Was able to handle this guy pretty easily with level 60 druid and merc tank. Was resistant to magic. I was unable to land ensnare or root. Took two to three casts to land magic and fire dots. Fled at 20% but did not aggro other mobs.
Conned dubious but still responded to dialogue.
Wis capped at 255, gives me 5188 mana. Had about 60% left. Had to heal merc (Tier 5 apprentice) with Tunare's about 4 times.
This guy spawns near the froglok city. He's a super easy kill, and we had no trouble from anyone named Durgroz or whatever his name is...we just walked up, laid the smackdown on him, our tank never went below 95%. Dropped froglok essence, a piece of the druid epic which is needed to spawn the triggered Faydedar in the little piece of paradise by Dolgin Codslayer toward the southern end of the zone.
Easy is relative to what level and class you are? A friend asked my to help her with this guy last night and things went pretty bad. I had not red up on this guy and so I figured we could take him. He was blue to me (59 War) and I think gray/white to her (54 Druid). Being the tank (a pretty good one so I thought) that I was and trying to show off to the lady, I jumped right in. Well, it turns out I was only landing about 1/3 of all my attacks and my druid lady was not able to get much of any of her spells to land either, things went bad very fast from there. I think she tried to evac us out, but it was too late and we both died. We’ll probably try again tonight, and be successful with my other 61 level druid helping. 59War Tank, 61Druid Heal and dot, 54Druid Heal and dot. Just make sure to have KIE, and virtue on war. Not your typical blue mobster
He might be slowable as stated below but my 66 enchanter was unable to slow him after tashing, although he only tried 3-4 times. I was trying to keep my DC pet alive at the same time.
Perhaps trying longer would be the best.
I tried to fear him once too, and it was resisted.

Ulump is extremely resistant but he is not unslowable as he was back in the old days. I was able to slow him with Malos and Balance of Discord; however, I only got it to land once in 8 tries. Perhaps with a bard debuff and a Tash it would be more consistent. I wouldn't have bothered trying but I noticed the proc on the Greater Spiked Staff was actually landing, which it shouldn't have if he was 100% MR.

Well I decided to get my epic 1.0 so I could go on to the 2.0. Solo'd this guy with my 70 druid, 6500hp, and 6200 mana. Put on DS and basically dotted him to death while he beat on me. Very cold and fire resistant but cold seemed to work better on nukes. Swarming Dots land about 75% of the time. I have lots of friends but just thought I'd try him alone.

ok just my 2c worth you dont need a lot of tanks or even a good group all you need is a bored 70th sdknt thanks a million Tyraal he walked in the swamp with me and proceded to woop ulump but all over the swamp 2 min max and ill i did was ask so all you need is one decent person with a high lvl and a good heart to take this guy out i know no info in this but its so hard to find any kinnda help these days i had to post and thank Tyraal for helping out a stranger with his epic some good people left on the game you just have to find em. 55 druid prexus (tt)
I got U.P. on the way to WoS with a guild group. 63 druid, 61 paladin, 65 shaman, 70 enchanter. It was overkill I admit but at least I/he didnt suffer much. Jadetear Cryingwolf-Firiona Vie
Just killed him with a 56 Cleric, 56 Necro, 57 Bard and a 66 Rogue for tanking. Just doesn't seem as bad as he use to be when I was doing my epic with my Druid a year ago.

Duo'd him with a 63 monk and 63 Druid. Long fight, 10-12 min. Monk had Virt, 5k hp, and DS up, using 2hb to reduce riposite dam. Max hit was 225. Druid did 1 or 2 DoT's but gave up and saed mana for CH's. Ran at 18%.
I burned all my Discs, and got to use StoneStance 3 times.
that guy agro me near the newbie zone, in Swamp of no Hope at +1200 +3000, hit for 225. Surprised (i m unbuffed), I have juste the time to FD and me pet died. After regen, i run like hell to cabilis and zone safely. The mobs stay 1H near the cab. entrance. Necro 65
Seems like this guy has a vastly increased agro range since the OoW patch. My ranger does the berserker cycle in this zone and I knew very well the range to stay away from Ulump and still attack a froglok without danger of him assisting. But since the patch it seems that range is greatly increased.
Took this mob down with a 55 driud(guildie) and myself 65 mage 26aa's. I had buffs on earth pets. And we just chain healed the pet. My nukes didnt work very well. So I used all mana on healing the pet. We pulled the mob to the FV zoneline while doing this just in case.....
Took with me 65CLR 65WAR 59WAR 55DRU(me) 54DRU 65MAG 53BST. Overkill but beats dieing, 65 war pulled and got hate up brought him back to a camp we set up a bit east of spawn. If you go east till you hit a little hill thats where we pulled to, had no adds from any where. Took about 3 mins
Ahem... I have been to this place numerous times to steal, loot, plunder ect.. I already had my Charasis key and was helping someone else get theirs several months ago. After we were done, I backstabbed Dugroz for 32002 hp and he dropped. At that very second, Ulump spawned and started swinging right at the spot where Dugroz hangs out. Having said that, just a few minutes ago, I was after NoHope Moss for poison making. So I was assassinating left and right, until Ulump finally showed up on the upper deck of Froglock City. So I don't think there's a particular place that he spawns at at any given time. He is more like the enforcer of the Froglocks. Piss off enough of them, or the wrong one, and he'll come knocking.

that is his exact spawn location. Its in the water, along the shore, near dugroz.
Respawn is about 1hr and 50-55 mins.
Hitting Durgroz was an old rumor, because people wouldnt see Ulump, but he would assist Dugroz. Once in a while, he will warp if there is a tree between you and him.
He does not spawn anywhere else. If you see him somewhere else, it is because someone brought him there.
This is simply just not true. I was the only one in the zone for quite a while, and had been all over the place on the upper deck. After I killed my like 50th froggy, he spawned OUT OF NOWHERE. I was looking right at him when he popped. So I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but that "exact spawn location" is just false.
He will agro when Dugroz is fighting someone nearby. He will warp up to the top if he is below you and agros. He does not always walk back to his spawn point right away, but sometimes remains where he stopped running. When his 1 hour and 52 minute spawn time comes around, he will wander back to his original spawn location. If he is warped into a wall (like him chasing someone out to trak's teeth through tunnel), he will wander back to his spawn, and remain underworld until he assists something above.
The loc I posted is his EXACT spawn location.
You try sitting at his camp for 16 hours straight, timing each and every pop, playing with his pathing, and seeing if he can be hidden in various spots in the zone.
Me and a 65 shaman friend have tried several times in the past week to find him. We have been unsuccessful in finding the loc -217 and -1700 in the Swamp of No Hope. I've run all over the zone and have NEVER found him on track. Could I possibly be doing something wrong?
We found him not far from the frog city in SoNH, right next to the turn-in frog for the Howling Stones Key.
After my 56 druid and 65 paladin friend turned in our HS key items, some guildies popped into zone to take out Ulump. We had 65 pally, 65 shammy, 62 druid, 2 - 57 warriors, and myself, 56 druid. Ulump went down fast for us with all that muscle on him, I would say 2 mins tops, but I wasn't watching a clock.
My wife a 65 Druid, and I 65 ranger have currently started working on her epic. Be it she finally decided to do it, or Epic 2.0. Seems alot of folks have been doing Epics because of 2.0. So finding a mob up and taking it have been a tad harder. Anyways we zone into SoNH and I hit track...yup he's up. I have helped several druids in the past with this fight, but none recently. I knew about him being high MR, high HP's and hits for 200ish. In the past a good mellee heavy group with maybe outside healers had no problem. However we did not have that luxury, a guild raid had been called just after us entering the zone. Both of us wouldn't have been able to attend, because we had to camp in about 30mins. So wife says, "Lets try him, I have lesser succor up.". Wife has some inate druid sense when to cast succor and has saved many a wipe, it's her favorite spell I think, and always memmed. I sigh and say ok, we'll try. We buff and I engage. Tried to slow with Epics...small hope there but after 3rd resist switched to two hander. Mob never hit for more than 220ish, base mean hits would be low to mid 100's. Mob did summon. Wife landed about 50% of her dots and while my cold based spell was always resisted, my fire based nuke landed for half damage being resisted twice. Fight lasted about 10 mins, mob turned at 16% at which time I hit trueshot, because I was lazy and didn't want to mellee anymore, that and looking at the hindquarters of mobs soloing for 10 levels fearkiting kinda scarred me. He eventually drops while me and wife are making jokes of Ulump Pujluk /Shouts TRAIN to ZONE!!, grin..he never made it. Well wife is happy so far the whole thing has been me and her, last few parts, jade reaver, VSR, and Dragon probally can't Duo, but as long as she has succor up you never know. Funny how much the game has changed over the years, couple years ago we probally would have hit succor.
Ok, so went to kill him last night. Just a 55 Druid and 65 Beast. Fight took a while (8-10 mins?)and yes he does have a decent regen. Doesn't hit hard only about 110-200 at max. Both of us ended up oom just as he ran at about 10%. Paragon would have been nice, but the bst never did cast it. Snares never landed either mine or the bst pet proc. I as druid just sat back, sent in pet (cute little bear!), put a DS on the bst and his pet, and kept casting Ro's on the frog(Both the dot/debuff, and the debuff)both got resisted about 1/3 of the casts, and then did my little Choloro heals. Easy mob, although the bst said he never was able to get his slow to land (his epic slow did proc and hold I beleive). Think we both wasted alot of mana on usless casts of spells. Might reccomend 2 melee and you (as the druid wanting the drop) as healer when you go for him. Just my 2 bits. Hope it helps.
Working on my epic, my friends and I tried last night with a small group. We had a 61 Ranger, a 65 Cleric, a 57 Enchanter, and me, 52 Druid. It was tough. The enchanter was basically useless because tashes, mezzes, and changes of speed spells did not work period. HIGH magic resists although a few of my nukes did land for small damage. Ranger with epic and cleric with epic did most of the work. Cleric basically complete healed the ranger while he was tanking. All of my dots landed except for a few resists of drones of doom. Ulump turned and ran when he was about 18% health. At that point in time, cleric started nuking, with marginal success, and I continued to dot like a madman. He went down after a long fight, about 8 minutes. But it was worth it. Only VSR and Fay to complete epic! I am on my way.

Killed last night for epic. He was very easy, tried first with me (57 druid), 65 sk, 63 warr (unbuffed), and 55 ranger. If my kei hadn't faded and the warrior had been buffed we would have won the first time around. Very high magic resists as he resisted some of my conj dots and some of the sk's dots (did land leechcurse a few times though). Called in a cleric and it was overkill, good luck to everyone else that trys to kill him.
Took him out tonight with me (58 Druid) and a 65 Beastlord. Took all but 10 minutes and he was hitting the Beastlord for 225 dmg. Dots, root and snare all got resisted, and all I did was cast Tunare's Renewal on the Beastlord a few times. He wasn't double attacking, so like I said, took 10 minutes, if it took that long.

just killed with 54 warrior tanking, me (59 druid) healing, 65 rogue and 65 shaman assisting. shammy kept qui on warrior...frog just wouldnt slow..even from a 65 shammy.
tough fight, prolly between 5-10 minutes. take a strong late 50s group with you at LEAST to be safe.
Yeah I took him down the other day with a 65 druid, 56 sk, and 65 enchanter.... kept chainruning the sk and he went down fast. Resisted all my slows but I don't think hes immune. Harmtouch got thru for 1744 damage
Just killed him today for a guildie. With 2 Ogre warriors with dualing Copper Hammers of Striking and Sword of the Bloodsworns we took him out easily. We had about 2 nukers and some healers. Died in 1 to 2 minutes.
Soloed him today with my 65 SK...I had 7k hps at teh timE almost fully raid buffed. Had to use leech disc during the end to heal and used super HT fr 5k cause he resisted few to many taps spells during the battle.
Many spells will be resisted save mana for most important ones.
I went in with my 62 bst. I had Virtue and KEI. Summoned and buffed pet, and pulled with slow. Paragon'd once during fight. Wasn't too bad. I have defensive aa's though, that helped.
so, i've taken ulump down twice before, no problem. and tonight i was epic raiding with my guild... we did VSR for me and a ranger, Drovlarg Warlod for a bard, Dark Elf Corruptor for me, Tarbul Earthstrider for our mage, Phinny for various epics, the dark elf camp in kithikor for rogue epic, and then just for good measure we went in force to kill Ulump. i say in force but it was really just a race between the 3 groups to see who could get there firstand kill him =). the group that downed him was 61 druid, 60 bst, 56 druid, 55 ranger, 55 monk, 54 rogue and he was a pushover for us. took about 5 minutes to kill him due to his high hps but tank(bst) never dropped below 40%. anyways, just thought i would post as a testament to my eweberness *snicker* lol j/k --Baroness Athenya Stargazer 56th Druidess of <Forsaken Myth> Run Speed 3, Regen 3, Mental Clarity 1 Vallon Zek (PvP Teams)
for what its worth, killed him tonight with a 59 ranger tanking. I chain casted CH as a 61 druid, not a single slow landed. 65, chanter slowing, with a 65 bard, 60 wizard, and 59 druid adding DPS and what not to the mix.
In other words, doesn't hit incredibly hard... easily beatable by less at higher levels. Was a fun fight in all.
I think 59 druid landed 1 CH after i went OOM, I'm not sure entirely.
he ran for us at 10% he resisted 109 out of 120 of my stuns we had me 65 Paladin,61 Cleric,59 Wizard,56 Druid now he didn't resist a single dot from the druids he went down pretty fast costing complete of 4 CH from Cleric he hit me max of 250 but with my AA training the highest he did was 225 took us 15min to kill him
Took him with 51 ranger 62 ranger 65 SK 58 cleric 56 druid (me) 52 wizzy 65 chanter 53 bard and I know there was another caster but now I can't remember what it was.
We definetly coulda done it with less. When he was at 80% I went LD (yikes!) and so I logged back on 3 mins later and he was down.
3 deaths...the cleric, the chanter, and a ranger.
