.
Have only seen him in Qeynos Hills myself. Hits hard for his level but can be killed solo. The quest yields an extremely low end item but the faction hits are positive at the turn in.

This guy is always in Freeport East in the bar to the left as you get off the boat. If you hail him he tells you that if you're ever around surefall glades to say hello to Hager Sureshot. Well, I did that, and Hager wants his head. Kinda worried to kill Talym in the bar, though, with a lot of other rascals around there.

I killed Talym in the bar. He is found more often there than in SFG. I rooted him first, though, so he wouldn't wander into aggro range of anyone else. Everything in the bar was green to me at the time, which may have been what kept them from aggroing, though.

Was being my usual evil rgue self waiting for a friend to show up to help her on the opolah quest. Kill all the things that con threatiningly and ready to attack, cause they would do the same if they weren't sutch pansy B*tches. Well ran into this sucker, killed him looted the head for the fun of it(if only i could run around displaying my heads hehe). So he pops in the hills now, and real easy, don't know about the guards cause they were long dead by that time:P.

Anyone know the faction hits for killing him? Being a barbarian, I wonder about Wolves of the North faction, but all other poachers seem to be on Circle of Unseen Hands. Circle I can live without, but I like having good Wolves fac so I can sell at those convenient Barb fishing villages.
In addition, I've seen him in Fish's Ale in South Qeynos and along the path from West K to Qeynos in QHills.

Well it seems he is also in South Qeynos. Was turning in my moonstones and he came up and killed me. Which is odd because he did not kill my friend that was with me. We both play necros so the only thing I can think of is I have taken a faction hit somewhere

Freeport East, eh? weird, i saw this guy in Qeynos Hills, just wanderin around. he asked me to say hi to Hager Sureshot if i went to Surefall. I tried, nothing happened. oh, well, whatever. was a 6th level ranger at the time, on Zebox.
