As of Sept 4th 2008 saying " phats lewts" to this mob will get you a DT ..I just did it right now for kicks.. yup it works!

People mis-understand this. The old story was if you said phat lewts you got free plat, and a lot of it, but you just get a DT, which "does" work. However, if he has aggro on someone he won't DT for some reason.
this guy doesnt DT any more, or if he does im resisting it.

Ok, the "phat lewt" thing DOES NOT WORK. I've been on countless PoG raids where n00bs who zone in ask if I can take them to Prince Thirneg so they can try to win some cash.
Honestly, I take them to him just to get a laugh when they die, but for all you n00bs who keep asking questions about it on sites, knock it off. We're not saying it doesnt work so we can keep the cash for ourselves (which if it worked would be a good idea). We're saying that cause we've either been through the DT or seen someone else fall to the Plane of Mischeif's dirty joke.

Just out of curiousity I went to PoG and tested the phat lewtz thing. It does in fact work.

So he DT's if you ask him about phat lewts. which he should as someone else pointed out, but Dont try and trick others into saying it to get killed its just not cool. Let them get killed for other reasons. And just to note, The hint of him having phat lewts came from a hand in Plane of MISCHIEF! notice anything that might be part of the humor the GM's were going for? why are you trusting what a hand says anyway? How did it tell you?

Prince Thirneg is in the bottom floor of Tunare's Tree inside POG. He is NOT level 60, he is Red to a level 60 - so I'm guessing 62 or 63. You need a Non Kos druid or ranger to pull him out of the tree if you don't want to clear all mobs to kill him. Once you harmonize his whole room and the two or three tranquil treants behind him thru the wall, Target him and Pull him thru the wall and you should definately get him as a single pull. Try to run out or range and invis yourself then run to your group so that no more mobs aggro. Once in camp, have your druid or ranger log or Q out so you don't take faction. Prince can be easily killed by 1 strong group and he drops those tasty belts or bard flutes usually and almost always a nice spell. He usually needs to be knocked down about 15% before slow will land, and once slow lands, he is cake. Kill all, Stay Alive.... Whom Everr Quellious Enchanter

my guild took out PoG the other week, and we got two of those nice belts to drop...on a side note, this guy is easy...REAL easy...as a 52 necro i hit him with 3 dot's and everything landed except DD lifetaps...then guild went to take out treah, but she wasn't up :( damn i wanted a robe!

Midsummer is one word. But you do have the right play regarding Puck, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The beard is kinda outta place. Puck was androgynous (you never find out for sure if he is a guy or a girl) and Pan didn't have facial hair. Makes this guy a character all his own.
