Codex of the Warrior is for a Plane of Knowledge quest where you have to collect some different books and turn in. Look under Plane of Knowledge quests.

I am 42 and this blizzard dervish conned dark blue to me. He wiped me out quick and I had a 39 Shaman with me. Think I might wait a few more levels before I try one of these again.

Anyone know what this is for? I just looted it off a blizzard dervish and cannot find any information on it.
Conned white to me at 41, then commenced to beating the crap out of me, another ranger who was 38 at the time, and a 37 monk.
Think about that for a sec, 2 rangers and a monk got reamed by this thing, and barely moved it's life bar. We were all down to one bubble before we ran like little girls for the GD zone, and this thing hadn't even taken a bubble of damage yet.
I guess it was just a bad time to zone out of CC 'eh??

Every Blizzard Dervish I consider is red to me at 37, however Snow Dervishes are considerably lower.

Torque of Hoar Frost is a NECK piece
To the best of my knowledge (after 5 levels of hunting in Eastern Wastes) Iceball is common, ring is uncommon, mantle is uncommon and torque is rare...uncounted numbers of iceballs, 6 rings, 3 mantles and 2 torques

Snow dervishes are 30-35.
Blizzard dervishes are usually 38+, as they cannot be charmed with the lower Bard Charm.

I think the max level should be increased a bit to maybe 39 or 40. One conned blue to a 51 necro.

this lvl is for a snow dervish not blizzard, some con yellow to a lvl 40 so they should be lvl 35-45ish

I fought one last night and it conned blue to me at 46 killed my fire pet and i managed to nuke it. dropped a frozen mantle :) 6ac 10 mana.

These as well as the snow dervishes drop an item called a Frosted Gem
Looks like a cone of the mystics, goes into the ranged slot and the stats are STR -5, INT +3 and MANA +30, awesome drop..VERY rare though I'm guessing, they are also NO DROP so..sorry no easy cash here people :)

Yup there nice .... for new bee got one for my lvl 10 necro ,camped him there till i could loot it ,but for higher lvl ??? i would think there is better out there

(I've seen one drop two at once. Not rare at all, so if you want one, just look around for either one of these Dervishes, or their corpse, as these are often left on the corpse due to their Lore status)

The Torque of Hoar Frost is actually to be placed on the neck. Too bad would have liked to use till I got another forest loop :(

these critters often drop the frozen mantle, which is ac6 mana+20 (might be off on the mana part) ..fairly common i've noticed
