One of my older warrior characters on Xegony managed to get numerous bounties from many guilds to help defeat this guy. So I went and I managed to be about the only person still alive (think like 8 people lived all casters)so know this even a uber guild and many can be defeated easily!(mmm palladius axe of slaughter, drool)

To those who are posting about Shadowed Souls below, They are the 2nd most uber alliance guild on Cazic-Thule. Allianced with The Divine Alliance. The most UBER on the server is Talons/Cohort Cabylieus (or however u spell it). So Shadowed Soul is out the running there bro.

Vulak hasnt been removed. He stills still in ToV but theres now a quest (Like Ring of Fire in Acrylia to my knowledge) If you defeat 12 waves of mobs then you get a shot at Vulak... however a friends guild wiped on the first wave (and they've killed Vulak before, I wont mention which guild incase they don't want people knowing)
I just hope they've upgraded Vulaks loot since he's now so hard to get to =)

TO EVERYONE POSTING ABOUT THE LOOT:
All the whiny people on the seperate loot pages are making me incredibly sick. I actually feel "stupider" after reading some of these posts. Yes, there are many intelligent posters, but they are far and few. To get to the point; With VERY LITTLE exception, when an item ahs classes posted on it, IT IS MADE FOR ALL OF THOSE CLASSES! For Christs sake, what is so difficult about to concept?!?!?If part of the item is godly for a certain class, but THAT DOESNT MEAN IT'S THEIRS ONLY! Also with small exception, there is something for everyone on an item!
Take for Example, Akkirus' Mask of Warfare. A sweet item to say the least, but which class is its rightful owner? Hmmm...It was monster AC! HP! All four Melee Stats! Wow, must be a tank/hybrid item! Wait, WIS? Must be a Priest Item! INT? Nah, its a Pure Caster Face! CHA? DAMN its an ENCH Face! HOLY SHENANIGANS, NO WEIGHT! MUST BE A MONK ITEM! Ah wait, see those two words under the Weight? ALL...ALL? What could that mean?
Do you get what I'm saying? This is all out of control. If you even glance at one of these uber items none of us will ever own the stats will tell you who its owner is; THE CLASSES SLAPPED ON IT! Phew...

In everquest the best guild would have to be shadowed souls.

omg i have never even heard of shadowed souls, havent heard of vane either. afterlife and FoH where the best guilds around but they have faded recently. i would have to say that my money is with BoTS (rathe). they are number one on that server, first to wake the sleeper and have cleared Ntov so many times i cannot count. i dont know if they are the absolute best of any guild but my money would be with them
At last count (that I'm aware of at least), Vane on E'ci had the longest list of accomplishments, Fires of Heaven on Veeshan was first to do alot of things, seem to have faded into the background lately though, Reconstructed, also on E'ci has really been on the up lately and in ways, surpassing Vane. The Afterlife (can't remember thier server for sure but im fairly sure it was one of those R ones lol... they are on enuf item pics here you'll figure it out sooner or later lol) is pretty darn powerful too. Element of Darkness was pretty groundbreaking with epics.
All this and I've never heard of Shadowed Souls... Not saying they aren't great, just saying in all my time in eq (well over 3 years) I've never even heard of them, let alone their accomplishments, while I've heard alot about the others I mentioned.

Afterlife is the uberest guild there is..check out their website on www.afterlife.org and see what I mean. they've also won 3 server wide ToT championships against other uber guilds across different servers

In the place of where vulak is, is a con green mob who says some jibber jabber about vulak bein good enough to be at the feet of veeshan, yatta yatta, basically saying that verant has yet again screwed us hard and put him on,correct me if im wrong, the 7th isle, basically saying its gonna take awhile to get there, so if u guyz got anything plz say

He wasn't moved to PoA. There is a RoF type of thing then he spawns. Only fought the first wave of mobs myself before we were wiped by 3 con red mobs that AoE DT'd half the raid after our first wave despawned on us. The other half was then killed off by another wave spawning.

I am a warrior and I want to know in the long run, which race in Velious would be best for me to ally myself with, the Giants, Dragons, or Dwarves. (In terms of quest items, loot from enemy races)

Well, it depends. First of all, you can switch faction anytime, it's not that ungodly hard. Secondly, it depends on your guild and level. Killing in Skyshrine has some nice easy accessible drops, killing your dragon faction. Qua quest armor, Thurgadin is probably the easiest (though also the crappiest) and requires you to kill giants in Kael Drakkel. The best warrior gear is quested in Kael Drakkel (giants) but requires you to kill in Temple of Veeshan, so you'd better be 55+ and have an uber guild to get that.

Mob has never stood for Monster or Beast. That's a fallacy perpetuated by people who don't actually know what it stands for. It's a MUD term that stands for MOBile object, because that's what the things you kill are - They're mobile objects (In programming terms)
