You missed the AE shock of force, and AE ice based spell in that list of spells he uses, but otherwise ... =)

Oh, anyone that's using this information for a raid, the reason why the AE shock of force is such a big deal is because Yelinak's room is made of ice ... don't forget your levitate =)

Seriously even though this is silly Yelinak would eat all three of them...his AoE mana drain would take out Vox's and Trak's mana quickly therefore Vox wouldn't be able to heal. Trakanon would go down first since he hits the hardest...Trak doubles for 600s whereas this guy does about the same damage, however Trak has 32000 hp and this guy has closer to 300,000...once Trak goes down Naggy and Vox would be cake(less hp, hit for much less, much lower level)

I agree, and with Yelinak's high-*** resistances, Naggy's AoE probably wouldn't hit... I know his AoE poison is easier to resist than most dragon spells.

Nah my money would be on the lesser dragons =p.

Vox would sit outta range and use her CHs, I mean she could actually be tanking and still get this thing off =p. Naggy would be main tank and Trak would be the back up Necro/tank.

If all goes to **** (which it will) Trak just ports Yellie over to the shrooms and due to the size of Yelinak this would agro most the zone down on top of him. The three dragons having bound in Trak's lair would gate back and finish the job.
250k?

You people are real silly, ive heard that most things dont have more than 32k hit points and that they just have a mad regen. 250k hp my *****

okei think what you want, but this guys has TONS of hp. last night i laid witness to this slaughter, er super fight, er 12round fight. after killing wushi in about a blink of the eye, moved to ss. then begain to clear out the place towards lord Y. started fighting not less then 1hour later did we bring this down with 10groups of lvl 55 to 60! you tell me if its got hp's we would drag out the dead rez click them and rebuff and send them back into fight! if you dont think this guy has hit points, then try fighting him yourself.

Your information is old, the 32K hp limit was changed with the release of Velious, there are many mobs in velious in excess of 32k.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 07 2001 at 6:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) 250 k my ***** it would take a entire server to kill the punk! maybe he has like 40k wit dragon regen

>>it would take a entire server to kill the punk!<<

Just because YOU can't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done.

When all else fails - new tactics.

Very Good Point i agree nothing is unbeatable just might need new tactics. If your sever was better then ours and not greedy you could prolly take it down.

Um, i dont think the guy meant having lots of hp meant his groups couldnt beat the thing. I do believe he said they beat it only after an hour of fighting, and to me that sounds like a lotta hp.
ups
# Feb 07 2001 at 11:21 PM Rating: Default
meant over 50k hp, not 200k hp.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 12 2001 at 6:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) haha Sounds like u need to get your GD facts straight "newbie" hahahahahahah

Max hp being set at 32k was a limitation of the variable being used to store the data.

Amazingly funny when people post statements like, "I heard", "Someone told me" etc etc.

Go do your own discoveries and base your posts on that, makes you look much more mature and less like an idiot.

Try to fight this dragon and then we can talk.

Have a nice day.
Talking First?
# Jan 28 2001 at 5:39 PM Rating: Default
Hasn't anyone tried talking to this dragon insteading of attacking it. Rumor has it that Yelinik gives out a quest equal to that of Tormak's Yelinik's Head for substantial reward.
RE: Talking First?
# Feb 01 2001 at 2:30 AM Rating: Good
Lord Yelinak says 'Alas, that day has finally come. I welcome you here, young mortal, though quite reluctantly. Forgive me if I seem rather haughty, but my trust these days is not an easy commodity to gain. I trusted a mortal once, similar to you though perhaps a mite greater in stature. His name was Kragen Morshire. Had I known the vileness of his people, I would have devoured him as he stood before me, but alas at the time I did not, and foolishly allowed him my counsel. However, again I face a similar decision, the dragon kin bid you worthy which is why you stand before me as Kragen before you. Perhaps a challenge to prove your worth, young <race> <name>?'

I've tried every possible thing I can think of to get this guy to talk to me, and he won't say a single word. ******* ;p

Its possible he wont give out a quest unless you are 55+. The quest mobs in PoG won't give you the time of day until you hit 55.
...
# Jan 15 2001 at 10:02 PM Rating: Default
... and he has closer to 250k hitpoints
weak?
# Jan 15 2001 at 10:01 PM Rating: Default
I fail to see how an ae mana drain is weak. Oh, and don't forget your dmf. He doesn't summon you at all -- I watched a cleric walk up to him and use up all his mana nuking him (by himself) and not get summoned once, then got quaded for only about 450, walked out of melee range, healed himself, and started meditating, while Yelinak stood there just staring at him ... no casting, no summons, didn't run at him ... just stood there.

The only way your corpse could have ended up in the water is if you didn't bother to use some form of levitate.
Some facts
# Jan 11 2001 at 3:22 PM Rating: Excellent
This guy has approximately 85k hitpoints. He does not really move from the spot he's at. Has a low aggro range. You can actually get really close to him without pissing him off. When fighting him be careful, he will summon you into the water on the side of him. Making a corpse retrievel difficult. He does hit for 600 damage and if you don't spread it around on a million tanks he can take you from 4000+ hps to 0 in about 5 seconds. His magic is fairly weak but he is like 95% magic resistant. Make sure you bring lots of tanks!

drops

one more thing... its cleric only, no drop
RE: drops
# Jan 02 2001 at 6:08 AM Rating: Default
Is it a proc or a right clickable effect?
RE: drops
# Jan 05 2001 at 7:18 PM Rating: Default
I hope to hell it's not a proc, since Cann could kill you prematurely if you're low on hit points. Not to mention Cleric's shouldn't be meleeing too much anyway.
RE: drops
# Apr 11 2001 at 5:27 AM Rating: Default
guess wut.. its a proc ^^
Damage
# Dec 22 2000 at 7:21 AM Rating: Decent

RE: Damage
# Jan 13 2001 at 8:15 AM Rating: Decent
It can do 800+ while its has 20% hit point left !
:p
