From the times I have camped Lodizal seems to spawn 18hours after his death with skips. Meaning if he doesn't pop after 18hours restart the counter and count another 18hours. I have gotten his time of death and logged in about on the 17th hour. For one week straight my guild was able to kill him on every spawn (6 spawns occured). We got out him belts, boots, rings and about 8 Lodi shells.
Today we killed Lodi with a 60 warrior, 60 monk, 60 druid and 60 shaman, quite easily in fact, none of the kiting dotting crap, just straight up melee, and owned him once we malo/slowed him. We arrived on the scene, with little or no mana, and took him out.
I am not sure what the pattern for this guy is but if someone could shed some definitive light I would be ever so greatful. This seems to be one of the most illusive mobs in the game and I would like to fix this. I have heard anywhere from 16 - 23 hours and I have waited longer myself then those times.
Just reposnding to the post 3 or 4 below. Great info, finally a post that says where this guy is and what hits he does to and what you can do to him ty. Must say though if ya camped this guy 55 hours straight(all you math wizzes thats over 2 days) then i must say lay of the speed, or go out get some fresh air. Showering and eating help too!
I and my guild saw this damned turtle go down to an Ogre warrior being healed by a single dwarf cleric.. that's it... 2 guys, one of which never touched him.
Of course, I come from Vallon Zek where cross-teaming is extremely frowned upon between lights and darks, and seeing as our own level 56 gnome warrior had been trying to gather an assult on the turtle for over a week (only to see this atrocity) we quickly dispatched both the ogre and dwarf for their dual-bladed crimes.

Its frowned upon because (on Vallon anyhow) its four teams, supposedly. And already most light races (3 teams worth) gang up on the dark team. And then there are the 4-teamers too. Of course I'm biased being a dark but if I'm in PvP with a dwarf and a DE heals him.. whats the point. Its not bout being racist, its just playing to the concept of the server. If you want more controlled PvP encounters there are blue servers for that. Yeah, X-teaming makes loots easier to get.. but then what? You are gonna use those loots to PK people from the same team that helped you get them? On a four team server it would just be nice to have four teams once in a while. Just my opinion.
would a 51 necro beable to fear kite this bada$$ for a long time and eventually kill it ?? mail me BloodyNoOne666@hotmail.com or send me a tell in game Uamria Desmosis
Ok. I wanted to camp this guy forever and searched high and low and found crap information. After having camped and killed him here is what I know to be true about Lodizal.
13 Facts About Lodizal:
1. Lodizal is exactly lvl 60. 2. Lodizal is aggro to all. 3. Lodizal does NOT see invis. 4. His spawn time would appear to be random. I logged in immediatly after patch and sat there for 55 hours straight till he spawned. 5. If you are at the gnoll camp near the ToFS you WILL know when he spawns with or without tracking. He appears right out of the water near gnoll camp and first iceberg or whatever you call that flat roundish ice thing off the coast, excuse me for being from South Florida hehe. When he pops the gnolls at the camp all emote stuff like soandso gnoll looks toward the water with fear. He then comes up near the camp and the gnolls run and attack and he kills them. 6. The named gnolls will not attack him or assist you. They will stand there and do nothing. Only the really low green ones will attack and do hardly any damage. 7. Lodizal can NOT be snared or rooted. 8. Lodizal CAN be slowed. And you REALLY need to do this. 9. Lodizal runs very slow. If you have sow you will outrun him even with lag and bad grapics. 10. He hits hard. 250-500 dmg hits and he hits fast. 11. Someone WILL try to ks him no matter of day or time. 12. Normal dots and nukes will land on him if you are of a high enough level. 13. He summons.
I hope this helps the many ppl that have tried to camp him and don't know what to expect. Yes he can take forever to spawn but the loot truly is worth the wait. 55 hours and we got boots, ring, shell for shield, and map piece for mask.
Krystae Lunalupus 58 Preserver Revelry and Honor Prexus
Aye he most definatly can be snared. Lvl 57 druid guildee who was kiting Lodi around whilst we assembled to kill him. About 4 mins after this druid started kiting he finally landed a snare. So its not easy, but it can be done. (BTW Lodi had not been debuffed in any way when the snare was landed)
To the above, please add: 14 - He enrages, hitting everyone in melee range on the hate list for 300 (was like a clock, 300, no more, no less). 15 - All the gnolls bunch up near the three huts and on the ice-floes that they usually stand, are populated with "a sea walrus" at every spawn point.

on fennin an epic (of course) 60 mage summoned a pet- then rooted- then nuked while pet died- lodi to death it was fun to watch and unfortunatly he didnt give me the map piece but it looked rather easy so this ninja turtle is not a 3 team pizza eater
Please don't lower my score so nobody see's this. I simply want an answer as to how a Mage with an epic pet rooted? Don't lower the score on this just because you're some moron who has no clue what they are talking about.
Obviously you dont know a thing about the Mage Epic Pet.
Here are some facts for you seeing as i am an Epiced Mage.
pet is always level 49 has about 3500 hp has a ds that is 50 pts casts a stun that does about 85 damage procs a dd that does about 145 damage Looks like a big air pet

ok iam lvl 39 druid, camping lodizal.i need to hold it till guild arrives.now, question is,what is the best way?should i run circles round the island?or just run circles around it and try evade hitting?any advice appreciated
Ok, here's my advice. Lotizol is a VERY VERY DESIERED spawn. I sat my druid there at lvl 47 and when he popped, dragged him around till guild got there. However, if any other Lotizol capable guild see's a druid kiting around lotizol waiting for peeps, they are gonna steal him. Strait up, and there's nothing you can do. Trust me, it happened to me, GM came and nothing changed. Also, at 37, no offence, but You just cant take a hit from this fella, he'll hit your for 300 or double 300 and stun you, and at this point your pretty much his play thing. This happened to me also :-)
So, I got smart. And here is my advice. When you finally see him pop, stand up and cast SOW and Levitate on yourself right away, then cast on him (it doesnt matter what spell, he'll resist it anyway). Once you have him chasing you, run out over the water to the island in the distance to the left (not one of the 3 main islands, you'll see what I'm talking about where your there). This will A) keeps others from seeing him and trying to steal him in the middle of you kyte, because no one ever goes out there, and B) keep you safe, becase there are no other mobs on that island. Once your there tell your gulid where you are, or have them track you. Now the only trick is staying out of his reach till your buds get there. And you should be all set assuming all goes well.
That is Faydedar in Tim Deep. I don't really know how MOB v. MOB combat would work but Fay is a much tougher kill than Lodi is, despite being a bit lower level I think. Lodi is straight melee, Faydedar is a good old-fashioned dragon with all the perks.

Your warrior doesn't have discipline defensive, you don't have a slower, you don't have a person who can haste tanks and on top of that, you don't have a person who is able to resist debuff outside of disease. Meaning, he's gonna be hitting your warrior for 300s very quickly, and your casters who will be casting on him will have an eight to ten level difference on a mob that has slightly higher MR by default, and on top of that, the fight will take a long time, because your melees are unhasted.
So, no, not at your current levels/class combos.
I would sub in an enchanter or a shaman on the other necro, preferrably 55+ on the shaman, as their mal can be resisted, and close to that for an enchanter.
Anyhow, I'm sure someone might post that they did Lodi with a level 4 druid and a 23 monk FD kiting while playing on two accounts, but in real life, this, while not a rough fight, you probably couldn't do given your current group resources.

Iam a level 56 cleric on rather server named Ranene, my guild takes lozidal out regularly, we have done it with Me (56 cleric) 60 shaman 60 monk and 60 warrior. It was practically overkill. There is so way you need 3 groups to take him out unless your a bunch of lvl 50's who are very inexperienced.

Hi, the spawn time is around 18 hours. It's not random. And it's not triggered. thx. But keep in mind when servers go down, that DOESN'T mean that he'll pop 18 hours from the time the server comes back up. /shrug...VI, go figure.
I find this 18 hour time frame very interesting. I watched Lodizal die to a well-run group on Rallos, and I marked the time. I researched and saw a couple of posts suggesting 18 hours as a respawn time, with possible skips some suggest. I was at the location 15 minutes early and repeatedly hit tracking. At the exact 18 hour rollover, Lodizal did not spawn, but Garou certainly did. I note that someone said Garou ran an 18 hour spawn under his entry in this beastiary. I suggest that this may be a shared spawn between Garou and Lodizal. Anyone seen these two pop close together that would dispute my speculations?

Posted:Aug 12 2001 at 3:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am in a really good guild that can take him down easy. BUT i am wondering, how aften dose he spawn.
I just always find it funny when one answer is "yes, we've done it with one group" and another answer is "no haha you absolutely can't do it."
Well, *that* poster obviously can't do it in HIS one group, but the *prior* poster obviously can do it in HIS group, so the answer is probably, depending upon the group, yes, you can do it.
I've never even seen this turtle. He drops something I want for some sort of eyepatch quest but realize I have no business posting here. I just can't help but laugh when one answer says yes you can and then someone comes along and calls them a liar, even though they've obviously done it before.
Hmm...Level 59 Warrior here off the Rodcet Knife Server Blarenz.m In regards to the Fear Kitting Technique - Try it :) You never know it may just work. But i would just like to let you know that i have heard of a Level 60 shammy by the name of Zalkor solo this.. He admits though he took him 30 mins:)P
