Once i got my druid his first C3 i came here to test it out, and was able to not only solo him but the entire fort as well.

I got the legging off this guy this evening. He had a ton of hps. NO big deal for a 49 bard just took a while. My druid friend is so happy!

Was grouped with a level 60 warrior yesterday and he was pulling these giants and killing them(I was getting great exp and faction at lvl 41 shaman). He pulled this guy and we killed him. He was red to me, and I used up all my mana healing the warrior. Glad to say I have some new armor for my legs, went from apprehensive to kindly to coldain, and got to level 42 =)

We did not ks anyone. Before he pulled him (about 10 minutes before) someone said he was up and asked if anyone was doing the quest. Nobody answered.

he is one mean sob resisted 3 out of 4 dots cast
and has a very high hp count took 3 38+ a long time to take out. not sure if someone activated quest but might account for the resists & length
to kill anyway dropped pants hehe but i didn't get
cause team leader yelled zone & i don't need encouragement not when i'm outa mana hehe.

I'm a 51 druid and kite pretty well. Anyone know how resistant the 45 Fergul is? I'd like to do this quest, but my friends are frequently too busy to come help me kill this guy. If he's not highly MR or FR then I can just solo him, but I'm not sure.

I am a 51 Druid also he was pretty easy kill but has a ton of hp's. I just snared rooted and dotted. Everything stuck except immolation (imagine that). He broke root more than elites also.

Wurm Broodmother, being a Wurm, has no Faction. So if they are a Quest NPC, she in indiifferent to everyone. And just to educate everyone, if it is a quest npc that has no faction base they are always indifferent to everyone.

What faction is for teh broodmother, all the wurms are KoS to me and I have only seen here once many levels ago. Is she same as the rest of the wurms in GD? If so, can we start this by being invis and not getting attacked.

broodmother is a quest npc therefor indiferent and will not kos.

That statement is devoid of anything substantive. NPCs can be on faction regardless of their use in a quest. Try doing the Kael armor quests after slaying a dozen giants. Ever hear of Skyshrine or Thurgadin armor? ugh.... some people just like to interject two cents when they dont even have their facts straight.

aye but it is true in this case all other wurms are kos to me a druid of tunare but she is indifferent, of course this is not to say that al quest NPC's are indiff but this ones starts out that way
And it's not even because she's a quest NPC, but on a different faction.

Myself a 45 Pally and my friend a 46 druid did the Kromiff Legging quest. Fergul conned even to me, so he has to be 45 and the other named giant was blue.
It was one hell of a fight but just the 2 of us managed to kill him and get the leggings. The broodmother didn't kill off the other named one so I had to zone him, and come back to find my druid low on mana, and running around with Fergul on his ass. But we managed to get a little organized and began a long kite. Fighting off adds and 45 minutes later we killed him and my friend got his new leggings.
It was one hell of a fight but just the 2 of us managed to kill him and get the leggings. No he is not the same level when doing the leggings quest. I did this quest three times when I was level 45. Once for myself and twice helping guildmates. On all three occasions he conned blue to me prior to the harness being handed in. When the harness is handed in he repops out in front of the fort (and to the right when facing), starts to run early, and conned even to me at 45. The quest Fergul is significantly tougher than the regular Fergul.

You have to make start the quest with the Broodmother to make him drop the legs, other wise he drops nothing.

This is the mob that drops the Kromrif Military Leggings after you initiate the Broodmother Shardwurm part of the quest found here:

He only drops the leggings when activated by the quest, and then only after he starts to run.
