I got together a red dragon scale and a white dragon scale and some metal bits, got the lute body and I am hading that in over and over ( the same one - you get it back) every time I see undead bard up. And I am using my wizard to do it. I spawn trak that way and get another shot at a bp. I have done that 11 times in the same 7 weeks. I got bard, druid and paladin bp's most often. The undead bard has spawned within 2 hours of killing trakanon for me once. Also had undead bard spawn 22 hours after doing epic turn in previously.

I've spent a lot of time in Trak's lair killing all the jugs and reets that surround it so I've seen the bard come and go numerous times.
Times that I've noted:
I've killed real-Trak and logged into the bard being up 12 hours later.
I've seen the bard-Trak die and the bard spawn again within 6 hours.
I've logged in 30min-1hour after server reset and the bard was up.
My guess just by information is that his spawn is 6-18 hours random after death and most likely spawns on server up.

Bard must be broken again. ive had a toon at his spawn point for 3 weeks and only the real trak will spawn (on Fenin Ro)

he isn't broken, he was never broken, Trakanon kills UDB on sight

anyone have repop timer on this guy if he isnt up from someone kiling him or how long it takes for him to pop if trak kills him. im after the bard epic trak and would be nice to have some repop timers incase i have to deal with a few rounds of this guy/trak to get my spawned verson.

Was in OS today with my druid looking for Trakanon. He wasn't up. An Undead Bard was, however, and I was selling him some of my loots off the juggs. Suddenly, he depopped in the middle of my transaction and Trak popped right on me and almost immediately banished me. Cleared the mushroom guys from that room and ran back invised. To make a long story short, he banished me 3 times before I could get summoned back and ironically, I had run all the way back almost to him when he finally summoned. Lost agro every time except the last one and then swiftly nuked him to his death. Never seen Trak, bard, or much of this zone before... wasn't around when this content was current. Just bored and thought I'd wander in. Not sure if this info is relevant, important, or whatever, but thought I'd share nonetheless.

1) do you have to turn in the lute body to spawn trak or can u just kill him and then spawn him

This is actually awesome for anyone that is unlucky when camping reet crowns =) It took me about 3 hours to get one, so I sold a lot of my junk to this guy.

Phinny's fishes are back in place(his gaurds so you aggro them)

Its at 96% and lower that mobs summon, not 94.
So getting him below 97% will get him to summon.
Edit:
No, now it's 97% and lower, because 1 damage used to bring a mob to 99%, now a mob will show more accurate percentage.

Mobs can now summon after you do one damage to them.
Edit: I was very incorrect, have to do more than one damage for a mob to summon you.

Finally got around to killing UDB/Trak for my brother's epic. Some hints for the kill for anyone thinking about doing this: make sure you have a mage for the tank group (MA/SA in same group), and bring dps with you. He's an insanely easy kill with 15 people, I don't think he lasted 30 seconds. It's quite probable he can be done with a single group of 65's with the right mix (and for sure he could be done by a group of sk's with HT or a mix of SK's and wizzies).
From the amount he dropped from my HT, I suspect Trak has 32khp. His damage output, however, isn't much except for his DoT, which doesn't really matter in a fight like this.

Beta Neutral is an actual faction. Look it up in the beastiary. There are a few quests to do to raise it if you ever need to. Just my 2cp

This guy is easy to kill after you hand in the Mystical Lute Body, but the Trakanon spawned is just as tough to kill as the regular spawn. 24-30 is recommended with high PR for 1200DD AE (poison based) and MR for the AE blind (deadly when it lands on the healers)

Forgot to mention that the UDB is on a 20 hour spawn and is KOS to the real Trakanon. This means when Trak is up UDB chain dies until he's taken down giving the UDB time to spawn unharmed. Plain english: After regular Trak dies it will pop between then and 20 hours later. I recommend raiding the day after Trakanon is taken down. Easy trick is to leave a corpse in the lair from the previous raid. When anywhere in zone you can target youself, cast locate corpse, then use bind sight to keep a watchful eye on the spawn.

bind sight has no distance restriction, never has. please dont try to offer advice on things yu are not certain of. i have used this spell to bounce arounds zones from mob to mob; and used on corpse finding mission, (locate corpse, bind sight--then lok around)

I know the last post was a few months ago, but because of the rudeness of the post, I feel it needs a correction. There has been a distance restriction on Bind Sight in the past. When I began playing EQ in '99 all was peachy and I could bounce Bind Sight all over the place. Then after a patch (which I think included a message about it) I was able to go only so far and though I wouldn't return to my own sight, I could no further. This has since been return to it's normal lack of limits, or so I've been told. So... please don't give advice on things yu[sid] are not certain about.

I dont know about other classes bind sight spells, but the bind sight song for bards has a limitless range...so it would work from the zone-in to trak's lair just fine.
Bind sight for wizzies has no distance restriction. I've cast it on group members and mobs a mile away.

Umm why do all that? Just level a Ranger alt high enough to be escorted near Trak's room in range to Track Trak and in a safe spot then logg him..Pop in from time to time and check him out..

Is the spawned Trak the same lvl as the "real" Trak? I have heard this Trak is not the same lvl and that 2 groups could do this part for the Bard epic. Any info would be appreciated.

I cant find info ANYWHERE on what lute you need to spawn this guy. Do you need to hand him any piece of the Lute you are making...or does it need to be a all of the lute made to this point....info on what u need to spawn him for sure would be great.

This mob is used for bard epic. Hand him part of your mystical lute and a new trakanon will spawn and drop guts for the bard epic.
