Ok I wanted to do this quest for "fun" because I skipped it when I was in my 20's and clicky root sounded like it could be useful.
I've never seen this guy.
I've camped the Gfay ent. I've camped the DE camp. I've killed the necromancer. I've rounded up and aoe'd most of the *zone*.....
I camped 3 cycles of 1.5 epic fights with a couple of guilds and none of the rangers or druids or bards there for the fight could find this little stinker on track either.
I ran 2 guildies with track out there and we *still* didn't find him....
Broken quest?

Where does this guy spawn? At what time?

In case noone posted it, he's a L16 cleric class. Was casting the exact same things I was casting on him. :) Nukes for 76, roots, fears, and can heal himself. Didn't see him so anything else.

I was running through lfay the other night when this guy jumped me, conned high green to my 25 warrior, beat him bad and still got xp off him....go figure :)

Must be at LEAST 16, I dropped a 200pt DoT and 3 180 nukes on it and it still had at least 40% health left (course it being healed by Priestess Llandra for 3 different complete heals didnt help at all either.. =/)

he dropped a head. the person that looted it didn't tell me what it was. any ideas if this is a new quest with the new happenings in the faydwer area?

It doesnt have anything to do with the new happenings. Its for the Tunare Initiate quest found at the following link

Meant to say Tunare Disciple quest. The link is right though. You have to do the Initiate quest first.

These guys (as pointed out in other responses) are SERIOUSLY underconned. I was lvl 12 running through to get to Steamfont. I noticed it said "Dark Elf Courier beings to cast a spell" so I decided to track it. It agroed on me and chased me to zone (thank God for SoW). There, I saw a few midteens level people getting the caca kicked outta them by it. Lucky for them, A lvl 60 High Priest was standing right there. So thats just a word to the wary. Like they'd ever make Dark Elves that weak anyways. =p

The actual level on this guy is really 16, not 6. Killed him the other day and he was even to me at 16.
