Soloed By lvl 60 Beastlord, Slow stuck on the first shot, Burned off and def discs, ran oom and was at under 30% life when it was done, but i got him. Had V, kei, 7th and sta, used savagery epic slow and avatar fists. Sicked pet, slowed stacked all the dots i could, Nuked twice and jumped in as pet was around 25%, Used up Def disc not knowing how long fight would last. Threw in a pet heal when i was at about 50% so i could back out and heal to 80%, went back in he was at 40%, burned off disc. Can rampage but extremely rare, Once during my second fight with him.Runs at 10% or but slow as hell, easy to chase down. 1% aa around 7pp both times and once out of two droped his tali.

This Dragon is seriously easier than trash mobs in Plane of Nightmare. The only this is for me is that she summons. As a druid, charm breaking is about to equal death. I soloed this Dragon as a lvl63 druid wood elf with 265wis. I charmed a Velium Hound and I sat back and healed and not very much. I got it to drop Spell: Protection of the Glades for me. Good Luck All.

I soloed Yeldema with snare/pet/fear/dot she is pretty tough with resists but can be done. She doesnt have AE Dispell which is a big advantage. Otherwise I had no problem.

61 Mage + 60 Pet Heal = dead dragon. She's even easier than soloing stuff in Plane of Nightmare.
duo'ed
# Jul 14 2003 at 5:43 AM Rating: Decent
Me, 60sk, and 60 monk killed him tonight. He conned 52 to my druid who checked to see if he was up.
Monk had tash stick. Stone stance till tashed. Then snare and fear. He pathed to water, which made it interesting. Either he or I was in/out of water and spells weren't landing. If that hadn't happened, I would've been at 75% health and monk about the same. As it was, we ended up at about 30 each. Dropped heavy boots and 55 pally group heal. Sucky loot, but that was a cool thing to do. I'll be back to solo him when I level a bit with some AA's. I read about him being soloed pre-luclin by a 60 sk, but she was NToV geared, and I'm not.

Some info

Hi.

I've killed this dragon with my 65 monk duo with a 65 cleric. It's max hit on me was for 219 and it enrages. It is pure melee and has no AoE. I parsed about 24,000 HPs, without including the clerics DD's and hammer. I landed intimidation several times but was always resisted.
All it dropped was Burnout IV. After a server reset we did it again and got Worked Dragonhide Boots.
Just wait until the area is clear of aggro mobs and drag her a little to the north shore and fight her there. Hope this helps, because this one is bigger than it's bite :).

Good Luck.
Easy

hehe Im a 58 Druid. Duo'ed this one with a good mage who is 55. All we got was some meat and burnout 4. Which was really funny as he had just paid a large amount for the spell. All in All I used a hound for pet he used air elemental and we owned. next stop kael to raise faction some more.

Slow Resisting
# Jun 19 2003 at 3:31 AM Rating: Decent
It seems that 55th is not high enough to slow this one, consequently my attempt to melee this dragon down with my 'solo' cleric and chanterbot failed. I will be back...
RE: Slow Resisting
# Jun 21 2003 at 1:35 AM Rating: Decent
I went back and had another go today and killed her. At 55th slow can land.

Being as I was tanking Yel with a cleric I had to reslow fairly often during the fight, and it seems to me that on average I had to cast slow 3 times to land, the most was 4. I was using tash.

Furhter information: I attempted around 6 slows after tashing and all resisted, as did the (pre-tash) Mark of Retribution I cast with the cleric (59th) to pull her to where I wanted.
Too easy

Just did her with a 59 druid/55 ench team...charmed a mammoth, let it rip her apart. Summoned me a few times, bits like a gimp we only had PotC on and no one died. After pet got aggro it was cake. Watch for drake adds, theyre like sow speed, needed to mez 1
Weekest Dragon in the zone
# Apr 19 2003 at 6:42 PM Rating: Decent
Yeldema is the only dragon in the zone that does not use an AE dispell. He his for 219 max, is easily slowed, and can be soloed by a shaman who has torpor. Just watch for adds.
Faction hit

How bad is the faction hit for camping this Dragon? i am on SS faction - but this is the only way to get burnout 4 - less i find the new research stuff.
RE: Faction hit
# Dec 11 2003 at 5:32 PM Rating: Decent
You usually can kill two dragons per level of faction loss. Example, killed 4 one night, and went from max ally, to low warmly. One night in the arena and you're max ally again. This is for the "lesser" dragons. I have not been on a Sontalak kill. The lvl 60+ dragons may come with a bigger hit, but maybe not.

For the lessers, plan on about 2 per level of faction.

Although, for those of you on Kael/Giant faction, they're a good way to get to ally quickly. The lessers also drop heads regularly, and once you get some Tormax faction (from killing Coldains or Icepaw Kobolds in Velks) you can start turning in the heads for loot. Greater heads result in Barbed Dragonscale Boots and Frostbringers, which can make a dragon killing session worthwile. However, you won't be able to do the turn-ins unless you're at least dubious to Tormax, because Damlayz is Tormax, and Kenaya is in Tormax's throne room (even though he is Kromzek faction).

The heads are one of the good things about Kael faction. That and watching all the people getting wasted occasionally, and not having to worry about it.

Forgot to add, this dragon is the "puss" of all the WW dragons. Glati will roam by occasionally, though, and two at one time can send you running/gating.

Also, watch out for the druid quads in the area. Sometimes they don't tell you they're quadding, or one of their quads go bad and they gate/zone, leaving 4 pissed off, unslowed velium hounds roaming the area looking for some payback. Four velium hounds is a nasty melee fight (a lot tougher than a lesser dragon, for sure), and has wiped my Shammy/SK two-box duo before.

The faction hits are pretty big.. I'd say it would probably take no more than 15-20 kills to go from ally to KoS. I'd suggest looking for the spell or its research components in the bazaar. Sold this spell for 500pp today on Quellious, its the only one I've gotten in well over 100 dragon kills, though its all based on blind luck.

Soloable
# Feb 27 2003 at 1:59 PM Rating: Decent
With a charmed velium hound, a druid can solo Yeldema, but if charm breaks, be ready to evacuate. Just haste the pet, send it in and ACH it when it's at about 60% health. Yeldema will finally run at low health, so snare at about 80% health, then take the spoils. I got Yeldema's Talisman.

I went from max ally to CoV to... ally to CoV =)

It dropped the spell Wrath of the Elements.

Just did her yesterday. 57sk, 60dru, 56dru, 58sham, 61mag, and 53 cleric. We buffed up at WW/SG zoneline. Had 60 druid track her down then 56dru tracked down the 60 druid. Waited till we had pets out and buffed and then pulled to the waters edge when all wondering mobs were out of the way. Took about 2 minutes, if that. Dropped 2 dragon meats and some boots. Waited for almost 2 hours and still no repop. People in zone stated that she was more like a 4 hour spawn. Fair warning took 2 kills to go from Max Ally to warmly. Second kill was just a veilous drake.

Just my 2cp
