This is a pretty easy guy to kill for decent twink/bazaar items if your passing through the zone. He is almost always up even when Tormax is dead.
where does this guy spanw? i have 2 greater dragon heads...

Hey guys, I am trying to find a great pet for some real DPS for fighting Tormax with a small group... I need to know if anybody knows if this guy is charmable for CoD. Does anybody know any mobs that are charmable under the lvl 65 that hits over 400?
The Protectors of Zek in the Arena aren't too bad. I've used them against Vindi with good results. (Get the non-casting ones inside the doors rather than those standing beside Kallis.)
Dlammaz was easily charmable before the nerf to CoD (no more -50 MR adjust). I'm not sure how he would be now, they may have even flagged him immune for all I know. Worth a try though. Good luck.

A friend and I had the same question about charming this guy for a Tormax fight, so we ran up to him, pacified everything around him, and landed a CoD without even a tash (Lucky shot considering the MR on these bad boys =D). Anyhow, the answer is YES. He can be charmed.

He's on the King Tormax Faction, yes. He's the easiest way to tell your faction with him too, you can invis to the ledge with the Drakkel Dogs that are 55ish, but not all the way. These see invis ( if you're KOS to zek, which you can be ally KT and Riff, but Scowling to zek, I am myself ). From here use an eye of zomm or one of the gnome things that summon an eye to target him.

Bah, this guy is dead meat when it gets slowed...The only thing is that the slower need s a cleric looking after him.

anyone know how long it takes for the PH to depop and for dlammaz to pop? i have head and amiable tormax faction just waiting to turn in for claok for my rogue =)

oh btw it took over 200 heads to captian to get aimiable from duboiuse zek so you get max rif zek and aimiable tormax . thats not counting the 80 heads to rif recruiter. i was max kos all before i used all those heads for a total of about 300 heads if anyone is interested

We had the warlord depop mid fight some 10 minutes after he spawned. Dlammaz spawned back at his spawn point immediately.

if he is warrior class he will hit harder

also has "a Storm Giant General" and "a Storm Gaint Warlord" as placeholders, general dropped a crappy glimmering war axe, not worth anything, no where as tough as dlammaz, warlord was up when i just was goofing off in kael, never fought him, general showed weap graphic, didnt see any on warlord.

He's easy if you have a decent tank and a slower....took him out easy with 60 clr 60 war 60 shm and 60 monk, just keep agro on the tank. BTW 1246 AC norm and i still got hit for 500 once or twice.

For the necro who said he hit for for a max of 390 somein, he doesnt always hit for 500, my unbuffed ac is 1120, and he still doubled me for 500, but didnt always, 500 is the most it can hit for, which means it can hit lower.

You can single pull him with a skilled monk even at 51.
I should know, I do it all the time and he isnt hard to get single.

Hits for up to 500, is slowable after debuffs, cripple helps here too since he rampages like mad. Enrages at the end, does not cast. SK's can solo-pull him using snare pull on his guards technique.
Hits hard and has a ton of hp, agro control by healers and debuffers is they key. If you fight him cleanly its easily done with 8-15 players as long as you got a defensive tank and a few clerics to keep him up, if you ping pong him or have people get summoned you'll likely use.
Drops: Cloak of the Maelstrom 11ac 55hp 4 sta/str 11dex 20 stone or close to that
apparently also drops Frostbringer 12/22 6ac procs: Frostbite, though in 5 kills I've yet to see one drop, so that must be his rare.

He doesn't drop those two items, he'll give them to you if you bring him a Lesser Dragon's Head (cloak) or a Greater Dragon's Head (weapon).

He does. However he also gives them out when doing the dragon heads quests.

was wondering what this guy hit for, since in a guild with friends who built ourselves from the ground up, so nobody is really uber, and were looking for new challange, was wondering how much this guy hit for, if rampages like crazy, etc. etc., highest tank is only 57 though, has like 1100 ac unbuffed though

We moved up to ramp and cleared everything to him. Our monk was lvl 56 so we decided to let our 60 warrior pull and just charm the adds. We get him and 2 adds ( 60 enchanter charms one add 55 enchanter gets other) Gets to 75% and we get about 3 more adds ( what do you know respawn haha) Get him to 40% before everyone is dead. So we go back later, down from 16 to 13 people again 60 warrior pull but we are all further down the ramp, Fight goes smoothly only the 55 enchanter dies and Me ( 59 paladin) tank mezed the charmed add. With a 60 monk you can get him solo and with a 60 warrior 60 shaman 60 cleric and others you can do with 1 group. Our classes where 60 warrior 59 warrior 59 paladin 60 enchanter 60 cleric 58 cleric 60 shaman 59 druid 57 druid 58 mag 59 rogue 56 monk 55 enchanter. Fight lasted 5mins or so very easy 2nd time around without the 5 adds hehe. If our 60 monk was logged on we could have got him solo and id say a 3 min fight or so. Avg equit was warlords for warriors/berserkers/cobalt, most had epics one warrior had willsapper. Id say one full group of 60s avg equitment can own this guy. Btw droped cloak =/

My guild just accidentally pulled him the other day, lol. They decided they would give it a shot and they had a 60 war tanking it, he dropped at first since they didn't know what would happen, then had a 57 war tank it. They had around a 7 second CH cycle going. He was down to the last smidge in the first D of his name when one cleric got summoned while CHing and the tank died...Everybody started nuking and casters soon died..blahblahblah, we did not take him out hehe, but we are trying again tonight with one more cleric.
I heard that if this guy has the frostbringer to drop it will be visable in his hand does anyone know this for sure, or does it drop when its not visable also. Any answer on this would be greatly apriciated :)

He dropped Cloak of the Maelstrom stats something like 11ac 4str 10dex 6sta 5 int 20weight all/all. Those stats are very close if not perfect if my memory servers correctly. I was the one who looted and lotto'd it so I saw it first hand. Mojunra from Sol Ro won the lotto.

After Tanshanian I have been able to land FD on his ass everytime. Problem is sometimes he doesn't like being Tash'd :(

We took him out recently on Quellious. COA And HU. He dropped a nice cloak, Cloak of the Maelstorm, extremly heavy but nice stats of which i don't remember because I lost the roll. *sighs*

Most definitely hits for 500.
Have taken him out many times, has always dropped that silly cloak.
I have close to 1200AC buffed and this guy will easily chew through me as a 60 SK until slowed.
We have taken him out with as few as 8 people 55 to 60 (mostly 60) but be prepared for a long fight as he has a TON of HP's

We took him with 11 peeps ranging from lvl 46 to 60. He hit me for 513 a couple times, at the time my AC was 1231 and Agil 151.
Dropped the cloak.

You must have been a naked or very low level player to get hit that hard. I'm a 54 necromancer and only got hit for 350 max. I still died pretty quickly of course, but never got hit for 500!

I can definately verify that he hits for 500 max. He like all upper level giants chews through ac like a hot knife through butter. My monk (Level 56 1059ac unbuffed) still gets hit for 500s by him but more often that not I take hits in the 300-400 range. Same as PoZs really, they still get in a 360 every now and then.
