Aaryonar guards the entrance to the main ring of the northern wing. He will come to the aid of any other dragons if aggro'd before he is killed except the five in the very northern hall. While it seems he will always come with his guards if they are aggro'd, he can be single-pulled from them. Beware of the guards and Aaryonar's long aggro range, and that the top step leading to him is extremely slippery.
In the Temple of Veeshan: Casts "Call of the Zero" every 10 seconds. Also casts "Cloud of Disempowerment" every 20 seconds. (Pic by: Harlee Quinn, Nox Mustale)

He has dropped the enchanter spell Insidious Visions twice now for us.
FYI, this sucker's confirmed to drop Ancient spells VERY rarely.
Edit: I may have made a mistake. The person who confirmed the ancient drops was not actually on the raid in question. This guy would be a good mob to look at for ancients, though. :) Lotta rumors about him dropping them. Just nothing concrete yet.

AAs been upgraded. Guards are unsplitable now so you have to split tank AA and the guards. AAs hps have also been knocked up. Not an easy fight.

took us about 56 people to take him down... pulled and killed his guards first, used a click item to raise mana from his aoe... was a lonnnnnnng fight.

this guys is cake if you have a person calling out his AoE, He casts it every 10 seconds... main tank must shout that his AoE has been casted then casters run out cast then run behind a wall again. Entire Ntov was cleared in a few hours on Tallon

This guy have 20.3 billion hp i charmed him with my level 12 enchanter and killed the sleeper in 1 hit and they sleeper said: You'll have all the Crushbone Orcs on your tail for my death! and then he dropped every item in the game including an item called THE BIG BACKBACK that holds infinite items and i sold all of it for about 800,000 billion plat in ec and am making a deal with verant to buy Antonica and Faydwer and then overrun the kings and BECOME THE ALMIGHTY RULER OF NORRATH THAT RULES NORRATH. MUHAHAHA!

AOE: Sucks all your mana and you cant regen any til the "dot" has run its course. Easy way to get rid of it, click on an item (jboots) and the dot will leave. He is slowable and Hits for 900 a pop not a nice guy droped a head item 25 ac +10 wis other stats was nice to see him dead

pretty interesting how jboots, that you cant use inside TOV, will overwrite an ae dot. Even other right click items overwriting a dot from a dragon would be a first for me. I wonder if my POS okiels radiation from my boots would cancel that dot.

arry has a "real" dot and "fake dot". the real dot you cant do nething about. the fake dot, you clik ne insta cast rt clikker and mana goes bak to where it was.
you get teh fake dot if youre behind a wall. you get teh real dot if youre in line-of-sight.

Plenty of other guilds on other servers have done it.
For instance, Triton guild (Povar server) cleared the whole north wing recently...Other dragons in there are reportedly a lot tougher then Aaryonar, not to imply that ANY of them are easy. The culmination was Vulak-Aerr, the only dragon that took a second attempt on this raid, five hours later with a few more people (58 in all). Vulak-Aerr dropped some truly incredible stuff: Crystasia's Crystal Ring, Vyrinn's Earring of Insanity, and Rowyl's Metal Armguards.
Aaryonar dropped the Reaper's Ring and Amulet of the Dreadgazer. Not bad but hey, some guilds are way past Aaryonar, it's silly to say only <fill in favorite guild's name> has killed him.
In fact, it seems silly to say that about ANY creature in the game...how could anyone possibly know the deal on all 40-odd servers? Lots of guilds don't broadcast everything they're up to.
The Sleeper might be a special case, everyone knows when that happens...but how do you know some guild somewhere didn't clear ToV a month after Velious hit the shelves?
Hehe not that it matters to me...by the time I get into ToV, there'll be a McDonalds in there. It'll be like the next EC tunnel or something, 150 people hawking uber loot any time of day or night. Auction channel will be filled with stuff like "Last chance on this CoF for 100pp or it's going to the vendors!" Once in a while, some level 50 "newbie" will scream for help and run up with a dragon on his ***, and the mob of people standing around will beat it down in 10 seconds.
IMO the other dragons in NToV are much EASIER than Aary. We wiped on aary first time, didn't lose a single person on consequent named (5 so far, still workin on it). We will try the ring of Vulak this week, and we'll prolly wipe more than once but hey, it'll be worth it if we actually succeed.
Aary is such a bastage cuz of his manadraining dot. We tried to have melee call out the dot and run up and cast but I guess lag screwed us up cuz casters kept getting hit by it (cept the clerics behind the wall).
With a bard (didn't even have a bard there for aary 8( ), our resists were pretty much over 300 for the other dragons. I didn't even need a heal for Dagarn or Feshlak, their aoe's are pretty weak.
Btw SoE needs to check the loot table system they got, Kriezen dropped THREE rogue piercers. Lol we had to give one away cuz only 2 rogues at the raid 8(. Boy, WoO's rogue in HoT was pretty happy with that :P.
