you ONLY need kindly. I've done the quest. At amiable he's like WHO ARE U KIDDING? at kidnly he's like heeeey yeah I'll do it for ya. So yeah kindly works.

NO IT DOES NOT. I did this at kindly and it FAILED!!!!

While runniing through Thurg killing all the dorfs i could find (while trying to get a lil giant faction), stumbled across this guy, or rather he made a beeline for me, one of two mobs in this zone i will leave alone and give a wide berth hehe, i figured id try to solo him just to see how he was, Pulled him to thurgB zoneline, sent pet to him, and began trying to slow, took 4 tries to slow him, poison will land but can be resisted, he hits 350 ish, and fast even when slowed, healed pet a few times and meleed a it myself, Barely dented this guys Hps, Zone if he is ever on your tail

I was told you need to get to ally with Coldain. My RL friend lost his pieces because he was here and .... The Best way I found to do that was attend a Ring War. I went from amiable to ally in 2 hours or so.

I read this post and told my guild member he needed to have ally status, he did it with amiable and it did not work.

i did it at warmly just now. if you say 'what sleeves' and he says you need better faction dont do the quest. scowling-threatening-dubious-apprehensive-indifferent-amiable-kindly-warmly-ally

Kindly is better than Amiable, and I got confirmation that you have to have Kindly. I'm about to go turn-in now, so I guess we'll find out if Kindly is enough.

There are a few ways to raise Coldain faction. I recommend killing giants or Drakkel Dire Wolves in GD and EW. These also raise the all-important CoV faction. You can also collect giant heads and turn them in for a quest (look it up here) to raise faction. Oh, you'll also want to stop killing Coldain (duh) as well as their tracking wolves. As for how many, it will take a lot of killing. My recommendation is to get some daggers (I use a Mrylokar's Bracer which summons them) and toss one at every giant or drakkel wolf that is being killed by someone. It's faster than killing and you still get faction flag. Be consciencious of others though; explain to any who ask that you're not KSing, just working faction. Most are congenial to that.

I have amiable faction with Felspar but he still says I need to prove myself before he'll give me armor quests, any ideas?
