Is it a totally random spawn, i.e., could I be camping the giants along the wall and pull one occasionally? And, how tough of a level 30 are they?

Do these things drop the balck panther skins for the new velium talioring ?
Encountered one who was yellow to a 35. Also they are tenaciously aggressive. Stuns, eye of confusion, roots... all bad rolls on my first trip to this area. Think of a hungry big cat with lots of nerve - add the smell of blood - viola !

These and the haze panthers con too low for their difficulty so be careful. They have more hp, hit harder, and are more magic resistant than similar level non-SoV mobs. As far as I can tell they seem to be random spawns. There are usually a few pathing near Wuoshi, but if you don't have good dragon faction I'd suggest avoiding that area. Not seen a pelt drop yet so it's either uncommon or I've been unlucky.
