Jennus Lyklobar  

He does spawn and he's a roamer. When I first tracked him down he was in the center of Skyfire IN the lava lake heading east. He went to 239, -1470, -147 and stopped. This seems to be a path point for several roaming mobs. As my ranger stood there waiting for my mage to show up several mobs stacked on top of him.

He stayed there for maybe a minute then headed straight west again towards the center of Skyfire. At this point my mage showed up and hailed him so I'm certain what his patrol route is but I'd imagine if you don't have a tracker you should be able to stand close to that LOC and he'll show up.

My wife and I found Jennus near the center of the map where the rivers intersect. He was standing there buffing. Location was +1500 +1165 -160. He spawned within 24 hours of the server merge. He was also light blue to a 75. She tracked him with her ranger and then logged in her 55 mage so we could do the turn ins. I hailed him and while I was busy nuking everything in the zone he kept trying to walk away. Good Luck.

He is still in game. found him easy with ranger track but he roams. Had to have someone tag along until mage logged back in.

We were in the City of Mist hunting Black Reavers for my Wife who needed a Jade Reaver, (a big battleaxe looking thing). I also had my Level 58 Mage in case the Mage quest item dropped. We ended up getting both the Jade Reaver and the Mage quest item, torch of the elements. For those non-mages the torch of the elements is one of the items required to get the Mage Epic 1.0. The torch of the elements is a rare drop and it is only dropped by a Iksar ghost who only spawns after you kill a black reaver from the highest tower in the City of Mist.

As part of the Mage Epic 1.0 quest you have to take the Torch of the elements, The Blazing wand, and the Burning embers, to a little gnome named Jennus. Jennus resides in Skyfire.

I enlisted the help of my Wife's ranger who tracked Jennus to where he was standing, INSIDE a wall of rock. I was able to target him and gave him the three items. To my horror, I did not get the element of fire. I hasty re-read of the turn in instructions as well as hailing Jennus again indicated I also had to give Jannus the Power of the Orb, which is a scroll looking thing. I had the Power of the Orb in my Bank but I was in Skyfire, What to do? The Wife's ranger kept hailing Jennus and I bound myself in the tunnel to Skyfire from the Overthere. Then I ran back to the POK book in the Overthere and went to Doogle Bank. (I am KOS in the Overthere due to killing Rottgrime as another part of the Epic 1.0 quest) Once I had the Power of the Orb I gated back to Skyfire and ran to Jennus. I was able to give him the Power of the Orb and get my Element of Fire item. In all this time Jennus was sitting INSIDE the wall of rock. Jennus did NOT have a pet with him, so sense summoned did not work to locate him.

FYI, you will NEED a tracker to find Jennus as he seems to have a liking for standing inside of solid objects.

The reason I made the mistake of not having the forth item on me was that all of the other Mage Epic 1.0 turn ins are 3 item turn ins. The element of fire is ths only 4 item turn in among the 4 elements, earth, fire, water and air. The Power of the Orb is a farily lengthy but not too hard sub quest. I had done it so long ago and put the result in my bank, that I had forgotten it was required for the element of fire turn in.

I tried to find him for 2 days now with and without a tracker.
So I petitionned.
- First GM told me the NPC hasn't spawned on AB since april or so and gave me....Red Sr Apprentice Robe* in reimbursement. And didn't make him spawn. I was shocked, lol.
- Second GM told me this NPC didn't spawn anymore and I had to /Bug him.
- /bug didn't give me any answer (1 day now)

My point is don't lose your time petitionning if you cannot find him, use the /bug command

I saw him wandering by the small lava lake, by the lava rivers the other day, just kept going back and forth.

I had a druid buddy track him for my mage alt he found him ,when i got there he was at /loc +826, +4215

Ok for fun i followed this guy for about a half an hour. And have made a little map of where he stopped while following him. He does seem to just randomly roam the zone though.

Anyway heres the Map His roaming range is HUGE though so he will be a tough bugger to find without a tracker.

EDIT: Forgot to mention he will swim straight through the lava pools and he stopped in one once for about a minute.

1 am EST On August 8th (My birthday woot!) Had a full group of 6 people (2 trackers. others along for the ride) we were tracking from around 11:30 just killing random mobs, running around and checking track. haha officer from my guild came at just about 1 am and poof! Jennus appeared on track! Sorry to all.. No idea how he spawned but i caught him across the lava river West of Veeshan's Peak. I'd like to thank Sandoor, Knnothead, and Gimelots (Very good friends of mine), Windform (Guild leader), Cheetahh (Guild officer and my good luck charm! got him to spawn), Ezri, Judicus, Luldayen and any others i forgot! finally! my epic is done!!!

does he despawn ??? if so how long till he pops or is he triggered???

Have been here all day looking .. any idea if he depsawns after turning in the items? There are two of us looking for him

I had the same issue with someone trying to MQ the torch for me. We both hailed him and told him I have come for the element of fire but he would not take the torch. Sent a petition to see what a GM says but not expecting much.

I am thrilled and happy to report that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this mob. He works exactly the way he should. BOTH turn ins [the last 2 times] *I* took the power of the orb with me but neglected to give it to him. I was so nervous that I didn't read the directions clear enough, and completely missed the last phrase of the epic piece turn in which clearly states "after you turn those 3 items in also hand him the power of the orb ..." blah blah blah and vuala. I was fortunate enough to get back 2 of the 3 items I lost from the GM's [god bless their little hearts] and I had to kill neh for the torch AGAIN but I got it. Found Jen after 30 minutes of searching with no track in skyfire, turned it in and presto, skittle stick.

Lesson of the day? read the epic quests slowly..very slowly.

I zoned into Sky from OT and there he was right by the ZI :)

I found out that he does not spawn till 48 hours after servers come up from a reset or patch. GM told me he was spawning correctly so I know this is true.

I found him in the north west area wondering around. He was wondering from the west wall to around the middle of the north wall. He went a little south in and made a big box basicly. Wondering on the back of the hill behind VP. Box was from succor point to north wall area (not completly to the wall, but out about 1/3 the distance to the hill behind VP). Then east to the middle of the north wall (A little before half, but close enough). Then south till about even with the succor point. Then west again to the succor point.

A tracker is a must with him. Now that I found him, my mage finally has his epic. He was the last element I needed for the final turn in. Good luck everyone.

You need a tracker to find this little pain in the butt. When I located him he was inside a rock, as many others has posted. I had a 65 monk friend throw a shuriken at him and pull him out, he then FD'd and I ran to hail the little pain in the butt before we got back into the rock. Just thought I would let you guys know how I did it. Good luck.

I just make a MQ of the mage epic part yesterday (6 April 2003) on Sol Ro serveur. We track and found him roaming along the west wall ; so it appear this guy have been fixed on sol ro serveur.

I tried playing with that box for a few minutes and he didnt spawn. I have been waiting on him for almost a week now. This turn in is the only thing keeping me from having the epic, please somebody post some information on his spawn time and if there is a way to make him spawn.

Jennus spawned right in front of me last night. I almost jumped out of my skin. haha

He spawned along the Western wall, then headed north following the wall.

I saw him in the NW corner of the zone tonight
