You guys say Harmonium took him out, arent they like a lvl 60 only guild? Im only lvl 30 Ranger but when i get to like 55 i want to take some of these hard ace mobs out to get the weapons better than the Swiftwind and Earthcaller

Easy? I sincerely hope you did bring a few clerics along during your, ermmm, "root and nuke" session on the Master of ToV.... or would that just make it too "easy"... P.S. does he leave behind a huge amount of loot or something? How is it that he has been shown to have so many different items. Also what are the odds of actually getting something worth your time from these raids when your odds of getting any big name items are 1 in 60 (the # of people some claim it takes to drop him.)

I just want to know how many Lvl 60 it will take to take this guy? Also what the composition of each group should be? Please give a clear response. Need to know so my guild and sister guilds can someday hunt this beast.

Vulak really is just another dragon, only bigger. You will need to work out your own strategy and die once or twice, it really is not that hard to do. You need to clear north ToV first. By the time you can clear NToV, you are not going to have that many questions about how to handle Vulak.
I WILL tell you that you are going to need about 60 to 70 players level 60, but that does not really tell the tale. You are going to need some top end equipment and some good aggro management skills that can only come with practice. In other words, stop worrying about Vulak and start worrying about the west wing (giant faction) or HoT (dragon faction) mobs that drop basic quest armor components.
There are dragons who present more difficult tactical problems, such as Aaronyar (sp?).

Sometimes when I look at the loot that this crazy guy drops, I get so frustrated 8D. Hehe, of course this is just a game but after playing it for so long and realizing that I will most likely not even get the chance to attempt to kill this crazy monster much less than actually looting it. But then on the other hand if you think about how much Everquest these people play...and the effort needed to kill Vulak'Aerr. He summons dragons to aid him if they are not dispatched first (nearly 8).
So oh well, those that have killed this guy...enjoy your loot. Final comment: what pisses ya off more? 30ac ring or 60ac caster robe?

Hmz is it just me or that sees it but this robe has AC F*CKING 60 that is the highest ac in the game (except the GM event Quenos shield with his 75AC) but well uhhh I haven't seen any warrior Items with AC of 60 or higher and they are the tanks right uhhh why give a robe to a caster with higher ac than a warrior ever can get !!!!!

Hmm... tempted to start a character on Terris-Thule to report you anyways, but I'm sure you're some adolescent who doesn't grasp the concept that each item was designed for a reason and has it's place, it just takes an eye of someone keen to see what it's true purpose is.
FYI 60ac on an int caster robe of this magnitutde... just isn't enough IMO. Look at a caster's AC at level 55+... Then think of all the times you've seen a tank die after 5 minutes of combat, and then compare it to how long a caster survived when the tank fell... See what I mean? Maybe they should raise it to 100ac... maybe even 150. I, myself, don't play a pure caster (yet... maybe someday) but playing tanks I can tell you... I'd feel more secure if my enchanter had 1000ac in knowing that when mez breaks, they can take some hits while I'm focusing on one mob.

this mobs is easy... he drops best gear and he's more easy then other mobs like Tunare...the prob is he slows your tanks...and he make a AE life tap...it's why it's long to kill it...you can slow him and the cleric spell Mark of Karn pass on this mobs !

on all the dragon/god posts, u refer to the sleeper as being the one unbeaten mob, the ultimate mob, etc... WHO IS THE SLEEPER?!?! I was wondering cuz i saw in one post someone said this guys him... SO CONFUSED... sorry, could someone clear this up for me? Thanks anyway.

The sleeper is Kerafyrm. Supposedly the offspring of Vox and Nagafen. Locked away by the other ring of scale dragons because he was too powerful and was going to destroy them. He is guarded by 4 warders in the Sleepers Tomb.
When released, he goes and rampages through a number of zones, and kills anything in its path. Kerafyrm at this time is considered unkillable. I've heard rumors of there being a quest to return the sleeper back to his tomb, but, nobody's done that yet...

FoH on Veeshan released him.....im sure After Life an Vis Maior have too. Also, i believe
that after he goes postal and wipes zones such as Skyshrine, he returns to the zone

Blood of the Spider on the rathe was the first to release him i believe, was a scary night evryone was talking about how the sleeper was going zone to zone killing everything and everyone

Dark Horizon on Zebuxoruk did the same and the server is safe... no sleeper running around killing everything in its path... of course I havent been to WW or ToV since that time... maybe a nasty thing to do to other people but just the challenge of waking the sleeper is enough to get me drooling

FYI, Magister, on the Erollisi Marr server also killed the 4th Warder, releasing The Sleeper, I believe sometime in the beginning of November, 2001.
No, I am not a member of Magister, but was online when The Sleeper was released, it was fun to hear the shouting across the zones (and not just Velious) "The Sleeper is Loose".

i'm an axe collector and the Palladius axe is one of if the greatest prize to my collection . Just wondering how much pp would it take to bribe to winner of the axe to get it i would pay anything....and i mean anything
Given that you would have to bribe a whole guild, not just the person who they decided to give it to, for this axe. Given that it is the best 2hs in the game. And finnally that people of the level to be looting this big boy don't have any use for money except for twinking since their equip is almost all no drop. I would say your chances of paying someone to let you loot this are......zero!

hoss on Dro has killed him with starting number of 48 (got 2 guardian and 2 drake adds and still WON) and with 42ish (with only 3 deaths all battle rezzed) was truely the highlight of my EQ playing time and made all 60 lvls well worth it.
with the 48 kill only had a few wizards (2 or 3 that I remember) but they did 80% of the damage

^_^ I was there, playing my beloved sweetheart's enchanter since he was too sick to be on. Hoss had first kill on server for this mob. Second time around, he did, as mentioned, drop the robe of ownage which went, WELL deserved, to Nuuk Leerbomb, mah favorite wizard. First robe on our server, Druzzil Ro, to be had by anyone. He also dropped the funky druid-only arms. ;)

Him and all his buddies are dead within 1-2 hours of spawning on Ayonea Ro.
He's very possible with way less than 50ppl too if you have any kinda co-ordination.

it was a long battle(like 20minutes of dying and rreviving but we and my guild finally beat it and i finsished it off with 700damage Bs and all my other BS missed

He is slowable, I should know because I slowed him. He is not that tough, its just a loooonnnngggggg fight as he slowed our tanks. =)

hoss on druzzil ro took him down last night
AoE 250dd 140% slow and manna dot...
dropped the uber 60ac robe for us, druid arms (45ac) and a ranger only 1hs thats better than the haste epic.
it only took us 18 min. to kill him. new changes were they added flurry to him.

You have to kill EVERY OTHER DRAGON IN THE WHOLD **** PLACE TO EVEN THINK ABOUT KILLING HIM! Then he drops 2-4 pieces to be split between a whole guild? Most of his uber stuff can be equipt on 4 or so different classes. Their is the insane spawn time, plus having to take down all other dragons. Also, their are other guilds going on raids, so your chance of ever seeing one of the nice things he drops is next to nothing.
Listen to yourself. They put the most uber stuff on him for the exact reason you stated;) calm down, you cant get really good stuff without workin for it, fact of life. In and out of EQ. If they made this stuff drop in seb to appease you... what fun would the game be.
